In Mage Manor, even students write their theses with giant illuminated letters. =D *shot* Well, nobody ever said that it was a good thesis. Our uni kept all students' theses in the library and never published the actual grade of the thesis. For all we know, the snarkbook was a big fat fail. A propos sailing off, I reckon we should do that sooner rather than later because we don't want the plot to stall and we already have most if not all relevant information (read: a very vague clue but if you're at all familiar with narrative laws, you know what it means). Hey, crewpeople, final chance to do something fun and plot-relevant (latter optional) before I push this show back on the road. I don't particularly like posting too many times in a row. Extra points if you blow something up, make us run out fast and set up our next getting-out-of-trouble RP-plot.As in what do the ninjas do normally? Watch over the NTWF and protect it from the shadows. Go on random missions from time to time (which is why I personally don't have any problems with mercs, since the ninjas do it every now and then themselves). Ninjas are mercs - their whole point was to go on missions - so that really only makes sense. ...Ever notice how we have at least three guilds that make goody-two-shoesing and law-protecting their sole stated purpose and somehow my merry gang of amazon vagabonds still prances through life without a blink? xD

If nobody tells you, it'd be very suspicious and you'd have reason to follow us anyway. - retcon a ninja NPC visiting the Library for some reason or other and standing in the next aisle the whole time, overhearing the whole thing - I can go on, really. This isn't a GW, guys. Don't sit around expecting the plot to come to you, that rarely worked even back then.

I think she has a point. There's nothing saying that the guild leaders are the only ones with the power to advance time forward and cause major plot events. If, say, one of the pirates who isn't Hunty wants to do a timeskip to the ship, don't be shy. We'll improvise. That's what roleplays are about, eh? :3

Hunty, do you have a specific idea of what the Snark is that you will reveal at a key moment? Or is it a sort of first-come-first-canonized deal? ... And by canonized I do mean "first thing into guild canon" as opposed to "first to achieve sainthood." >_>

It might even be fun to see if we can find the thing, cart it back, and give it to Zagora without once saying what it is. Aside from that, just look back to Hunty's last post: This is a communal activity, no one has called dibs on anything.

What he said. I've never had a plan in any of the roleplays. I make stuff up as I go along. I'm just good at making it look like it was the plan from the beginning. Commonly called the Lancre Witches' School of Plotting :3
And really, all RPs are first-come-first-canonized deals. You can't call dibs on a plot in an RP. If I did that, I'd just get bored after the first few pages because knowing what's going to happen doesn't make for an interesting game. I'm in these shows solely because I never know where the ball rolls with the next post.

Talked with Hunty, we've agreed it's about time for another timeskip. Probably some time tomorrow. You'd be well advised to wrap up what you're doing and find a reason to come along (if necessary/wished).

Right, so obligatory notes about my latest post. * Why did I hint (well, practically say) that Ginga might have ulterior motives? Well, I was writing and reading through the post... and at some point I realised that the reasons he was sending Draco and Kovaran on this mission seemed kinda flat. Having ulterior motives could work for him, since he's not as morally clear-cut as Kov or Nasue. * The reason I took so long to begin the 'mission briefing' is simple: WRITER'S BLOCK. I had a lot of trouble working out how to connect point A to point B! * The ninja boat thing was Draco's idea. Credit where it's due. * Ever since the whole thing about going to the library I thought about having Nasue discover something about her powers. The way it was done was kinda anticlimatic, I know... but I got an amusing Sound Effect Bleep out of it. And at least it's no longer some Mysterious Poorly-Explained Power. (The 'seeing colours' thing would be a magic-detection ability, by the way.) Yeah, I wing it a lot. Sometimes it works. Ready for a time/space-skip, I guess.

Alright, guess who had another round of overthinking this thing =D
Which is to say, our timeline. The distance between Le Singe and Mage Manor is roughly 192 kilometers and the Weewoo averages at 10 knots/18 kph with good wind. Which means that the journey to the Manor took us 11-12 hours. If we set out early in the morning, it means that we got to the Manor at 10 p.m. at the earliest but most probably at midnight and woke everyone up requesting entry to their library, which wouldn't be smart even if you're not dealing with mages who may or may not like you. So by my logic, we stopped out at sea near Dunburrow at the end of Day 1, had a good night's sleep, got to the Manor on the morning of Day 2 and will most probably leave at around noon.
Also for general information: the distance between Dunburrow and Port Parnassos is roughly the same as the distance between Le Singe and Dunburrow, so we'd get there with the same schedule and arrive on the morning of Day 3. Our roleplays have suddenly gotten a lot more longwinded ever since we got logical >>
*wanders off to post*

Wow.... Logic stinks XD Edit: Poor Zomquins guy....
