... so behind, but it's actually kind of funny because I've been so productive creativity-wise lately it's just that said productivity isn't manifesting in my NaNo. So there's this weird clash in my head where I am frustrated about being so behind, yet at the same time I feel really satisfied because this is the most I've done since I can't remember when. Um. Yeah. Stuff's weird.

I'm getting kind of behind even though I met quota yesterday.
I left my NaNo-computer at home, but I don't care, I don't care. I can write on 750 words, I can meet tomorrow's quota today if I'm fast enough.
...I don't like the way I write.
EDIT: OH and if anyone is posting excerpts and stuff I'm running out of stuff in the NTWF queue and I've been grabbing stuff where I can, please poke me if you see this and have one. <_<

When you're sitting there writing a scene and some part of you is like "hrrg this sucks I should rewrite it" and the other part of you is all "NO this scene took too many words to go back and rewrite, just keep going"
yup
/you know it's NaNo when

I'm feeling so blaaaaaah about writing right now. Nothing is happening, and I've run out of things for my characters to say to each other... Must keep writing...

Hmm... use weekend at home to catch up with NaNo, or watch Pixar and Marvel movies with family all night?
Yes let's watch Pixar and Marvel movies all night!
*starts the previous day's writing at two in the morning* ...this had better have been good for inspiration or something.

I decided I didn't like how my novel was starting off, so I rewrote the beginning. It was only about 500 words, so no great loss. I'm willing to be nitpicky in the beginning because I find that I have more motivation if I get off to a good start.
So I'm at about a quarter of the actual quota, and I'm patting myself on the back because I hadn't even started at this time last year. Granted it's only a two-day difference, but still, I'm not too worried. In past experience, I've always been behind for most of November, and then caught up during the last week. (I'm hoping to catch up a bit earlier than that this year, though.)

I'm so far behind, you guys. I've only got 2k right now, and 1k of that I cranked out today at a write-in! In order to catch up, I'm going to try to get to 4k for the next two days.
Gaaaah.

I'm not behind or anything, but I wasn't feeling Particularly Enthusiastic about NaNo, and my favourite part - the hours and hours of just sitting at the computer and writing and writing until your fingers ache and your stomach rumbles and you think just another ten minutes, this scene is going so well and then you finish the day with a feeling of faint surprise and a whole chunk of story done for you to beam at proudly - seemed unlikely to happen considering that lack of enthusiasm. And then. I read this here blog post. blog.patrickrothfuss.com/... Well. If anything can churn up my enthusiasm, it's that. =D Guys, we have some awesome people writing besides us this month. (And are, of course, all awesome people as well.) Let's all be crazy together, hm? Let's write! Some! Words! <3

I came here to post something. I know I had some witty comment to make. But it's lost.
And the Patrick Rothfuss blog is far more awesome than anything I could have put here. =D

I just wrote in the woman who has far too many children. I got more than 200 words just naming and vaguely describing each of them. I have no idea how I will turn that solid brick of text into something readable when it's editing time.
