So what if it all sounds basically the same? Baroque music is fun!

I've spent a lot of time with RL friends in the past few days and it's so great. I love these girls and I'm glad we've stuck together for literally our whole lives. (seriously, our parents were friends in YOUTH GROUP. when they were teenagers. dang.)

I have a story character. He has a name that I pulled out of thin air. I thought people with that name did not exist.
I was wrong. There is an athlete turned politician who has my character's name as his surname. I was not aware of this until today. Reading his Wikipedia article almost sent me into hysterics because they refer to him by surname and I just kept going "no he didn't".
It's the little things that make me happy.

I finished editing my short story! And it's my longest yet--3,865 words! I think I'll show it to one or two more people, then submit it Saturday. Feels so good.

What a difference a year (and God) makes.
Today marks one year since my hip replacement surgery... Something I never thought I'd have to do before I turned 30, but I'm so glad I had it when I did. I'm doing GREAT, with only minor twinges of pain on occasion. I'm walking better than I have in years, and I've even signed up for an untimed 5K in April, the Color Run. I've been wanting to do a 5K for years now, but never quite had the motivation to actually get out and get moving so I could do it, until now.
I am so thankful for all God has brought me through in my life, and that He has been faithful this past year. I attribute my recovery with NO setbacks to Him, and I'm so grateful.
I Peter 5:7.

I'm feeling better. Honestly, this cold wasn't that bad; not compared to my other ones, at least. (I still have symptoms, but they're more tolerable now.)
Plus, I managed to get stuff done.
And the best part is that I'm well enough to go to that fun thing tomorrow. =D

That odd but pleasing moment when you're in a Starbucks and a completely unfamiliar song comes up but you feel content and compelled enough to improvise and hum harmonies...
It's a good feeling. ^^
