Oh, that makes sense. You kind of said in your character recap they were, so I got a little confused. I believe there was a ninja or two there, and a mercenary who had two posts worth of action. Also the army's two captives, Dragus and Ellen, and Krisseh who was brainwashed. ...I did? *upscroll* Bugger, I meant Castle Kestrel up there. For some reason it's easy to mix those two up >> And it's par the usual course of these things for people to drop off at random with no word in-story, making for the occasional awkward unanswered question and the character just sort of standing around forever. That's why a big challenge of RPs is not tying yourself to other people while still interacting with them. *has a sizable NPC army to counteract that problem*

I like to imagine that those characters really ARE just standing around. Like in a MMO where someone goes AFK and their character just stands there doing nothing. So everyone is just doing their things, then suddenly someone just stops completely. Then everyone either waits for them or go about their job ignoring them XD
-- As for characters close to the army. The only other ones I can think of are the ninja army sneaking behind them keeping watch. I think I have a idea what to do with them now. I'll see about throwing up a post, even if it's small, in a little while.

Hunty: *Says something about reading through an old Warm Fuzzy thread*
Fraze: ...I thought you said "Guild War fuzzy thread" at first.
Hunty: No, but that would be awesome.
Fraze: It would!
Hunty: "So I know you're a bloody dirty ninja and I'm supposed to hate you, but your butt looks really hot in those pajamas...*innocent blinks*"

Since it's been brought up in the summary. It is a VERY good question about the King.
Taken from The Knights Castle thread.
He's a NPC, so anyone can really control him, but I always feel awkward when it comes to thinking what to do for him XD (not to mention I keep forgetting his name >.> Great knight I am).
The question of where he is and all the other knights is something I've been asking since the start XD Being the only active knight when the castle is being taken over (is taken over) sort of stinks XD
At the moment, the only thing I can really think of is that he left on some kingly diplomatic duty that only he could do, thus leaving his castle to someone else for the time being... But that seems wrong, especially if there really were no one left but Dragus XD
We need more knights guys! Our home was taken because you guys all went on vacation! XD
(also didn't want to RP a army of Knights and a army of Ninjas >.> (Next thing you know, I'll have a army of Steampunks from Brassport)

The summary's colors are a pretty good overview of who's actually in the story. It's pretty mage-heavy, is just as heavily lacking in mercenaries (but we the pirates are valiantly taking over those shini- uh, duties) and the only green streak is poor ol' Dragus (who I understand is a secondary character). If I'd thought to do a color summary from the start, maybe I would've pushed the takeover politics to make use of the obvious power vacuum. When the story is happening, as it were, it's not really all that obvious what the balance is like.
If we were more confrontational as roleplayers, this could in theory be a common occurrence in the guilds: a guild starts out strong, people dwindle off, another guild smells the chance and takes over their turf. Which would (in theory) solve both the problem of a dead guild being carried on the others' shoulders and us never managing to get a conflict going >.>

However Dragus' home is gone without a fight or chance XD Which is pretty sad, since out of all the guilds Mages and Knights have the most at stake and should be the two main guilds in this one really. I'm pretty much alone in 3 guilds. When it comes to the Brassport Steampunks, Gil is pretty much alone until someone randomly decides to pop in and make a post then disappear again >.>

Dear Proboards, When new posts are made to a topic I'm part of, I want to know. I don't care if it's been nine minutes, days, or even years. Chances are, if it's come back from the dead, there's a reason for it. Kthx. Love, Tiger. >_> Uhm, yeah, posting to get updates on this thread again and to try and help out, if I can. For instance, I should probably confer with Lord Hayati and ♥ Azzie and pixie and see if we can pick a place to dock our boat and then dock it so we can be more helpful. We have been on this dang river for forever.

Chances are, if it's come back from the dead, there's a reason for it. Kthx. Love, Tiger. Wouldn't it crop up in that Participated wigglybob up top there? Or does it just start ignoring you if you haven't posted here long enough (which in this thread's case is essentially everyone )? (and is there no way to disable emoticons into plain text now? I r not good admin.) Part of the reason I'm now doing the summary is so that I and everyone else could catch up on the roleplay the easy way (sure, it's only 21 pages, but it's 21 pages of stuff from which crucial info needs to be picked out if you want to jump back in proper). So once I get to the end of the summary, I'll see what I can do to stir things up again, even if it means sticking the Captain in the heat of things where she much prefers not to be. The Pirates would actually be kind of the perfect guild for stirring up trouble in all others, except that we're the only guild without a flock of NPCs with unknown size. In-story, it'd be kinda stupid to try and take over the castle that's ostensibly full of knights... except we've just seen that it can be done without any pesky knights getting in your way. Ahoy, Zylaa, are you still alive perchance?

Ahoy, Zylaa, are you still alive perchance? Yeah, it stops alerting you after a certain amount of time has passed. Or maybe there's a limit to the number of threads it'll notify you of and the older ones just slide off the list, I'm not sure. Either way, kinda annoying =P There is a thing that says "Smilies Default" near the bottom of "Settings" when you edit your profile, but mine says they're disabled and yet I see emoticons all the time o.0 *thumbs up* Sounds good!

I don't have it set to notify me when posts are made in threads I'm in XD It would get annoying I think. It does notify me when I'm tagged.
---
And yeah, those lazy knights, all going on a vacation. Much like the police in the Mafia games, always disappearing right before murders begin XD

I'm sure we pirates can find other ways to stir up trouble. I mean, one of the appeals of being a pirate is never actually wanting to conquer anyone, just to ransack and plunder. I'm sure the other guilds would oppose this. Or the nicked objects themselves would object, as things have a tendency to be magical around here.

You can find the option in the 'Actions' drop down menu at the top of every thread. Then you get a notification every time there's new posts, and you can also see all your bookmarked threads in one place. (Just click the icon in the menu bar) As far as I know, bookmarks never expire. ^^ To be honest, I always forget that the 'Participated' feature exists, but I'm in love with bookmarks. XD

XD Yeah, I've started bookmarking somewhat slower threads so I can keep track of them now. I just preferred to put bookmarks on threads like Mafia or the Guild Wars RP so that if I was checking the forum quickly, I would know if there was an important post I needed to read right away or not. Proboards thwarts my attempts at organization! XD

I'm sure the other guilds would oppose this. Or the nicked objects themselves would object, as things have a tendency to be magical around here. We're too reasonable, is our problem. Any pirate with two brain cells within eyesight of one another would set sail and hunker down at a convenient tropical island the very minute the word "zombie" (or "magical gem" or "Underdeep" or "mysterious anything" really) enters the picture. But then we'd all be posting stuff like "Day 4: Managed to crack the coconut". Of course, right now we're siding with what's pretty clearly the winning side. This would be a good time to attempt to take some other guild down a notch. To be honest, I always forget that the 'Participated' feature exists, but I'm in love with bookmarks. XD I'm the other way around: I barely know bookmarks exist but I only ever check Participated xD Which kinda screws me over activity-wise because I've taken to never checking the rest of the forum. granted, it wouldn't be a problem for the guilds because I check them anyway when I'm interested, I just kinda fell off the interest wagon in the past year-or-so >__>
