Duke Pikachu- You could ever ask folks who worked for the university what their opinions of it are (like the cooks, cleaning people, gardeners, etc). Are you going for a mixed view approach (of some who are really cynical post college grads and others who give the university a shining review?) Well Hugo does teach at the University so there's that, but I'm going to mainly stick with alumni (want to stick to established characters). As for how each will review it, I'll decide that as I do the characters. However I do have a running gag through all of them about how large their student loan is due to going to Brightvale University. Sure, sounds cool. And... *laughs* Well, a lot of us can certainly relate to that (35k for me). So long as it's not too political, I'm sure that would be fine.

Nothing political, just a quick mention at the end (most commenting that its very high), here's two examples from ones I've done already: Tobias Sigmir: "Oh, and be prepared to have an exorbitant student loan.” Professor Hugo Fairweather: "Of course discovering a long lost island doesn’t pay off those student loans, I’m almost convinced I’m hypothetically tied to this place until I pay it off. *chuckles*” And in case some of you were wondering, yes, I have a student loan too... *sigh*

@justin- Okay. Just let me know which you decide on doing and I'll add it. Also, I like your current avatar. Was it a custom image? I'm going to be writing my own short story. Also, it was not a custom image; I just found it on JN's image database.

When I "visit" and people ask "why are you here?" I respond that my soul is tied to Fairleigh Dickinson University until I pay off their loans. :X

I'm probably going to go with my idea of the Mystery Island Training School as a themed high school, where everybody studies martial arts regardless of whether they're actually going to be warriors. (This is based on a documentary I watched, about a themed high school that had fine arts as its theme. It was set up in a poor neighborhood.) One of the students dreams of one day graduating from high school and going to Brightvale University. Just a vague idea at the moment; I'll need to work on character and plot next.

I really don't know about doing my Petpet Park crossover series, especially now that Petpet Park might be closing. I'd hate to pour my heart into this series if that were the case.

I've decided: I'll be doing an article after all But I've got a question (actually, lots but I'll be asking them throughout my write up). I'm planning to make it something like "an advice(s) for final year students before they finish their course". My question: is it possible if I "interview" the users themselves and come up with something from there? Is it even allowed?

Like, going on the boards and asking? Because I'm fairly certain that's perfectly fine for the NT.

Yeah Bianca, I do mean that If that's alright for NT... then comes the other question: how do I "quote" them? Do I name them by "username" or can they identify themselves (if they want to) with a pseudonym? And I was having the idea of interview them as "neopets"... will it be feasible to do that? For example: "Amaya, a red Lenny from Neovia is of the opinion that..."

Amaya I'm sure you can do whichever way you want for the story. But if you give them psuedonyms, then maybe put an author's note at the end with the usernames, like "Thanks so much to username1726, starzzzzzz9373292738282, and imnotwittyhelpme for the interviews!" I'm sure they'd appreciate the credit (I would just tell them so they understand what you're planning on doing).

Another thing to keep in mind is to try to be as accurate as possible with your wording when doing a journalistic-sounding article. If you look at real news articles, journalists never write: "[name] is of the opinion that..." Rather, they usually write: "'[quotation],' [name] said." Or: "[paraphrase], [name] said." See the difference?

I could probably put together an article or short story.
Edit: I am thinking of writing an article. The topic is "Dealing with your pet going to university."
