So, according to clause 666B of your contracts - yes, you all have a contract, signed in blood n everything, we do our piracy properly - you are all aware that I reserve the right to prod y'all with the sharp end of a badger whenever I see fit and deem necessary. As per the abovementioned, is anyone still alive and around and present?

*floats around* Always XD Been wondering where everyone has been recently though >.> Guilds and Bloids have been kind of dead the last couple of days. I think the bloids had a total of 3-4 posts the other day.

I just don't see us having anything to do until we land unless we want to have an encounter with a sea monster on the journey and then decide it's too cute to kill and try to convince the blarf to adopt it as a brother.

We really don't need any more fuzzy NPCs tagging along x'D But frankly, why does something have to happen all the time? We just had a pretty big timeskip. Technically it means that everyone needs to reestablish their positions. Whatever the ninja have been doing, they'll be following us by boat by now (or have given up and wandered off to pick daisies on the fields, take your pick, not like I can tell you how to write the story >>). The Fleeters are presumably kicking back and relaxing... or more likely, up to their necks in dishwater :3 The crew is either busy sailing or, if it's plain sailing, have gone off to fix sails/plait ropes/gamble with Davy Jones for their souls/telling ghost stories to each other/all of the above. You know, the stuff that we presumably do 97% of our time (whenever we're not stuck in an apocalypse) but that we never actually show ourselves doing. The everyday stuff. Stuff that we need to have to actually be a solid guild.

Hey, we are picking daisies to present to the mages as a gift. And they are pretty...
But really, I'm just waiting for a PM reply. But by the end of the next two ninja posts we should be following on boat, yep.
But yeah, it's true, you don't always need something going on to post... I mean look at the talk about the zombie penguins XD It wasn't needed, but it was fun and entertaining ^_^ It's fun to get those little bit of seeing how a character acts when nothing is going on.

I'm probably one of the strongest supporters of worldbuilding in the guilds at present. I genuinely think that's the biggest thing the guildverse is lacking right now. So, I'm all for some good manual labor shipwork stuff that shows people doing what they're actually on this ship to do. The problems are that a) I've been quite busy (and a bit lazy) lately, and b) I've been posting a lot recently, so I was hoping to let some other people have a bit of time in the spotlight. It doesn't look like that's really worked out, though. Problem with part a), though, is that I'm about to be much more busy very soon. Tomorrow will be pretty much entirely taken up with preparing for my trip. Friday will be the flight itself, which takes nearly all of a day. After that I've got to get settled in. And I want to get to bed early tonight and tomorrow night, because the flight is at 8:45 and they want you to be at the airport three hours in advance because it's an international flight which means getting up at about 4 AM which is around the time I've been going to bed recently. Sooooo I probably won't be posting tonight or any time tomorrow. I may be able to write something up while I'm flying and then post it during a layover (that actually sounds like a great way to pass the time on the plane, I think I'll do that) but that's the very earliest I'll be able to write anything worthwhile.

Ooh, is this what you guys talk about when I'm slacking off? I should do that more often. *BRICK'D*
*ahem* Anyway. I've mostly been lazy and "what do I write now" past few days, which is ridiculous since my plans for Nasue consist of "character development" and my plans for Kovaran consist of "isn't it obvious". Entirely my fault. I'll see if I can get a post up later today or tonight.

I imagine that another reason here is that most of the crew flat-out doesn't know enough about day-to-day sailing to post about it >> If you joined the ninjas, you've presumably atleast seen enough Naruto to tell the difference between a katana and a shuriken, and anyone who joins the Fleet is most likely a sci-fi nut by nature, but the big pirate films of late have only shown sailing as an inconvenient backdrop to fun stuff like swordfights and Johnny Depp. When I first started writing posts that actually dealt with sailing, it was preceded by three solid hours of wiki-research. I think I'll need to write up a crash-course one of these days, plus that often-promised rigging plan of the Weewoo (so that when you climb around in the rigging, you can at least tell which yard you're currently on).
But in the meantime: I'm basically expecting filler here, guys. We all know how to write filler. GW3 was at least 60% filler. Don't try to convince me that everyone has forgotten how to write filler, I don't believe you and you'll just get extra deck duty for trying to mess with me >__>

Alright, I think I should explain one thing in the post I just wrote up. The last part might imply that the ninjas' ship is close to the White Weewoo - I wasn't intending to imply that at all (how can it be close if they can't see it?). The joke is supposed to be that Kovaran is really loud.
*ahem* Anyway. So. Filler-tastic enough?

*coughs* I was wandering around Europe for the past week, which you will see as a valid exemption from badger-poking listed at 666B:183.
A post from me will be up in the next hour, once I a) look at our base thread to see what my duties are besides treasury and b) write my post.
Research into "What sailing a ship actually involves" will happen... at some point. XD You're right that I need to delve into some research.

Well it would've been up in an hour had my internet not decided to go on a mini-holiday. >_> But it's up now!
Anyone who doesn't actually have duties on board the ship, feel free to say you've read out of the Library books I've borrowed, and then we can have people spouting useful factual information during the trip. :3

"Sorry about that!" Speck had been admiring her work too much, and hadn't paid attention to where she was going, or who she was running into. She looked up at the warthog, and almost gave an audible gulp. She looked away quickly, then walked as fast as she could to the stairs leading belowdecks. ...for some reason I misread that as "audible sigh". How the heck did I do that?! We don't need any more crack pairings, thank you!Alright, I think I should explain one thing in the post I just wrote up.
