I like the idea of Tyrannia, or time travel. Super-heroes would be pretty good as well; it's something distinctive enough for the theme to be noticed, which makes things ten times more fun ;P
I'm also kinda ambivalent on the month. We're planning this so far in advance that it shouldn't be a big deal to write something a month or two early if you know you're going to be busy the month of the collab =P

I just received Droplet's neomail, my six part super hero comic got in! :3 To be honest I was hoping it to get published with the Grand Collab, but I think it won't be held on too long...but that's what sequels are for! 8gets sketch book*

I'm switching my vote from time travel to superheroes. There's a story (titles Superhero Society) that I've been considering for a while now, which is actually mostly about insurance.

I'll put a poll on this thread about the time and the theme in a while, so you don't have to decide just yet. =3

LOL, I'd be out if we did superheroes, because I just finished my Team Squad Force comic, and I don't care to do another superhero concept so soon. (And I'm hoping TSF played no part in the reason for suggesting superheroes in the first place... X3)

How would you TSFers feel about spies/secret agents? Seems to me like we should probably split that option apart from the superheroes theme when we vote; it's pretty distinct. :3 Could be fun, too.

I'd be fine with spies. All my stories so far seem to be about them.

I'd love to be part of the collab. I could definitely write something over the span of the next month or two. (:
I'm all for the time-travel idea; it seems like it'd be very versatile. Comics, articles, short stories, even series (if people want to go to that length) could be based around time travel in Neopia. They could be comedic, but they wouldn't necessarily have to be.
I also kinda like the spy/secret agent idea. Not as much as time travel, but it's a close second for me. ^_^
As for what month the collab should take place, I feel that November wouldn't really be good for those doing NaNo. I realize that if the collab was to take place in November, that would mean writing before November, but in the time leading up to November, those doing NaNo will probably be plotting (my term for creating plot outlines and such) and planning. Which would mean planning and plotting for Nano with the collab on top, which seems like it could be a lot of work.
Also, congrats Dju on your comic series getting in! ^_^

I'm in a dilema right now! heroes...or time travel? Heroes are soooo cool...but time travel is soooo amazing!

This seems interesting, but given my short attention span, I will probably forget about it xDD But, I will give it a try! =D

Sounds like a great idea! And if I manage to write something in time I'll definitely participate....
Speaking of time, if we are trying for second half of September, early October, it would be great if we set up the poll for the themes to be decided, soon. After all, we have to calculate submission time frame as well, so it wouldn't leave us with that many weeks from now. And I definitely prefer September/October, as a January entry would most likely be written in December, which is packed with Christmas-Secret-Santa-writing and regular writing which piled up over NaNo for me.
Favourite topic: Time-travel. (My muse is acutally toying with the idea as I'm typing this, and I reckon that even if a different theme is chosen, we might end up with a nice article to submit anyway.)
I also like the idea of the cameo of a character in all entries to make the link more recognizable. Like Manfred the Magenta Meepit.

I dunno, time travel seems a bit too spacey-wacy for me. XP I'm having a hard time picturing a TAR comic with that.

You don't have to time travel per se in the work. You can even simply have a group of Tyrannian Neopets drinking a cup of Stone-age-Borovan and discussing the impossibility of Time-travelling. (While of course one of them is a secret time-traveller)

And (excellent way to start a post ) I also like September/October/November, since I am not doing NaNo

Well even if we did September, if we can finish the poll by about the 15th it'd give two or three weeks for even the earliest entries in the month. I think I'll make the poll on the 10th, or thereabouts, since then we'll have been collecting ideas for around a week. so far the thread's only been up for a couple days.
