Hate to be Negative Nancy, but is it really best to have these collabs so frequently and with so little time between each other? I mean, if you're planning on Issue 660, that's only six weeks after the Hero's Day collab. Not to mention that I'm pretty certain there are a few potentially special issues between then and now that people might want to focus on. (Too lazy to actually check right this second)

I mean, I'm not saying that I think you ought to cancel it altogether, especially if a lot of people are on board with it. I'm just saying that you might want to consider spacing these collabs out a little more. I think about twelve to thirteen weeks in between collabs would be far better. Dunno what the situation is on series for Hero's Day, but that would give any people with particularly long series plenty of time to conclude those stories before worrying about the next one.

I'm actually going to have to agree with Blueysicle. For one, I definitely do not want either the JCW or the NTWF to be viewed as arrogant by other people with our unofficial themes coming out constantly. Second, writers will probably be burnt out from writing the Hero Day publication and may not want to work on another mass collaboration for a little bit as six weeks does seem short. Last, I'd rather have a good quality publication that a sloppy/hastily created one. If you take a look at our previous April Fools Pranks threads here, you can see that most of them took a good couple of months for planning, again tying in with my last point.

Another point I'd like to add is that I think we ought to cut Droplet a little bit of slack too. Issue 650 just concluded a couple weeks ago and we got a collab coming up in two weeks. I imagine that putting the NT together all by herself is a huge amount of work, so I think she deserves to have at least a month or two to take it (relatively) easy for a bit.

Maybe some time in November was my first thought. That way we can avoid October all together (since there will be a lot of Halloween and seasonally themed submitters that time of year). September would probably be too early, as you mentioned before.

You have Neopet's Birthday and Thanksgiving in November, but I don't believe those typically get a whole lot of traffic. If you want to play it safe anyways, there's the week between the aforementioned dates, which is Issue 672, I believe?

We did do the Nox Day Collab in October, I believe, so I don't think that month would be totally off-limits. It's December I'd be more iffy about, since -aside from milestones issues- Christmas seems to get the most submissions. (I think)

That's what I was thinking. Neopet's Birthday and Thanksgiving will probably get some submitters (and it would be best to avoid a date where our enthusiasm competes with their seasonal entries), so I agree on going for a safer week.

Thanksgiving in 2015 is on Thursday, the 26th of November. Would that mean the Thanksgiving issue would be the day after or a week before? If it's the latter, I think Neopet's birthday is the week of the 14th. To avoid both of those, if the Thanksgiving issue is published on the 20th, maybe the 7th would work?

And if this timing sounds better, I can neomail Droplet and see what she says about the timing.

As for October? Either month is fine with me. It's really more so up to you guys and your availability for those months as well as Droplet's final say.

As I said I'd definitely be on board for participating, since my big series uses Brightvale as a prominent location. But I do agree with Lupehunter and Blueysicle that we should probably wait until at least a few months have passed before we do another big collab.

Probably November would be the best bet, and if not the next January, I suppose? I do agree that December would not be ideal with the Christmas issue, and I kinda question doing it in October. Nox still fits the theme of Halloween, but Brightvale University is entirely unrelated. And as has already been mentioned, a lot of people will be preoccupied with Halloween submissions.

Mid September? That would give people a little breathing room and make it somewhat fun because that's right around the time school starts for many people, both college and grade/middle/high school.

I don't think there has been a Thankgiving issue in the Neopian Times (at least, not officially), but correct me if I'm wrong, so November's definitely fine. October's not a bad month either as it's been roughly a month since the new university semester started, but still a long way before the end of the semester and it's usually by this time that people have settled in.

I like enthusiasm. Enthusiasm is good. As long as entries are labeled, timing shouldn't be a problem.

We don't have a Thanksgiving issue, though the NT is sometimes cancelled that week, depending on scheduling.
