Today's animation and prizes have been my favorite so far. I don't know if they can beat that. The nightsteed sort of looks like stealthy at first.
What do you think? Do you think he is more comfortable being like a mummy? The king is rich and can afford to repaint him as many colors and as often as he wants. |

NIGHTSTEED, YES. <3 Even if I don't write for the NT anymore, I have such fond thoughts about him still. And aww, that animation is adorable. Even scary mummy horses can be made to look pretty with a few tactful applications of Christmas lights and presents.
I like the presents as well but EEEEEE. Nostalgia overdrive for yours truly thanks to that animation! |

Day 19 (Silent Nightsteed) ANIMATION: I get and like the idea behind the animation but I feel it needed some changes. First, place it in Sakhmet. Why are Qasalans afraid of Nightsteed? Or, since Tomos is with them, are they from Sakhmet? If so I feel you needed more familiar Sakhmet characters (like the other ex-Desert Scarabs, Amira, Vyssa, and their council; make the story that the Sakhmet royalty is coming over to Qasala for a holiday visit).
Second, don't have Tomos be the one to reveal that's Nightsteed and is afraid of him. Sure, last time we saw them meet Nightsteed was chasing them, but I think between the end of the Lost Desert Plot and now that Nabile's best friend would have let bygones be bygones with Jazan's best friend. Thus he would not only not be afraid of Nightsteed, he wouldn't be a jerk and reveal Nightsteed's identity to anyone.
Third, as for who would reveal it, maybe have it be no one. First Jazan and Nabile walks in and everyone cheers, than Nightsteed walks in and those who haven't seen him or don't know him are terrified (in my scenario I'd imagine only Tomos and Amira wouldn't be afraid).
From there the animation can go on as we saw it.
Also, JS, why do you keep putting Jazan in his black robes? Not that there's anything wrong with it, but those robes are generally linked to his cursed form and you'd think greeting guests he'd wear his white or red robes.
GIFT: Ah, right, on one day we 4 gifts; 2 NP, 2 NC.
First off, JS, you don't need to put in the name of the species if the item, especially a wearable, has nothing to do with the species outside of the animation. Uni Lights Garland isn't Uni exclusive, any Neopet can wear it and looks like a normal string of lights, so why is it called Uni Lights Garland? Also, it's not a garland, its a necklace. So it should more be called "String Lights Necklace". Otherwise looks like it could be a neat addition to a Christmas Customisation.
Paper Stars Garland looks alright, it can probably be used for something cute.
Also if you're going to give an ice-based Shenanigifts Invitation 1-Pack maybe you should update Shenanigifts with an ice themed one. The current parties are Luau, Garden, and Lunar Festival and I think they've been going on for a year or two, might be time for a change.

I have a feeling that the NC stuff was supposed to be tomorrow's items, just like what happened with the car. Not that I'm complaining, since I can put the Shenanigifts pack in my gallery. ovo Day 20: The guess in the spoiler above is wrong. :x
Also, another quick Fir. I missed it twice. Refreshing the page instead of rewatching the whole animation saved a bit of time, though. |

Is Kell on another coffee fix? :3 Anyway, I did notice him before in the Advent Calendar this year from the back. I remember seeing him during the Tarla animation from the back. Then again, that might just be me.  |

Day 20 (Vote For Borovan) ANIMATION: I don't quite get what's going on. The patrons are voting for what they'll all get to drink? Well, eitherway the winner was obviously going to be borovan, heck I think it'd probably win even if it wasn't Borovan Day. Which is odd as this is a coffee house yet Borovan isn't coffee, its hot chocolate with asparagus.
GIFT: I like the book though I think JS needs to work on their names. Since its both a menu and a coaster why not call it "Coffee Cave Menu Coaster"?

I thought Borovan with hot chocolate with some asparagus. Has anyone ever tried to make this?
My dad used to put a piece of cheddar cheese in his coffee sometimes. I tried it before. You can't taste cheese and then you have a glop of cheese at the bottom that you just eat. I guess it isn't that bad, if you like cheese. It is just weird. I just googled that and apparently that is a thing. |

At very least, we're seeing comebacks from a large number of our old characters. It's nice to see! Now, if they can show some love to our DC/MD War friends, I'll be giggling with fangirl glee. Despite some of the... oddness, I think it shows that they've been making an effort. We'll just have to wait and see from here on out, but thus far, it's been quite enjoyable . It is nice to see the old favourites getting some love . I've found the animations so far this year decidedly not disappointing. Also: looks like somebody's wish came true! |

I have to say, I thought this was kinda funny. I can imagine everyone having some pent up feelings about Kass. With everyone hoping for animations for old plot or event characters and coming true, can I do the same for SFC characters? No, I do not mean Kell fro the back. :3 |
