Diae sat waiting until she was about to absolutely snap from boredom. Suddenly her keen elven ears twitched and she flung her head around scrambling to her feet. "Someone knows we're here!"
Her gut cringed and twisted as she felt the familiar presence.

Rael started to mediate but felt nothing. "Diae, sadly you're wrong..."
"No, you wizard, I feel it too, something's coming..." Tarken lit a fire ball in his hand.

Diae stood poised with her largest dagger glaring with narrowed eyes at the entrance to their cave. For moments everything was silent except for a small, barely audible "mew."
"Nini!" Diae squealed with delight as she ran off and soon reappeared snuggling a tiny white kitten in her arms. "Oh I've missed you so much Nini-kins! I didn't want to leave you behind but mean old Tarken would've let me bring you!" The elfling plopped down on the floor and rummaged through a pack with her free hand and pulled out a dried piece of dried fish. Nini gnawed on the tidbit happily while Diae cooed and nuzzled her kitten.

"What is she talking about?" Rael asked. He looked at Diae like she was crazy.
"It's her kitten, " Diae replied. "Only dark elves can see it though. I told her not to bring it but I guess it follow. Smart kitten..."

Diae's gleeful expression quickly faded as her attention fell onto Tarken's comment. "As smart as she may be Nini couldn't have possibly been able to survive all this way..."
Snapping her head up she tucked Nini safely in her arms and darted towards the cave entrance. "Tarken! We can't be seen with them! Matron's here!"

"Flee! Flee now!! Please... w-we can't be se-seen with you all. We'll talk later!" Tarken screamed at the rest of the group. He was afraid, deathly afraid. Rael, with amazing speed, gathered the group and led them toawrds the trees a few yards away. Instead of fleeing, they hid in a big bush and watched what was gonig to happen.
Tarken, was worried. "We must look like we're on our mission Diae!" Tarken killed a nearby rabbit and smeared the blood on his face and on his lips. "Diae, take some." said Tarken as he threw to rabbit to the dark elf apprentice.
((I know, he needs to post because sooner or later we're gonna run out of ideas to do outside.))

"They're dark elves. Of course they probably have some sort of mission, as they are our enemies. Which is probably why they attacked us," Elodie said calmly.
Calanon moved off to the side of the group and muttered softly, "Matron, huh? Well... for her sake, and my own, I hope we don't meet again..." He took extra caution to mask his presence.

"Elodie, you are wrong, it was Diae who attacked Calanon while Tarken tried to fight her off of him. If I remember correctly, it was I who attacked you." Rael said cooly. "But wait everyone, let's see what happens."

Appearance: Dark tan skin and waist length silver hair that's rarely pulled back. Wears an tight intricate armor of black and mahongany colored leather and a simple gold circlet around her forehead.
Bio: The ruling Matron of House Nye'darin and prefers to be refered to as nothing else. Exceedingly sadistic and cold-hearted she runs her clan by personally eliminating any members she sees unfit.
Weapons/Items: Is never seen without her trusted sabre at her side but besides that neither needs or owns any other weapons
Powers/Skills/Abilities: Unimaginably skilled in swordplay and while not totally mastered in magic still possess a high resistence and imunity to magical attacks

Before she had a chance to drench herself in the fresh blood Diae's eyes went wide with panic as she felt the flat side of a cold blade drag across the tip of her ear. "How fortunate, I hadn't been expecting the two of you for a few more months," the sword's wielder chided.
Still clutching Nini Diae turned and dropped to her knees "Forgive us Matron if we intruded at a bad time."
"Hmph. You don't seem to understand dear little sister. I can tell strength has grown in both you and your master but neither of you seem to possess the greater power you were sent to achieve. Is it possible you've returned here without even accomplishing a task both of you are perfectly capable of? To which of you do I owe my displeasure?" Matron spat with her expression on the brink of fury.
Timidly Diae glanced sideways at Tarken and then dared herself to raise her head and speak to her sister's face "The fault is mine," she lied scratching Nini's head nervously.
"Such a shame." Without another word Matron grabbed her sabre and stabbed the elfling straight through the chest.

"Ah, sou," Elodie said calmly. "You seem to forget they attacked us once before, which is how we met." She blatantly ignored the mention of their earlier fight, but glanced off angrily into the distance.
Calanon walked over to Elodie and rested a hand on her shoulder. "Calm down," he told her softly.
She looked up, surprised, and nodded quickly.

"Diae..." Tarken couldn't help but let the words release from his mouth softly. He dared not to move.
Rael gasped out loudly. He couldn't take it, Diae, a friend...
"Matron, why Diae?" Tarken asked sadly. Diae was his apprentice, protector, and his...friend.

Gloria watched what happened with wide eyes. She was about to yelp "No!!" and run to help Diae, but then Willie held her back.
"You can't; that Matron person might kill you." he whispered to her.
"If Tarken doesn't, first." Sammi added.
Still, Gloria struggled. "But... I can't let this... happen..."
