Somebody please smack me upside the head because I'm procrastinating again. I have my plot and a prolouge first chapter. *smacks* As you requested. I had a lot of trouble getting writing today. But I've since decided that my main character is going to help teach a beginner's fencing class. Which means I get to steal from my real fencing class and my teacher, who I've already quoted

SO what's the weirdest thing your characters have done so far? Mine broke out into song. The Spongebob Squarepants theme song, to be exact it made sense in context Well, there was the one time when I wanted to write exactly four words (so I could have 12,345 words), so I ended up with Larissa randomly shouting "I AM... LARISSA JENIVER!" out of nowhere. XD Next to that would probably be the random 'shipperish implications that keep coming out without my intending for them to be there at all. As for looking up random facts for your novel, well... I think the fact that my list of recent Google searches includes things like how weight is measured in Japan or why the sky is blue says a lot. Yeah, I'm with PFA on the 'shipping thing. xD My characters keep on trying to become couples, even the ones I haven't started writing about yet! It's kinda annoying. But I think I might just let them do whatever they feel like and see what happens ...

So instead I give them rumours about it and proceed to do my best to make it seem utterly unreasonable. It's weird.

...Why is it that everytime I nip onto the Internet to double-check the meaning of an unfamiliar expression, I invariably end up spending thirty minutes on a website that produces witty T-shirts?

The weirdest thing my characters have done so far? Perhaps Character B agreeing to stay overnight, just because drunken Character A asks them. @tamia Perhaps because of the same reason I look up one thing about New York and suddenly find myself following some trail of links for half an hour because my muse finds it more interesting than actually going back to writing. My muse can even spend thirty minutes on reading Diner-reviews.

xD Sounds familiar.
And also, worst typo I've made so far:
*headdesk*
...Oh yeah, by the way... in my story, you can reflect desserts off of your face. Just so you know.

The longer I write on this novel, the more I want to write on it. The more words I want to write every day without being made of fail. And yet somehow I have less time this year than ever and am only slightly better at time organization. Nano is killlllllling meeeeee ;_________; hur hur hur *sob*
And for the record, I've only looked up one thing for Nano. ...what different parts in a window is called. And it was for one word that will never ever matter, really. ....well, I feel satisfied now, anyway.

Weirdest thing...Um, I had three MCs pass out close to each other. xD Poor Ves, he had to go fetch the healer for everyone. Whee, link-following! I'm definitely guilty of that... I can't pair my characters, I really just can't...maybe 'cause I'm not into romantics in real life either. >.< Closest I'll get is deeply best friends. That's about it. Oh boy. If I ever do make a game, I'ma make two different paths for whether Eri and Ves should be paired or not. XD I want a game where the main girl and guy are NOT a pairing by the end of it, dangit.

Why pair characters if they are not supposed to be paired? I have written quite a lot of stories where people are only friends. Easiest way usually is: have them kiss and then realize that the famous spark did not come, so they simply go back to being friends, blaming the rest of the world for working so hard on them that they even considered it, and then turn it into a joke.

I have trouble thinking in terms of romance for my characters (seeing as I have no experience at all), so I'm very glad no one has started displaying interest in anyone else in my story.
My characters are starting to develop wills of their own. Or at least, my one character decided to hate this guy I'd brought in to be her friend or maybe just a friendly acquaintance, which led to a fun little fight. I don't think he helped his case much, turning into quite the little jerk that he is. So I had to introduce someone else to fulfill the original role...lol It's fun, though, watching them start to develop.

Please don't kill me guys...
November is always the busiest month of my life, and it's even worse since this November seems to be full of nothing but dentist appointments and swine flu. I'm so behind, I'm thinking of quitting. NaNo just isn't helping me this year, and is only adding to my stress and making me feel guilty. I considered it long and hard, and realized my main reason for not quitting is not because, deep down inside, I don't want to; it's because I don't want people to think that I'm a quitter.
...I think maybe I should quit...but I'll feel guilty and like a loser...should I?

Try and go on Allyson, please. Just a few words a day, as much as you can. It is better to try and fail with NaNo than not try at all. ^^ Ok?
As for characters developing free will, I'm starting to have that problem. xD I had a part of the plot where my two lovebirds would dance, highlighting some of the romantic tension but the guy decided it would be out of character for him to do so because he's still in denial so he refused and is now sitting jealously in the corner. x3
Oh characters, I set you up for such a lovely romance and you decide to twart me. This won't end well.

'kay, so um yeah. Guess who just passed the 1,000 words mark? *dances* Yay! Grats Birdy/ I'm going nowhere with my NaNo, guys, and we almost lost all the different places we saved it. D: I think I'll quit, which will be good for Allyson because she wont be alone if she quits.

I couldn't concentrate at all today. ;___; I think it's because I have homework looming over me. And yet, I didn't work on the homework either... *headdesks repeatedly* I am the worst procrastinator ever.
