The pencil case is buyable now. I...kinda had a feeling that this would happen. Since it'll become worthless very promptly at midnight, people who hoarded them will want to sell all their stock quickly before then, so the price should quickly fall as we approach midnight NST. (Of course, that didn't stop me from dropping 350k on one a while ago. *Cough*) It did? I was checking, but my shop wizard always came up with zero results =/ |

GRAH! STUPID COMPUTER! Well, guess I might be missing today! My computer crashed JUST as the clock turned (I've been having crash problems lately, stupid Windows 8.1) so I missed out getting all my items in the first 10 minutes. I got all the items except for, you guessed it, a Maraquan Apple. I hate to ask, but does anyone have one?  |

Yerp, the Maraquan Apple is today's pain in the rear. Hopefully you've been apple bobbing lately, especially since they've released the newer rewards for it. unfortunately my pets were getting Blurred Vision frequently enough that I stopped doing it after I got the avatar months ago
however, I don't feel bad spending 150k on an apple given the returns from selling the plooshies.
In general, though, the "buy real close to midnight when it's worthless again" trick would probably be the way to go, but it is risky.
but YOWZA A NEW UTILITY FISH WOOOOO
too bad I was like half an hour late so PPL is pointless to try for now <_<

Well, I managed to SW the pencil case before midnight, because there was surprisingly little lag, but there were still none, so they don't become that worthless that fast. I guess the approach of midnight could have made them even more valuable to people needing to complete the quest urgently, if TNT hadn't decreased the number of required quests. (This is probably the solution that will get the fewest complaints :'D)
I have a few extra Maraquan Grackle Bugs, Bedtime Stories and Faerie Tales for people who need them to complete the quest. (Mentioning here instead of neoboards because those seemed so full of resellers @_@)
At least it's not so bad that the apple is UB, with the lower quest requirement. It will be bad if that happens every day, though!

I wrote this Ticket to TNT about my Warning(s):
And as of right now I'm STILL waiting or the 2nd warning. I'm afraid I'm not getting it because it's waiting to be "viewed" (and if for some reason they decide I DID do something wrong they might Freeze my account! However I'm hoping if this is the case whoever reads it will be just as confused as I am why I'm being warned). Being this is my first "bad language" offense I'm hoping at most they just temporarily silence me. I don't want to lose my account because of this event. TT_TT

TT_TT It sounds like you were warned because you listed items on the Trading Post that you weren't intending to sell. "Safekeeping" implied the items were put there for storage, which explains the warning for it. I tried to find an Editorial where they've addressed this, but I couldn't find one. |

Here's the problem, "reserved" implies you are saving it to trade with a particular person, while "safekeeping" makes it blatant you are putting it on the trading post with no intent to sell it. I have to agree with Macteazle, Pikachu was probably warned for putting something in the trading post they didn't intend to sell; that's what the safety deposit box is supposed to be for. There's a warning on the create a new trades page that says And a quick google search shows that this isn't an isolated incident; other people have gotten warned for putting items in the trading post for safekeeping or to show them off before. So yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what the warning was for. |

I donated some NC items with the wrapping paper thingy from the NC Mall. People are saying this is going to even out the economy a little bit... which I think is a good thing? But I know some people are getting really hairy about it. It's only until the 31st so surely it wouldn't have too much effect in the long run? I don't know, I'm speaking as a newbie here.  It's a complicated issue. Honestly I have no idea what the end result of this is going to be. I can do into the pros and cons of the implications of this if you want, though note it would be pure speculation on my part and what I've read others are saying. I do plan on giving my full opinion of this event when its over as well. I am always happy to hear what you think! I think this is where I just don't understand the ins and outs of the site so much as others.  EDIT: I have just read the rest of the thread: I hope everything gets sorted and your account is safe! |
