Does taking ibuprofens such as Advil, Aspirin, etc., makes your heart beat faster/harder? I always notice my heartbeat being really strong after taking them... I don't know, it's strange. XD Aspirin sometimes gives me heartburn, but I haven't noticed anything like my heart rate going up.

Can you use an external hard drive as additional storage space? And does it work as if a normal hard drive would? Meaning, can you save files from there and open them as you normally would? (For example, saving a movie file on there and being open it in iTunes, or saving a picture there and opening in PS, etc.) Also, after backing things up from your external HD to your computer, can you delete saved files to clear space up there? Nevermind.

Rachel - I would think so, yes, since you can basically do the same with a flash drive, but I don't own an external hard drive, so I can't say I've ever done that.
My question: I have my settings on Facebook set so that my family members can't see things other people post on my wall, cause.. there's not anything really bad there, but sometimes people post stuff I might not care for them to see, or make really dopey comments on. But apparently this means my entire wall is hidden to them - not only can they not see, but they can't post. Is there a way to hide other people's posts from a friend group while still allowing that friend group to post?

Rachel: Yep, it's the exact same thing as a regular hard drive - just in a separate casing and connected by a different method (I.E., USB cable).

What exactly is "meta"?

|
Post by Dan on May 10, 2010 17:29:13 GMT -5
It's used to talk about the thing itself, whatever the meta- prefix is attached to. So, metajokes are jokes about jokes themselves (i.e. breaking the 4th wall, which lets the audience know that the characters in the story are aware they're in a story) Basically, it signals that the thing (whatever it may be) is aware of itself. EDIT: Sorry if that wasn't very clear, it's kinda difficult to explain. XD;

Saw an item on the Price is Right called a "cordless electric lawn mower." Now, has there ever been an electric lawn mower that had a cord? And if so, doesn't that sound like the most dangerous thing in the whole world?? I mean, I've accidentally vacuumed over the vacuum cord...

When we moved into my current house, the previous owners left behind their (broken) lawn mower with a cord. I wondered the exact same thing you did. XD Thankfully we never had to use it.

Yes we used to have a lawn mower with a cord D= It looks pretty dangerous xD But my dad used to turn the cord loosely around the handle and let it rest there and as he moved he would let some cord behind

When I choose the "Save as" option in Photoshop, it doesn't seem to be giving me the option to save as a PNG anymore, which means I have to use the "Save for web" option instead. Why has it started doing this? xD

Why has it started doing this? xD Check your Mode. (Under "Image") If it's in RGB mode over 16 bits, or if it's in CMYK mode, it won't save as a PNG. Unless you have a specific reason for being in a different mode, RGB 8-bit is the best one to use for drawing in Photoshop.

Ah, that'll be why then. I was trying out a tutorial that required the mode to be in CMYK. xD

So, you know how on the pet spotlight entry page it says you need to do your own formatting? What does that mean, exactly? That you have to include the HTML code for text breaks, italics and everything?
