"They're right," Calanon said softly. "We can't let them Matron know about us for now. All we can do is wait."
Elodie was silent, blinking slowly a few times. She appeared indifferent, yet inside she thought, 'N-no... This... can't happen...' She tried desperately to sense any kind of pulse coming from Diae.

Matron couldn't help but cast a scornful grin and drew back her sabre letting Diae fall limp on the ground. Sighing she resheathed the bloodied blade and addressed Tarken. "Diae knew what was coming..." and with that disappeared down the trail back to the fortress.
For many long silent moments the elfing lay still in the grass as Nini mewed loudly and pawed lightly at her cheek. Slowly and softly a whitish mist began to rise from her wrists and forehead and gathered around the wound. And with what sounded like a heavy inhale in the distance the mists vanished Diae suddenly bolted up and started coughing violently.

"Diae!" Tarken couldn't help himself, he jumped on Diae and squeezed her close.
"What happened," asked Rael quizzically, he couldn't see what the kitten did and was amazed at what happened.

Gloria paused, staring with a mix of emotions at Nini. "Did that cat just...?"

Diae laughed sleepily and hugged Tarken back. "She's so predictable these days..." pulling back the bit of leather that had been pierced a new white scar could be seen next to a few others of the same size. "Matron'll stab me and knows if Nini's nearby I'll wake from death eventually. It's been this way since I was very little..."

And after healing Diae, the kitty could be seen by everyone! ((Haha, how's that?))
"But Diae, you didn't join the acedemy until you were a teenager, how would she know you when you were little?" Tarken felt a connection between the two.
Rael jumped out of the bushes and ran towards the two dark elves. He was still amazed by the magic he saw, not even a full grown powerful wizard can bring someone back from death. He couldn't help himself, Rael grabbed Nini and inspected the cat very closely, turning it upside down and bouncing it up and down.

Nini just blinked and mewed quizically as she was inspected this way and that.
Diae purposely ignored Tarken's question and took Nini back cradling her in arms. "Yes Nini can revive me but only me. She harbors a small sliver of my soul..."

Diae smiled a bit and held Nini up to Sammi. "Wanna hold her?"
Silently she glanced out towards the citadel What am I supposed to do now? she wondered. We can't forget the mission. But that would mean...urg...if only Tarken realized what Cevra would've done to him if I told her this is all his fault...

Tarken walked over to Diae. "Thank you, thank you for taking the blame. But the mission, what should we do? We can't forget our new friends and not doing the mission could cost us our lives."
