I was also picky about the quality of my toys as a kid. xD I remember being appalled by the frizzy-looking Pikachu plushies that most kids had. I did give in a while back and get one of those small plastic Applejacks with a fake-hair mane, though. I painted on her white spots with correction fluid when I got home.

I don't buy toys, but I'm pretty sure I especially wouldn't buy toys that looked like this anyways.

I definitely didn't like off-model toys as a kid, but that didn't stop me from having a ton of them, because my parents weren't nearly so discerning. (Also because if there's only one Tails plushie in Toys R Us and I wanted a Tails plushie for Christmas, that's the one I was getting XD) I didn't get to buy my own stuff until high school, but by then I was so deep into anime and most Japanese-made plushies are WAY more on-model with their IPs.
EDIT: Oh, but to keep on MLP-topic: I haven't gotten around to watching any of the new eps since the Weird Al cameo. Has the season ended yet?

And yeah, anime does well in their toys and plushies and stuff.

DAT FINALE @_@...Speaking of the season 4 finale, weird thought I had the other night regarding it: It was said that Lord Tirek literally took away the pegasi's ability to fly, but they obviously still kept their wings. Does this perchance mean that pegasus flight is powered to some degree by magic? (Since, y'know, technically speaking they shouldn't be able to fly, laws of physics etc.)
It might also explain why Twilight's flight went so crazy after absorbing the power of all the alicorns. :'B

Unicorn = What most think of Magic. They can create, destroy, and all forms of other things.
Pegasi = Flight, able to create some weather, and move weather
Earth = Power, they have strength and stuff.

Does anyone have the Gameloft app and a Gameloft account? I'd like someone to complete the social-based activities with, and I don't really want to connect my game to Facebook. >_>

I think, after a certain age, a lot of kids notice when their toys are off-model. I know I did. XD
It's really the parents that they target with those kinds of cheap products, since parents are the ones who buy the toys anyway. They count on the parent seeing the product and thinking: "yeah, my kid likes this show/game/comic/movie/whatever, I'll get this."

Finally got around to watching the season finale.
They sure do like to remind you that MLP is really just a toy line at its core, don't they? XP

Still only seen four episodes of Season 4. I should buy the season on iTunes or something. >_> That's not what I came here to say, though. That'd be kind of a weird thing to update y'all on. Just a disclaimer for why I haven't been very active in this club recently. So. MLP CCG. Anybody play? I started playing a while ago. It's the first CCG I've ever attempted... I mean, I have Pokemon cards, but never knew anyone to trade them with and I still don't know how the gameplay part of it actually works. MLP CCG, though, I like. It's easy to get into and you don't have to spend half of your time gathering magic(that is what that one game's name means, right?). My main deck is a Rainbow Dash deck(I know, you're all shocked ), and I've been trying to build an Applejack and Pinkie Pie deck, or as I call it, the "Funny, but True" deck(get it? Honesty and Laughter?), or the more boring "Earth Ponies" deck. I started doing this after noticing all the effects these cards have on Face-offs. My sister, despite not being a brony(or a 'pegasister' for those who wish to argue semantics) also plays MLP CCG, and so does a friend of hers(who is a brony/pegasister/fan-of-a-certain-cartoon-outside-its-primary-demographic). My sister's got a Rarity and Fluttershy(well, actually Celestia) deck, and is building a "Princesses" deck after getting a card that grants a bonus for Luna and Celestia both being at a Problem. She and I started off with opposite Canterlot Nights starter decks, me with the Luna and Rainbow Dash deck, her with the Celestia and Rarity deck, although my main deck is slowly shifting away from Purple cards and more towards Pegasi of any color. I think all I lack is a yellow one. ...and that's all I have to say about that.

I saw Kotaku covered a "how to play" it, and it seemed much more complicated than the Pokemon -or- the Neopets TCGs. XD I'd love to get involved in another TCG (it's been too long!), but I don't have enough local people to play with. (Prolly gonna get into Hearthstone, whenever they release it for Android. Cough.)

I like the simple TCG's... because I tried yugi-oh but I spent sooo much time reading the cards and what they do that it really ruined the fun for me.
The more basic the TCG the more fun it is to play.
And if pinkypie had luna's powers for a day or some other way influenced peoples dreams then last night was her influence xD I dreamt of eating all sorts of cakes and icing covered goodies~

Did anyone say... GRIFFINSTONE?! I friggin love griffins. But I'll be pretty honest, the entire "kingdom" turned out a bit of a disappointment (as intended). I just hope we get to see it again someday restored to its former glory - and that we meet more griffins (perhaps someone who is not a bully). Nonetheless, the episode was super enjoyable. The character design looked great - the extra griffins didn't even have any lines, but who cares? They look fab and someone who dresses like that needs no words - Pinkie Pie and Raibow Dash are always a good mix, Gilda's redemption was dreadfully overdue and Twilight's geekness is just adorable. So far, this season has been more than satisfying. It's been tackling issues that have always been hanging in the air (cutie mark crusaders *cough*), more songs, new locations and old characters making glorious comebacks. It's been a good year so far. Very good.
