I didn't start writing until 11 PM, due to lazy and TV and such. But in that hour I wrote from 3,028 words to 5,043. Eventually rounded off the night a few minutes later (though officially Day 3 by time zone) at 5,122. Fell short of my personal 2,500/day goal, though I still have over that in a daily average.
(I have a high daily goal because I won't do NaNo on the Sabbath, from Fri sunset to Sat sunset. Working 8-5 every day makes Fridays hard to write on)
Funny thing is, I think I'm still expanding the prologue. So much exposition and background to cover. In later edits I will probably sprinkle this into the text, but for NaNo? Yeah.
One of my friends is doing a daily video blog about NaNo, too. I got a reference in it about my word count goal. XD yay (I'd link to it, but it's mild PG-13 due to one or two censor words each video, including one f-bomb in the third video. Congrats, guys! =D I ended up about a hundred and fifty words short of today's quota before the day rolled over, but I'm only a little disappointed. I'm going to keep writing tonight anyway, so I only lose out in that my monthly graph won't be as beautiful as it could be. *insert single crystalline tear here*

Almost caught up with yesterday's recommended quota!  I am finally beginning to understand what NaNo is all about. I've never been able to do that thing where I can just write and write and not care about what I write and not look back and agonize and just write write write keep writing but suddenly it's like... I understand! And it is glorious! I think I am going to forgo writing things in order, though. Because I have no idea where I am going with this scene, but I know what'll happen after. And and yeah I am starting to have so much fun. *dances around* I am not going to sleep until I reach 5k. |

gah my parents need to stop kidnapping me for day-long errands, I feel so far behind
I mean it's only like one day behind, but that's still more behind than I usually am <_> *tries to write faster*

Got a full day's buffer yesterday, but didn't manage to make it up before midnight... Ah well. I'll get to 6666 and stop for tonight, I've got too much homework to do otherwise. XD

Been procrastinating on this horribly because of a school research paper that I've been horrendously blocked over. I hope to catch up on Saturday night/Sunday. I normally procrastinate during the first few days of NaNo and play catch-up for the rest of the month, but I really don't want to do the same thing as last year and let eight days go by before I start making progress.
In the meantime, I have roughly two hours to finish off this research paper, which I am desperately lacking source material for. <_<

7,654 words. Woot woot. Day 3 was a success. And since I won't be able to write tomorrow (very likely) due to timing of work and Sabbath and such, it's nice to have a buffer that can take me to Saturday night and still be ahead.

Three days into NaNo, and I'm only at 1,017. (The first two days were pretty much shot, since I had a midterm to worry about. Yesterday, I was too busy getting the house ready for my dad's arrival.)
I hope I'm closer to catching up by this time tomorrow! I'm way behind on my personal daily quota. I'm trying to write 2k a day for six days straight, with the idea that I can take a day off if I need/want to.
Oh! On a slightly different note, I'm going to my first write-in this Sunday. I'm excited! Haha, I'm such a NaNo newbie. XD
My optimism and excitement is going to wane later in the month, I'm sure.

Ugh, I am already so so behind. D: Curse you real life! I have a hard enough time reaching quota without much going on, let alone reaching quota after 8 hour days at work. :/ *doesn't even have 3k* D:
