Hi everyone! We're so sorry for the confusion!! We decided to move the poll over here to the OOC thread, to try to keep everything in one place. We've now locked and nixed the separate poll-- If you already voted there in the separate poll, please vote again here! And thanks for the poll idea, RielCZ! Since a lot of different ideas were going around in the OOC chat, it did seem like it could be a good idea to use one. Hopefully all its options don't look too overwhelming! About what we weapons we should use where. I don't really mind what we do with the other things, but I really think we should use the Gauntlet's physical attack on the Bamboo this turn. It worked to dig up the other two shoots, so I think it stands to reason it'd do the same for the lager one, especially since it's damaged. If you're concerned about hurting the bamboo, remember that the shoots safely rolled away one dug up. And while it's true we won't get to see its magical attack this way, I think we can stand to wait a turn for that. |

Re: The gauntlet's attack - The reason I suggest magical for the gauntlet is because I don't think we can physically uproot a large bamboo that is, well, that large, and also trying to thwack us. I figure maybe magical has a better chance of doing the trick. |

Gonna leave the rest of the night to reactions for now, except for me suggesting that maybe trying the shears again to bring it down to size is indeed the way to go with the large bamboo. xD |

Kat I hear you have a healer at the ready? She might want to check on Taffy because she was just tossed about. (Though Taffy's actually perfectly fine for some ~magical~ reason. It's actually Jess who has a few scrapes from diving for the ground.)

Yayy, I got it right! About the current storm, would our character be able to see the, ah.... very clear symptoms of the storm, from where they are? I assume so, I just wanna be sure before I post! (Also, I may be completely overlooking an obvious thing, but is there a sort of transparent ceiling to this greenhouse, or are we out in the open to said storm?)EDIT: Went and looked and yup, I did overlook an obvious thing in that there's a glass ceiling. xD Just my first question, then! I know we've seen other signs. Specifically I'm referring to the... bears As for strategy, my votes are in. I don't have many ideas for the earplugs besides to go along with magically using them on the kudzu golem. A part of me is going "what if physical attack with the earplugs on the snake plant is the way to go?". I don't know how that'd translate, and it's kinda late to suggest that now, but it's an idea I'll throw out there for later nomming. |

Specifically I'm referring to the... bears Just to double-confirm, yup, there is a transparent glass ceiling in this area of the greenhouse (which is why the rain outside is currently just making the loud pounding noise, rather than outright drenching the party), though the ceiling might be a little obscured by the plants. And I don't think the Err Bearnado has made it to the Lady's house and greenhouse just yet. Ray has only just reported that it was preparing to touch down on the outskirts of town. (So maybe think of the Err Bearnado less as an immediate threat to the party and more as a ticking time bomb if they fail to reach Iris in time?) That said, though, it probably wouldn't be unreasonable that the characters might be able to see an occasional errant Err Bear fly by above, in addition to the rain and lightning? (One could also have an Uffnewt Weather Station app or something that might ping with an emergency alert or broadcast? Up to you!) |

Double-posting with new turn updates! If anyone's curious, when the poll closed, we had a tie between "Use Ethereal Earplugs (physical) on Snake Plant" and "Use Ethereal Earplugs (magical) on Kudzu Golem," with two votes each. So we set tails as the snake plant, and heads as the kudzu golem, and then Pixie flipped three coins, while I flipped two. That said, though, it probably wouldn't be unreasonable that the characters might be able to see an occasional errant Err Bear fly by above, in addition to the rain and lightning? Hi I want the group to see an Err Bear fly the whole way over the greenhouse, flapping its paws like wings, and another Err Bear pretending to swim on its back as it also drifts across the sky above us, and another Err Bear SPLAT against the glass ceiling and just. Stare at us. |
