Thanks for responding, June! (And good luck at work and cleaning the yard!) We're pretty sure you aren't the only person who's been really busy with RL lately, so we think we'll change the time frame from every day to every other day. Hopefully it'll be a little less stressful for everyone, and allow more space for people to pitch in with their own ideas?
So that means we're moving the current deadline for Turn 2 to tomorrow, June 19th, at 10:00 pm EST, and we'll aim to have the following turns last for about 48 hrs.

Popping in to remind everyone that Cassidy is a healer so if anyone needs her or will need her during the course of this battle...yeah. She has no offensive punches except the Sheer Shears though, so she's squishy.

I personally think we should do the following: Magical attack with the earplugs on the snake plant.
Physical attack with the shears on bamboo
Physical attack with the gauntlets on the snake plant. |

It seems we already did the shears' physical attack on the bamboo. I guess it could weaken it further, but I'm also feeling kinda bad for it. xD
I agree with the earplugs suggestion. My full list of suggestions:
-Earplugs - Magical - Snake Plant
-Shears - Maybe don't use this time. I feel like just because we can doesn't mean we should.
-Gauntlets - Magical - Large Bamboo
I'm also open to a Physical Gauntlet attack on the Large Bamboo. |

Here is what I was thinking: Earplugs (Magical) on Snake Plant.
Shears (Physical) on Large Bamboo.
Gauntlets (Magical) on Snake Plant.
Also, as an aside... I'm not sure about the feasibility, but might it be streamlined and more interactive if a poll could be setup somewhere to vote on for these combat turns? |

Agreed with Gelquie, I'd rather not use physical shears on poor bamboo-boo. :c
I'd rather go for the gauntlets, as it's already damaged and might be more gauntlet-able that way, and since we haven't tried the gauntlets' magical move yet (iirc), I'm curious to test what it does.
Oh, maybe the shears' magical move could be tested on Snekkyplant instead?
Also there are many possibilities for move combinations so I think figuring out a way to set up a poll would take even longer than just chatting about the moves here. xD |

Sorry, I did not realise shears had already been used on the bamboo-boo (I love that name).
Agree that magical attack with Gauntlets on Bamboo-boo might be fun. Could also use the shears on the snekk, although I am ambivalent about whether magical or physical would work. Leaning towards physical |

That's why I suggested the shears' magical move, I'm hoping it does something that's not just biting at them. That is a risk to take, though. D=
If the move does have an effect, it might give us a better idea of how to use the shears on Kid Kudzu. |

LiouHm, that is true. From the narratorpost for round one, it did seem to describe it more as a slice-y, wind-y blast of magic than physically cutting one.
So I guess I can go either way on either using the Shears' magical attack on the snake, or not using the Shears at all. By the way, I'm loving the "how did this even happen" vibe of the latest narratorpost. xDD Good theme for the entire thing, really.

So I put some stuff together for reference! Round Summaries!Round 1Shears – Magical – Large Bamboo – Created slicing windy blast of magic; it briefly recoiled; otherwise, no effect. Earplugs – Magical – Bamboo Shoot #2 – Has the powers of “eugh, stop it!”. Paused the shoot’s growth. Gauntlets – Physical – Bamboo Shoot #1 – Uprooted the shoot, which rolled away to replant elsewhere; pacified. Kudzu Golem advances from Back to Middle; Spider Plant’s position is unchanged. Round 2Shears – Physical – Large Bamboo – Does exactly what you think. Damaged the Large Bamboo; made it angry. Earplugs – Magical – Large Bamboo – No effect Gauntlets – Physical – Bamboo Shoot #2 – Uprooted the shoot, which rolled away to replant elsewhere; pacified. Spider Plant advances from Middle to Front. Kudzu Golem’s position is unchanged. Round 3 (In progress) ---- Now other responses! I think a magical attack would make more sense with the gauntlets on the bamboo, as it is large, but I can go either way on that.
Also, after writing the summaries, it makes me think that maybe we're supposed to cut the large bamboo (plants are used to cuttings, albeit this one is taking it... badly), and then uproot the large bamboo? It'd be cut in size, but not dead.
Still, I'll be happy if the gauntlets work. xD |
