mac & Shinko:
Oh... okay, yeah, I did that. BUT that sounds like a very minor offense, nothing warranting a strike against my account! As you said, though I'm sure some people who put something up as "Reserved" plan on giving it to a friend or family member, I'm sure many don't plan on selling it and have it up there for, well, safekeeping (infact don't people do this to get the "I Taunt the Pant Devil" Avatar? ). Also I would argue at the time I was in a bit of a daze as I missed getting the Maraquan Apple so I was scrambling around the TP trying to find one (I saw people putting up items up as "Reserved" which gave me the idea to do this so I don't get my item stolen by a Random Event). I wasn't really thinking that clearly and now my account is at risk? Come on, I'm human, I make mistakes just like everyone else.
I just want to note, I'm okay getting a Warning since I did break a rule (and I won't do this again now that I know about it). However what I'm complaining about is that it's rather a minor offense that I don't think really deserves to put a strike on my account. Once again, other people get away with this because they put "Reserved" or nothing at all. I feel like I got a traffic ticket for speeding even though everyone else was driving at the same speed because I was driving a bright red car and everyone else were in black.
However what I'm more worried about is the 2nd incident. I got the Warning late thus didn't know what was the problem and before I could fix it the second lot was taken down. However I still have not received a 2nd Warning, so what's going on? Am I in trouble for the 2nd time? If so, where's the Warning? And if I am in trouble I shouldn't be because I got the first Warning late. I explained that in my Ticket so I'll leave it as is, I just hope TNT at least reads the Ticket before doing anything hasty. As I said, at most I think this would get me Silenced for a day.
... You know if it wasn't for this Event this wouldn't have happened...
Aria:
Okay, I hope you set some time aside. Here's the deal how this event would effect the economy:
Pros: Because very expensive r90-99 items (like Stamps) can be gotten by donating 5 toys of that rarity range this means the price for those items will decrease a bit since, well, more people will be selling them. This Event also gets rid of all those extra items that no one really wants and is taking up server space.
Cons: Many people with these very expensive r90-99 items are upset that now the price tag for their items have decreased. However there are those who are upset because they had spent millions getting these items and now they're being given away. Many players has spent hundreds of millions of NP to complete their stamp collections, and now some people are getting said stamps by donating 5 "cheap" toys. Then there's also the problem of said toy items and certain other items needed for "Adopt A Neopian" are driving the economy out of whack since resellers are artificially inflating their prices. These once 1 NP items are now selling for large amount of NP, and since these items can be used to get very expensive items it just adds onto the problem. Pretty much it feels like a "the rich are getting richer" type situation.
So yeah, that's the basics of it, it's a bit of a mess. TNT are trying to fix some things though some damage has already been done. However I have a feeling once this is all over it might be mostly forgotten and prices will eventually fall back to normal, similar to what happened for The Coincidence which went through a similar situation concerning item price inflation.
Maraquan Apple:
Looks like the Maraquan Apple is buyable again. True it's still a ripoff for an item that until today was 1 NP, but at least you can now complete today's "Adopt A Neopian". *sigh*
