We need to have a chat thread of course. =D Talk about plot ideas, stress about the wait until November or not having enough time or whatever you can think of. ^_^
I'm unsure if I'm going to be able to do a NaNo this year, but I want to. D: If only it was in like, July. XD;

If it was in December, now ... if it was in December, I would be singing with joy, because I have extensive holidays. It'd be ... it'd be easy. o____O
Why must it be when I have exams?
... Well, mostly because it's more fun that way, I guess. xD The eternal cry of the NaNoer: "I need more time!"

Yeah, I've always noticed that NaNoWriMo takes places in my busiest moth. xD Figures. But November is also the month in which I get the most days off -- not counting my spring, winter, and summer breaks, of course) -- so I should just take advantage of all that. xD haha. ANYWAYYY ~

Gosh, November is probably the best month of the year for me to do NaNo. xD Cross country will be over, I won't have much stress from school to worry about, and I have a lot of days off. There really won't be much going on, so I can focus on my novel. ^_^ I'm really excited.

Urgh...November is totally the worst time. XD Midterms. The dang midterms. YOU TORMENT ME SO. But oh well, I almost managed last year. ^^ I'll find the time to get things done. If I just use this to procrastinate instead of download-able games, it should work out.
And now to look up dares to do. ^^

Yeah... I'm going to have fun, being the kind of person who leaves everything until the last minute. Now I have university midterms and two writing-intensive English courses to worry about as I attempt my first ever NaNo . xD But that'll be the fun of it, I suppose. I'm gonna be a writing superpower come December, just you wait n' see.
And also, I'm already itching to start writing this. >.>;

I think I'll be okay time-wise, although my roommate thinks I'm crazy. I do have football (meaning marching band) and classes, but I'm only taking three classes this quarter (as opposed to the four I usually take..), which helps a LOT. xD
My problem is that I have characters I really want to write about and NO PLOT WHATSOEVER. I'm willing to go in blind if I don't have anything come November, but I'd like to have at least some idea of what I'm doing.

Is the site not working for anyone else? It's really weird, too, because I could get on it all day at school. =P Maybe it's just my computer.
edit: nevermind, I got it. xD

I was most pleased to find someone who listed Patrick Rothfuss as a favourite author living right here in my very own city. *wants to meet them* I also joined a regional group, and I am seriously considering attending some of the events. They're going to play laser tag. =D

I think I'm going to try going to a few for the first time. Has anyone here ever been to a write-in for NaNo?

I'm not sure if there even is anyone in my region doing NaNo this year. xD Certainly no ML.
I went to a meet-up yesteryear, which, seeing there were only about four people, was kind of lame, so I'm likely as not not going to any this year. I wish there were more NaNoers in my area, though. ;__; Meet-ups and write-ins and the like sound such fun.

My region is the entire state, and it's very big state. So it's harder for people to meet up.
Looking at the region, though, they seem to have MLs for every major city, and they seem to be organizing stuff. I don't know how many I'll go to, but I may end up going to at least one.
As for my stuff... I'm really leaning towards my second idea because I have more of a plot laid out there, but I'm concerned that it won't reach 50,000 words, or if I'll think of enough material for 50,000 words. I mean, I tend to ramble in stories anyway, but... I'm still worried.

XD My city's way too small and unknown to have its own region. I was kind of hoping the nearby city I trek to every day (well...four days a week. But it is a forty-minute drive both ways) would have one, but no...the other city gets one...
Ah, well. A real-life friend of mine's doing NaNo again (I convinced her last year, and even though she always says her story made no sense, she did have fun writing it XD), so we can geek out on our writing together. I really think it'd be cool if my whole writing club joined in, but that's about as likely to happen as...as...I dunno. The metaphor that popped into my head was "the moon turning blue."
...This should be an interesting WriMo, if those are the metaphors running around in that off-circuit brain of mine.

My -country- doesn't have its own region. XD It's grouped together with Central and South America, and I don't mind that, but yeah... hearing people talking about how their region gets as specific as a city ironically amuses me. XD I mean, Mexico is definitely not small, but too few people here know about NaNo, so... yeah.

XD My region gets as specific as my university. I went to a couple write-ins last year. They gave us free muffins, we showed up, and then we all wrote for a while and said nothing.
November is the only month when I don't have an english essay due; however, our 12-15 page papers are due on the 7th of December. So yeah. XD
