In my day, we could not fight at all. Weapons did not exist, and we couldn't even use our hands or feet since they were made of the softest pillows ever.

In my day, we didn't have those real soft pillows. We slept on dirt floors and hoped that there would be enough red ants crawling around down there to make a fairly soft spot to lay your head. Better yet, stuffing a burlap sack full of dead ones.

Pffft, when I was your age, we didn't even have ants. If we wanted to sleep with a homemade pillow we just stuffed it out of dirt and hoped that we wouldn't ingest any of it in our sleep.

At least you had pillows. Back in my day, we didn't have any pillows. We just propped ourselves against the wall while sleeping on the floor and slept that way and we liked it!

Oh, how convenient it is to have walls! In my day, our walls were too hard to sleep on and like, but we did it any way because we didn't complain!~

That`s nothing. In my day, they hadn`t invented hard walls yet, so houses got blown down all over by any darn wolf that was alive and breathing. Just by its breathing.

That's nothing, we didn't even have a house. We were lucky if we could get a tree to rest under. Yep, those were hard times.

Man, at least you have trees. Back in my day, we didn't have trees. We all relied on algae and small plants in order to survive.

Oh, that's nothing. In my day, there weren't even plants! It was all single-celled organisms everywhere you went.

In my day, we didn't even have cells! It was just cytoplasm and organelles rushing everywhere! We were all just one liquid blob spreading over the entire Earth!
(...That sounds like some sort of disturbing borg/grey-goo hybrid to me. I regret having written that)

At least you had liquid. In my day, we all lived in a dry desert. There was no such thing as water.

At least you had a desert, or any land whatsoever. In my day, there was no ground, or land, or anything we could put our feet on! Nothing but empty space everywhere you went.

Space? Back in my day, we would have killed for even some elbow room! And some of us actually did, since it was so crowded! and that many people is never good for hygiene, so some of them died anyways!

Well, at least you had people! Back in the day, there were no people, and all there was was strange shapes in the sky!

At least you had shapes. Back in my day, everything was a singular amorphous, neverending mass.
