At least we know that the Switch's successor will be compatible with the Switch games (at least for physical copies, not entirely sure about the digital version) Source |

I think one can make a reasonable assumption about digital copies if it's the same online eShop. Doubt Nintendo will spend time to build two eShops when all they need is one and then use hardware detection to determine if the device can play Switch 2 games.
But assumptions are not truth yet. So don't quote me on that.
