I don't really know you two, but a big congrats anyway!!
My brother and sister-in-law had a 4 month engagement before the wedding. I don't even know how they got everything planned in time!

Question: Do the two of you intend to have some wishlist or other? I mean, while flying out to Estonia and gatecrash your wedding party (read: take you up on your invitation) might be impractical for many of us, it would not deter us from wanting to send you a gift or something for the occassion...

Question: Do the two of you intend to have some wishlist or other? I mean, while flying out to Estonia and gatecrash your wedding party (read: take you up on your invitation) might be impractical for many of us, it would not deter us from wanting to send you a gift or something for the occassion... We-ell, the thing with having lived together for a while before marrying (nearly three years, wut) is that we've amassed pretty much all day-to-day stuff in the course of day-to-day life. The things that we could specifically ask for at this point are generally the big expensive things (might need to get a new vacuum cleaner soon because the current one is essentially a cheap placeholder, boring adultstuff like that.) So there's no wishlist for the wedding per se, but if anyone wants to send us anything, of course it'll be appreciated

Okay, let's be realistic for a moment. Since we tied the knot, there's very few reasons left to still update this thread, other than with news that're possibly even bigger than getting married.
As such, there are probably a bunch of you who saw that this thread had updated and had a moment of "wayhey, new post, it's not their anniversary yet, is it, ARE THEY HAVING BABIES?"
In which case pat yourself on the back because yes, yes we are. (Quoth my bro: that didn't take very long, did it?)
Specifically, since I'm some degree of paranoid and also didn't want to yank people around with the news in case the wiggly little shrimp-thing decides to self-destruct as they're prone to do in the first trimester, we held on to the news until we could consider the self-destruct reasonably defused. At this point I'm done with 12 weeks, the wiggly little shrimp-thingy is still going strong and has a solid heartbeat and perfectly functional limbs based on the wiggling and flailing it was doing during this week's ultrasound and no, we have absolutely no idea what we're getting ourselves into.
Also, it's due on our wedding anniversary, because you do not argue with the stork mafia.

Considering all the storks that were stalking you guys during the wedding, that's not surprising at all. But hooray, congratulations!! I am so happy for you both! =D
EDIT: And so is my mum, she sends her congrats. On a related note, since I might as well ask now, would you guys be interested in hand-me-down baby clothes courtesy of Dormouse?

What a nice coincidence, having your child being born on your wedding anniversary. Also, yeah, that was fast, but congrats.

Happy to take anything thrown our way =D Babies grow out of clothes pretty much immediately so the less we can contribute to rampant consumerism, the better. We haven't really been getting any babystuff as of yet, partly because of the still-lingering paranoia and partly because I'm shot up to the eyeballs with hormones and if I let them loose for half a minute, we run the risk of buying all the cuddly plushies. (srsly, can't let people find out how happy-sappy-weepy I've suddenly become as of recent, or I'll have to start shooting witnesses >>)

We have a fat stack of stuff that Dormouse no longer wears that are just sitting around so I'd be happy to send them out to a good home. I'll start with her newborn clothes first (probably after Christmas, to let the lingering paranoia for you guys settle and so I can enlist my mum's help), especially since they are fairly gender-neutral, and send more as time goes on so hopefully by the time the little one is born, you'll have a nice supply. ^^

(If the baby is born right on the due date, that'll make for awkward anniversary parties later.) Hope everything goes well with the pregnancy. ^^
