Luster and nodded and brushed the silvery strands of hair behind her ear. "My name is...Luster. And my companion here is Nigel. Please lead us off as soon as possible..."
As she walked over to help Moira up of the ground Nigel titled his head towards the old man and whispered. "That wasn't always her name..."

Harryd smiled a little and whispered, "A name is just a word. A vague representation that tells nothing of what lays underneath." He then said in a louder voice, "Follow me, and stay close. Keep your eyes, your ears and your mind open." He then turned and began walking North.

Hmmph. For her it means much more than that... Nigel thought to himself as they progressed up the trail and the feeble light of dawn began to slowly sift through the trees.

Moira followed the group, supposing she had no other choice. When she heard Nigel's comment her ears mentally perked up. She slowly got closer to him.
"What did you say about Luster's name?" she asked curiously.

Nigel glanced ahead to make sure Luster was well out of earshot as they continued down the path. "Well....it's probably not my place to say but before all this she part of a noble elven family. She had a lovely childhood without anything to set her condition into effect.
Apparently she has no recollection of what happened but one day a family friend came to call and found her lying in the middle of the mansion's grand hall completely covered in blood that was not her own. Everybody else on the property was found horribly mutilated. Lazarus appeared soon after to take her into hiding before the controversy spread.
Afterwards she was always crying and refused to nothing else for her guilt was so intense. So Lazarus told her that her sins were forgiven and she was not the monster she was before but a new shining pure being and renamed her Luster to emphasize it."

((Sorry for my long absence..))
Moira stared into the dense brush ahead, silent.
"That's... That's so horrible," she finally murmured. During her sheltered life she had not heard of any such tragedies. "How could it be possible for Luster to not remember any of what she did?"

Nigel shook his head staring out into the warm glow of the sunrise. "We never remember what happens. It's like we're a completely different being..."

Harryd was in deep thought, then finally he spoke quietly to Nigel. "Do you think your... Condition... Could be cured?"

Nigel sighed and looked ahead to where Luster was. "If there is I can only hope we can find it before something drastic happens..."
Luster, who had been unaware of this conversation the whoel time turned her head and addressed Harryd. "How long do expect our trek will take?"

Harryd looked at the sky. "Hopefully three days, if the weather proves cooperative."

Moira glanced up at the sky as well. There were rather sinister-looking clouds off in the distance. "If those clouds are heading towards us," she said, "then the weather definitely will not cooperate." She sighed. She had nothing with her--nothing to protect her from the elements. She assumed the others had the same problems.

Harryd noticed the clouds as well. "If that would be the case, then you may have to add an extra day to that, but hopefully no more..."

Moira nodded silently. It was getting later in the day, and her stomach was growling again. "Is it time to sup yet?" she asked sheepishly, glancing at her companions.
