I'm waiting until June to start the monthly art events again (since May is almost over) but I figure if anyone is going to enter the BC next week, I can go ahead and start that feature! PM me if you're planning to enter with the name and species of the pet you're entering, and I'll feature it on a blog on the dA group!

...Does anyone else get server error messages when trying to upload icons for gallery folders? I'm using an image of the correct size and character count and am not sure why it's giving me this message:
I've been trying again several times for several hours and from different browsers, it's rather frustrating and I hope it's an issue on their end that'll be resolved in time and not some problem with the file... What with dA going down for a couple days some time ago (which broke my link in a post elsewhere at the time it went live, really inconvenient timing), I've been getting rather frustrated with the site...

Although I don't remember a time when it went down for several days? Unless it was a really long time ago. I'm on dA pretty much daily, and it goes down for a few hours at a shot at most.

I've never made folder icons either, but you could try sending in a support ticket.

It wasn't down for several days, just a couple, and it would sporadically go back up for an hour or two during that period but was for the most part inaccessible (I and a friend both couldn't use it, so it wasn't just me). I think it happened around May 9.
And, thanks for the responses. I'm hoping it'll work if I just wait some time, but if it persists I'll send in a support ticket.

I just tried to upload a gallery icon myself and got that same error.

Ah, thanks a lot for testing it, Killix! I'm really relieved to know it's not just me. I guess I'll just wait for it to go back up, then. Edit: Sent a support ticket and it got fixed  |

Hello there, fellow NTWFers! Uhm...heh, yeah, I come to you in search of advice. XD I've been thinking about upgrading my account to premium for a long time. And I mean, a long time - literally years. But now I'm going to start uploading a webcomic (I really hope this isn't a bad idea) and I do believe some features of the premium account can come in handy - especially scheduling uploads - that's tempting stuff right there. I was wondering what you guys think? Is it worth it? Is it honestly helpful to you fellow artists out there?  Thanks for reading! |

And I mean, a long time - literally years. But now I'm going to start uploading a webcomic (I really hope this isn't a bad idea) and I do believe some features of the premium account can come in handy - especially scheduling uploads - that's tempting stuff right there. Hm. dA is in my top 5 most visited sites I go to every day, and I've been a Premium member for probably the last 8-ish years. I really like the Journal features, and the scheduling feature's been pretty helpful for my webcomic. But honestly? I don't think it's ever been worth $30 to me. XD I almost do it out of habit because I don't like the ads and I like the perks. But I'd probably wait for one of the sales, unless you reaally feel like you have to get it right now. Like, usually around Christmastime, they have a Buy One Get One sale, which effectively makes it only $15/yr. And for THAT much, I like it. |

Oh, I didn't know about these promotions! That's swell! *-* The thing is, the webcomic's release matches an important date in July. Which is merely a formality, but I suppose it'd be worth a few extra dollars - but agnst.
