Animated Chests are from this. Clockwork Maids are from, if I remember correctly, the last TCG tournament. I seem to remember Underdeep-Draco had something to do with Nightmare Creatures. There might be a few more I'm missing, here. Yes, unfortunately we didn't know about Nightmare Creature until Draco told us. But thankfully you don't have to worry about it because you can still use the cards.

Can't it be un-retired though, since there's no particular reason for it to be retired?

Can't it be un-retired though, since there's no particular reason for it to be retired? I promise to look into it tomorrow, but I've already wasted hours of my day and I have an exam tomorrow and another in a few more days so I really can't be wasting any more time on something people might still complain and whine about. I'm out of energy. I will get around to it.

I have just PM'd Sarn with a suggestion on another compensation. I am actually hoping she'd consider it, but let's move on.
I'm returning to the topic about canonicity. If it's not such a problem, we should hold up a thread about the "retired cards" list and see what changes we can have for them. It could range from a simple renaming of the card to a complete make-over of the card including changing the attacks and effects. It pains me to see that some of the cards brought up by a lot of people here would be removed, and I was thinking that something could still be done about it to avoid the bane of their existence.
Strife brought this topic up already, so this post is just my support and my say about it. Hopefully we can get enough support to see this done.

...Animated Chest refers to my bweechests? xD Didn't even know that there was a card, or that it's called that way. I just think of them as bweechests. Any card art will be included but you will probably need to negotiate with Hunty as she has said she doesn't really want to make non-canon cards. *nailrattle* Yes, that. See, the problem with making cards is that it's a truckload of work. Each new card is extra work, and due to all the changes this game has gone through and is constantly going through, the cards always face potential new changes; all the old ones I've made already have to be redone. Therefore, when I first took it up, I took interest in it because I'm frankly a pretty big fangirl of this forum. I like drawing art for characters and items I know from the bloids or guilds or old events, and I saw this game as an opportunity to tie them all together with one common denominator. Whereas I honestly have no interest in creating a card that's just some generic tornado or freezeray or fireball or what have you, that I have no connection with. And you know how it is with these events, you shouldn't be in it if you don't have fun with it. Buuuut I daresay that problem should be solved once I get around to making a card-creating tutorial so that anyone and everyone with access to a decent image editing program can create their own cards. I've been sorely low on free time lately, but I aim to get it done as soon as I can manage. That way I won't be a bottleneck.

Basically what we did was use the forum search tool for the names of the cards in question and if we didn't find them outside the TCG, they were marked for possible removal. Ah. I guess that explains why Octo Pie was removed. Either the forum search can't find it buried in years old 'bloids, or that whole thing must've been wiped in an old 'bloid explosion.

Ok guys, everything is sorted out, the cards are back and able to be used in normal duels and tournaments, sold and traded and whatnot. There really isn't much of a change at all and I think we should all just put this behind it. There's been far more hurt over this than there needed to be and its better to just put it behind us and let the wounds heal.
Some cards that have been retired may be returned to the list in due time, but for now please just be patient. Art for the retired cards has also been returned and if either Hunty or someone else wants to make the card image then that'll be nice.
And everyone, please remember that this is a game, after all. I think we've all gotten attached to certain ways of thinking and acting so that when a big change happens, everyone reacts badly and some people (I think mostly Sarn who recieved hatespam) got hurt. We're all just playing a game and shouldn't worry too much. So what if your strategy gets messed up, if you're a good player you'll be able to adapt to changes. Though Sarn has said she won't ever make some big change again, so I don't see that you have much to worry about. She keeps her word, your precious cards are safe.

Good news everyone!Due to the large amount of feedback from the players, we've decided to roll back the changes to the card list to its original state. No more retired cards! Now all cards, 'canon' or otherwise, will be freely available in the Superstore as well as for starter decks. Your good ol' TCG back to normal. Good news indeed *nods* Now on to your regularly scheduled dueling Edit: As a FYI, the card name changes still apply since they're minor cosmetic issues (though Frag Grenade's effects still stay). If you've forgotten they are: Card List ModificationsAnd because someone asked, the following cards are the ones that have been modified: - Steampunk Airship: Name change to The Blackstone Wings

Frag Grenade can now target Benched Fighters? Wouldn't that make Lemon Bomb obsolete?
I think Frag Grenade was supposed to target only the opponent's Active Fighter in the first place, but with 2 Damage. Lemon Bomb can target Benched Fighters at the cost of only having 1 Damage.

Heh, that must've been missed when the card list was put back together again, but you're right. I'll go edit. ^^

Does CCC Cookies activate when that fighter falls to 0 (granted they have more than half their HP before the damage)? Technically they "fall below half their HP" at that point, but it could be seen as a loophole.

I think I counted that as a KO and a loss of a event card in a battle I had. But I did think about that.
