I went with candy because they didn't specify whether Marble meant the toys or the rock, and I didn't really care for it if it were the toy.
Floral would've been better had they given it a color scheme instead of just dumping all manner of flowers on it. XD Would've been interesting to have pets that looked like they belonged in the Macy's parade. XD

Aaand the poll is closed. I didn't expect that, especially since TNT is on holiday...

I sort of figured Candy would win from the on-site boards, honestly.
Let's just cross our fingers they do really cool candy types, like licorice or lollipops or... alright I admit I'm not much of a candy person and I've sort of run out of ideas.

Alright, it was my second pick. I still have my concerns with but as long as they keep it looking "realistic" and doing different kinds of candy it should be alright. I'm just hoping Marble isn't completely thrown out, like maybe every year or so have a new PB voting competition and bring over the 1st Runner-up of the previous one to give it another chance. Let's just cross our fingers they do really cool candy types, like licorice or lollipops or... alright I admit I'm not much of a candy person and I've sort of run out of ideas. Candy cane, licorice, lollipop (I'm guessing like the traditional swirl design), gum drops, cotton candy, rock candy... and that's it really without crossing into Chocolate, Custard, Jelly, or Mallow.

I do sort of fear that it's all just going to be Peppermint looking, since Chocolate seems to do a lot of Candy too.

Oh ye of little sugar-mindedness! You got your small-piece candies like pop rocks, Nerds, and many varieties of sprinkles (stick, nonpareil, and those little star-shaped ones like in Spirited Away). Hard fruit candies like Jolly Ranchers or fruit drops. Taffy, caramel, Starbursts, nougat, stuff that's ooey-gooey-chewy. Obvs the holiday favorites like candy corn, candy cane, Peeps, or Valentines conversation hearts. Gummies, of all shapes (bear, worm, shark, orange wedge) Jelly beans M&M/Skittles, or Red-Hots Candied coconut or other fruits. Possibly crossing over into small-cake or ice cream territories with cherries or macarons or macaroons or those wafer biscuit things... (can you tell I have a sweet tooth?) And no one's saying chocolate bits can't also make their way into the designs, so long as they don't look like a solid piece of chocolate. In fact, all your examples of Custard, Jelly, and Mallow are all basically one texture across every pet's design, whereas Candy can incorporate lots of different bits. Doubters need to go back and watch Willy Wonka again! XD

Make the Neopet out of it? Sprinkles and Wafer is generally combined with by Chocolate. How would you do Konpeitō (the Japanese star candy), Jolly Ranchers, Starbursts, & Valentine's Hearts without it looking like just a one palette paint job with maybe some sheen to give it a gloss look (possibly making it look like Jelly)? Taffy, Caramel, Nougat crosses with Chocolate & Custard in appearance. Peeps covered by Mallow. They really should expand Mallow from just a Grundo exclusive Colour. Gummies would looks a lot like Jelly unless we're talking about gumdrops. Pastries like cakes I think are pushing the concept. I'll give you Candy Corn though. And yes, there's nothing saying Candy can't have or be this stuff, but I would then argue what's the point of Candy if its going to do something another Colour does? I'm trying to imagine how the candy design will look and would it look different from an existing Colour we already have or wouldn't look too simple.

Candy corn shows up on chocolate too, brah. XD Behold my pride and joy (who got zapped chocolate just like I wanted within like... two weeks of trying, without changing species.) I should feed my side account pets, lol.

I'm trying to imagine how the candy design will look and would it look different from an existing Colour we already have or wouldn't look too simple. Obviously all your problems stem with making the 'Pet out of a singular candy piece instead of different pieces and textures. Or getting hung up with the idea that GASP Chocolate has sprinkles on it so nothing else could ever have sprinkles. But look, Chocolate is brown and Custard is yellow. If you want ANY other color in the edible rainbow, you've ONLY got Jelly, which is a singular texture through-and-through. ALSO, pretty much every species already HAS a Chocolate color. So saying "But you could do that with Chocolate!" is a moot point when they DIDN'T do it with Chocolate and the opportunity is now missed. Clearly tonight I shall have to draw up my own ideas for all ya'll Veruca Salts! XD
