It's kind of fun going to the store and having little girls look at you with surprise when you talk about My Little Pony, lol.

And Netflix put up the second part of the season, so I can comment on the other episodes. First few were entertaining. I don't have too much to say on those. Except that the very few were very Rarity-centric. Not complaining though; I like Rarity, and she's been neglected in other episodes.
Made in Manhatten, the only comment on that was that I found it funny how the episode was all about tying the community together through small acts... As they miss their own community event that ties people together. xD
Brotherhooves Social... I'm split on how to feel about it. Without going into the whole reason why, I will mention that there are parts of the episode I liked. What did confuse me is why Big Mac felt he had to go as a girl when it was explicitly stated earlier that the Sisterhooves Social had a loose definition of "sister". The team wasn't even disqualified for that when Big Mac's outfit fell apart, so... I will find it interesting how Big Mac says more when going as Orchard Blossom than normally. xD Also, yeah, I really felt for Big Mac this episode.
Crusaders of the Lost Mark... Dang, that's quite a change in that part of the MLP storyline. xD It's nice to see that turnaround for Diamond Tiara, and it's interesting to hear more about her; makes her less shallow, even if she's no longer really a bully. And I felt bad for her when it was revealed what her mother was like; easy to see where it stemmed from, and I feel like it explains a lot. (Of course, it does make me headscratch when I flashback to that one episode where Babs threatened her and Silver Spoon with "telling your mothers about your bad attitudes"... Seems like that wouldn't do much, Spoiled Rich is just as bad. xD ) I diiiid think Diamond Tiara's turnaound came around a bit quickly, and a lot of good and improvement finally coming to her all in the course of one episode, but I like how it was done anyway. Anyway CMC, nice cutie marks, but there were times in earlier episodes where I feel you should've earned them. =P Overall, I liked the episode.
The One Where Pinkie Pie Knows, I only have one thing to say... Pinkie, what about that episode where you were not only all about keeping others' secrets, but super good at it??
What About Discord? ...I'll be honest, I didn't like that episode that much. I know Discord was rubbing it in, but Twilight's friends rubbing it in felt a little too mean-spirited. I feel like they should've caught on to how that was affecting Twilight much earlier.
Hearthbreakers and Hooffields and McColts were episodes where I kept yelling the solutions or possible workarounds at the screen. ...Actually, that's a trend for me all throughout the season; me yelling the solutions or "no, this is how you should've handled that" or "no, you need to mention this thing too or you're not gonna convince them". The amount of times that kept happening bothered me, actually. Occasional is one thing, but it happened a lot. xD Anyway, more specifically for the latter episode, I know Twilight's all about organization, but she seemed to be touting her title a little too much for my tastes.
Not much to say about Mane Attraction, but I did like it.
The Cutie Re-Mark... Well, there was a lot to it, but that's not saying much. xD I did enjoy seeing what would happen if the villains succeeded. Actually, I'll admit that some of the worlds in these alternate universes struck me as a bit more interesting than the normal timeline. (My first reaction was "Finally! A chance to really see Sombra in action!". ...And then the timeline changed again. xD ) I didn't really buy how all the little things made different villains succeed; I'd think approximately the same thing would happen each time. But hey, it was an excuse to see the villains succeeding, and I'm all for that.
My question is... Twilight was affected by the Sonic Rainboom too, even showed her failing the exam as a result of the boom not happening, and yet she didn't change. Does she have timeline immunity? Did she just not run into the other Twilight? If the latter is true, it might've been interesting to see that alternate Twilight somewhere. (Also, Twilight, when you're in a timeline where your friends clearly haven't met you before, stop with the remarks of "my best friend!", you'll just confuse them. xD )
Anyway, dang is Starlight Glimmer super powerful. She messed with a Starswirl the Bearded Spell, altered time, could go toe-to-toe with an alicorn while making her own flight spells... Practically alicorn-level power herself. xD Anyway, I figured her motivations would go to a childhood thing because it seemed the route MLP would go, but I could see that, since it affected the rest of her life so drastically. (Though, she never kept in touch with her childhood friend? Said childhood friend didn't have to prepare to leave, giving them one last chance to talk? ...Then again, they were fillies, so maybe they were bad about that.) I do think another line of logic could be used to more convincingly show her change of heart when Twilight was convincing her. (Although why she didn't stop when she saw the wasteland future, I don't know, that timeline definitely didn't benefit anyone.) But well, time will tell if she actually becomes close to the Mane 6 or if she'll just cameo on the occasional episode. xD
But overall, a good finale, I think. It definitely kept my attention.

Oh good Gelquie, I was about to post something like "Hey, the season kind of ended, did anybody notice maybe? :'D" I totally get you on wanting to yell the obvious solutions to the characters. You'd think they'd know better after all this time.
I did love Rarity and Sassy Saddles and the whole new boutique thing. Those Rarity-centric episodes -and some others- seemed a bit slow-paced, but that leaves time and room to enjoy a bit of slice of Equestrian life. I even liked the songs in Canterlot Boutique, because Rarity singing by herself is so much more natural than an actual musical number. And Rarity.
I think my favourite was Rarity Investigates. It had everything I love about Rarity. I've actually watched it again a few more times.
Made in Manehattan: what I liked about that one was seeing the progression of Rarity and AJ's relationship, in comparison with previous episodes. And it's good to see Coco Pommel again and see what she's up to, for continuity.
Crusaders of the Lost Mark: okay, momentous, historical episode and all, made some sense, pretty cool, but WHY SO MUCH SINGING >.< That, and the incredible speed of DT's heel face turn, spoiled it for me. (Is it me or does it seem like the CMC might get their own spin-off?)
The One Where Pinkie Pie Knows: hm, not the best they've done in terms of structure or in terms of continuity for Pinkie's character. What I really appreciated in that episode was how Shining Armor immediately figured out that she was keeping the secret, and Cadance also thanked her. This is the kind of minor character trait that might have been overlooked in other shows.
Hearthbreakers: PIE FAMILY PIE FAMILY PIE FAMILY C= Not bad, not bad. Quite inspiring. Felt a bit repetitive at times but the new characters more than made up for that.
Scare Master: a bit slow at first but I really enjoyed that one. Yay for seeing what they all do on a regular Nightmare Night. Fluttershy's progress may be slow but it's there. I like how she tried to introduce the rest of the group to her kind of fright. Flutterbat reference is appreciated.
The Mane Attraction: (if this was a Simpsons episode, it would be that episode for which they manage to get a huge guest star, and the whole episode is written to revolve around them.) It was quite sweet overall, though.
Cutie Re-mark: I don't know if the whole time-travelling setup made sense. Epic magic battling, though! *w* Nice and fast-paced. It's good to see Tenacious Twilight in mature princess mode. I looove twisted history AUs. (Wonder how much fanfiction will come out of this.) Any Nightmare Moon appearance automatically earns an episode 1000 Liou points. Heee. What stage presence. Every time Tabitha St. Germain voices Nightmare Moon sounds even better than the last. Starlight's redemption at the end seemed... still kind of fast, but less contrived than others. I appreciate how Twilight admitted that Starlight is remarkably powerful for a unicorn. (Because if you don't lampshade it, it looks like you just came up with an OP'd antagonist for convenience.)

Yeah, I was wondering why no one had commented on it, Liou. xD Yeah, I loved all the Rarity-centric episodes. And I definitely agree with you on the slower paced episodes allowing for more of a taste of their life. And yesss, I loved Rarity's solo songs. She's a wonderful singer and we needed more of those. And yes, I loved Rarity Investigates. It was a good chance to give her intelligence some spotlight and nod to her particularly good eye for detail.
And yeees, I loved the dynamic between Rarity and AJ in that episode. They're really good foils for each other, and they've come far since the sleepover episode.
For Crusaders of the Lost Mark, I agree DT's turnaround was a little too fast. But I actually didn't mind the songs. I liked all the songs and can only approve of more songs. xD (It doesn't feel like it to me; it seems the MLP series struggles with filler episodes as is, so I think they still need them just in this show.)
Yeah, I loved the characters and dynamic in Hearthbreakers too. Even if it was another episode where I kept shouting the solution at them, but at least we got to see the Pinkie Pie family as a whole.
I basically agree with everything you said about Scare Master. I appreciate her trying. (And I can definitely see where she was coming from with the spooky tea party; those are scary things to happen and you can't tell me otherwise! And A for Flutterbat reference. ^^
Cute Re-mark replies to remarks: Yeah, dunno about the time traveling thing either; it seemed skimmed over to get to the plot point and also to avoid thinking about it too much. Oh well; worth it. And yes, this is major fanfic fuel. And I loved Nightmare Moon's appearance. She's definitely fitting as a ruler; she really commands a presence and... honestly seemed pretty reasonable, relatively. Not tooootally, she's still in control and ruthless, but I could get behind every bit of her logic. (I dunno if the lampshading is enough to counteract the fact of the OP antagonist, but I'm curious what they do with it if they continue Starlight Glimmer's arc.)

Finally saw the finale! The fanfic fuel is over 9000. If bronies haven't already started the AU future bandwagon, I'd be surprised. XD
Also, if bronies haven't remixed any of those songs, I'd be surprised too. Coloratura's songs were epic.

Hey all! On my Toys R' Us trip tonight, I decided to finally pick up one of the MLP Mystery Mini Funko figurines, and LOOK WHAT I GOT. I was thrilled to have actually gotten Cadence since my love for her knows no bounds, but I'm also dying over it at the same time. Like, I suppose the black coat thing going on is a special edition collectible or whatever, but it totally makes her look like someone's emo DeviantArt pony OC. Check it out: I'm actually really satisfied with the overall quality-- unlike the blind bag ponies & smaller collectibles they've come out with lately, these feel more like an answer to those chibi anime figure mystery boxes you can get at cons (which I'm sure is the entire point), but what I mean is the details are very accurate and pretty, the figure has a nice weight to it, and it'll look really nice on my collection shelf once I get it set up! I'm definitely going to aim to collect more of these in the future. A+, 10 outta 10.

Except you have a chance to get the weird Black vinyl versions, compared to the larger versions having crystal versions. Personally I would like to get the small ones instead of the large ones. Easier to display. But I never liked blind bags/boxes of things very much XD I tend to get copies a lot.

IT'S ABOUT TO HAPPEN, EVERYONE. I'M ABOUT TO WRITE MY FIRST MLP FANFICTION.
I actually haven't written fanfic in years, but I need to get back into writing as a habit in general & figured this would be a comfortable place to start. I have a really good idea in mind that I won't go into too much detail about right now, but I need a name for Rainbow Dash's OC wife, hahaha. I may just head over to a pony name generator and see what I can rustle out.

Is anyone still watching this? Episode 18, Buckball Season. Nothing very new, but lots of fun overall, and a nice message. I think a lot of people could benefit from learning what AJ and RD accepted: that not everyone fares well under pressure, and some people do their best when they're encouraged gently instead of being pushed hard. And Pinkie and Fluttershy playing around were too cute so this episode automatically wins. What did we have before I don't even remember. 17, Dungeons and Discords. Another sidekick episode but eh, it's got Discord, and Spike is acting mature for once! 16, Times they are a Changeling. Nah, not my thing. I found it unsubtle and cheesy. Not enough Twilight or Glimglim. And the song 100% ruined it for me. Heey... I actually missed a few episodes, according to the list! This will not do.

I agree, Liou, The changeling song was not a good way to resolve that issue. By the end I was like, "and just like that you're going to trust him? Really?"
I mean... yeah. The changelings really caused a lot of ruckus in the kingdom before and their queen emotionally tortured Cadence, so they have kind of a good reason to be wary of changelings. Giving Thorax a chance is one thing, but having a complete turn-around? Not so much.
I felt it was all too convenient and rapid to be realistic. :/ Not that it isn't good to teach kids racism is wrong--it definitely is a good lesson--but it could have been handled better.
The other two episodes were fine and dandy. It was nice to see Pinky and Fluttershy have fun. c:
