Welcome to the Out-of-character thread for April Showers, a short puzzle & RP game of wacky weather hosted by me and Lizica. The mystery is set surrounding the low fantasy town of Uffnewt. Pretty sure Uffnewt is an anagram, though I won't say what I think it's an anagram of, in case people wanted to figure that out for themselves. Anyway, we got our chatter thread, very exciting. I'm going to go ahead and repost Jess and her Guinea Pig Taffy, just so it's in the correct thread now. Spunky twelve year old girl with Guinea Pig and a bag of tricks. And June, Rabbit, these character designs look so great!! I'm super psyched to meet them proper. =D Annnnd the game is now up! We'll probably have a day or so for people to say hi and do some complaining and all that fun stuff, and then we'll start the first puzzle tomorrow. (There won't be a timeskip, and the puzzle shouldn't interrupt anything a huge amount, so if you're in the middle of an interaction then, you should be able to continue on.) |

Have another character ref! \o/ This is Gibi (last name still pending), a well-meaning girl who always has an air of melancholy, and who seems to have a knack for telling when something unfortunate is about to happen (at least, when it may happen to her or those close to her). And now to start on her first post! |

The first puzzle will be dropping later today! There will be no timeskip or change in setting for this puzzle, and it is currently slotted for two days to allow collaboration across all timezones.

The PC characters are solving this puzzle, but it doesn't need to be strictly done "onscreen" if you want to prioritize other interactions. You can post it IC, OOC or PM it to other players. |

Yay, got a post up! (Alas, the game caught me on a day where I was sleep deprived and caught between things and undecided where exactly to take characterization, and I ended up needing another day to think. Thus, my intro post, "get my character to the main place" post, and "hey, a puzzle!" post are all in one. Hence the length. Sorry about that!) Post spoilers: Yup, another meteorologist character! This was planned before, I promise. xD Hopefully they're distinct! Speaking from experience, there are many types of people in one office.
Basically, this is the type of person, in response to a terrifying hurricane, would go "oh wow that's amazing, look at that!!".
Which I may or may not relate to, but I remember to go "oh, and this is also terrible." Also, when I made my post draft, I wasn't really set on a name, and used a filler name. Wanting to post it soon but not wanting to take too long, I decided to go to the Writing channel of the discord for quick answers. And... Well. Here is the history of how Era got their name. On one hand, I had every intention of sticking to the meepitgang for the rest of the game. On the other hand, I just wanted to get the puzzle piece posted in relatively short order and using the gang would've made for very convoluted postwriting, so here we are.
And on the third hand we have two little mutant-hands where one feels I should go back to the meepitgang for the main POV after this and the other just really wants to team them up with Jeff the Totally Random Passerby.
I'll see how I feel once postwriting inspiration strikes again :'D
