Ky'sta stared up at the tall human then down at the floor poking around sheepishly at the damp hem of her velvet dress. "Um...my name is Ky'sta. I followed you here. I don't know why really. I just figured it was a better idea than staying on the lakeshore."
She let out a huff of a sigh and hugged her knees into her chest. "But there's something I don't understand. I look alot different than everybody and I don't think they like it either. I feel like I should be ashamed or something..." Her pale eyes darted over to E and she pointed. "But I can't tell if I look different from that person. They have their hood up and I can't tell..."

"Well...maybe it must be because you aren't human, or pure human at all," said Xander frankly, leaning against the wall. "I think you're an elf...kind of like a human, only slightly shorter and with longer ears. And if you're different, that doesn't mean people won't like you. Heck, maybe they're just...surprised. No offense, you look like something the cat dragged in. I think you need to get cleaned up a bit."

((I have nothing to continue this. Should we skip ahead to after they've cleaned Ky'sta up or something?))

[shadow=purple,left,300](Sorry. ^^; Okay, now I'm here.)[/shadow]
Xander whistled for a nearby waiter. "Show me to the nearest privy for Ky'sta. And while she's in there, I need a maid to take care of her clothes. I shall tip you both handsomely once she's all cleaned up." He glanced at Ky'sta. "Well, no offense, but you do need a little washing up. Like I said, maybe that's why everyone's staring at you."
Taking her hand gently in his somewhat callused one, he followed the waiter as he led the way, rattling off where towels and other things could be found in case they needed them.
"I'll be back," he called towards E.

Ky'sta shuffled shyly from the privy several minutes later fresh and dry. She'd been given a white cotton nightshift to wear while her gown dried. Still clutching Xander's hand the elf sat herself next to E at their table and quietly gnawed at the crusty bread that had been set out for her.
Her pales eyes double took on the pendant peeking out from the frontmost flaps of E's cloak and poked it with her tiny forefinger. "That's pretty," Ky'sta cooed. Suddenly she let out a tiny yelp and whipped her hand back and sucked on her fingertip. "It burned me!"

"Must be magic," Xander casually commented. "My sister has a necklace that can summon fierce hurricanes out of nowhere when you say the magic words. Unfortunately she's never lent it to me ever since that time I accidentally blew her precious rosebushes away." He snickered, remembering the look on Alexria's face.

E also snickered. "I have no clue if it's rthe cloak or you," she said. "Either one is possible, I guess." She turned to Xander. "What's your name?"

"I am Alexander Cirrus of the Air Kingdom of Anima, but everyone prefers calling me Xander, as the former seems to be quite a mouthful," said Xander with a little flourish of his hand. "Now then, are we properly acquainted?"

Ky'sta nibbled at her bread silently between the two her ears keen on their conversation. Glancing up at both and setting down her meal she prodded around in the folds of her wet clothes that sat on the stool next to her and fished out the necklace she'd noticed earlier. Face still free of any visible emotion she held it up by the chain letting a single tapered black shard dangle.
"I have one too. I do not think it's the same as yours..." Ky'sta prodded it in the manner she did to E's. "This one isn't all hot and burning."

Name: Miire Pallas Nickname: "Pal" or "Pallas"; hardly anyone calls her by "Miire" anymore Species: human Occupation: Rogue/traveler/hunter/archer-->travels on her own; does what she wants (that pretty much sums it up) Age: 19 Abilities: Is not magical--or if she is, she has never tried to use her abilities. She used to hunt with her father when she was a child; when he died suddenly she took his hunting belongings--his bow, his dagger, and his pack--and went off on her own at age 14. Due to five years on the road she is very experienced on her own and knows territories very well. She has great accuracy with a bow & arrow and is fairly agile for a human. She never knew her mother, but she suspected that she was half-elf. Personality: Quick thinker, often snaps at people or is sarcastic, also has a sense of humor and is willing to have fun almost all the time. She is always suspicious of people she doesn't know, however, until they have proven they are safe to trust. Appearance: About 5'7", relatively slender; she is surprisingly strong for her appearance. She usually can be seen wearing a light brown leather belted tunic with tight, dark brown leather trousers that come down just past her knees. They are tucked into soft black boots that almost come up to her knees. She has long, wavy, dark hair that is usually pulled back with a string or is in a loose braid. She has light brown eyes and dark eyebrows, and her skin is naturally relatively light but pretty tan from living outside. Past: As stated above she grew up hunting with her father until his death. Ever since then she has been traveling and hunting on her own. At one point in the past few years she came across a young injured red tailed hawk, which she picked up and nursed back to health offhandedly. The hawk became trained to her voice and she dubbed him Char. Char has been helping her in her hunts ever since. She also has heard of the amulets before, but she never regarded the stories with much interest...until now. BUM BUM BUUUM!! *cough*
((Sorry, this is sort of in the middle of your parts, but... Too bad. x-D))
Miire, or more commonly known as Pal, shoved open the door of the inn and seated herself at the counter by the bartender. Char, her semi-tame red tailed hawk, was perched comfortably on Pal's left shoulder. He seemed to glare at the inhabitants of the inn, searching for food.
Pal nodded at the bartender.
"An ale, please," she said wearily. It had been a long day. She had traveled more miles than she would've liked today, and she was hungry and tired. "I'll also take a room. Your cheapest." She dug out a few coins from her pack and placed them on the counter, recieving the ale she ordered. She took a swig and turned around. It seemed she was recieving odd stares.
"What, never seen a woman order an ale before?" she challenged, glaring at the few people seated around her. She resembled her hawk for a split second, until she turned back towards the counter and took another long drink from her mug.

E looked at with interest. "I think I know something about this...but I'll tell you later. Where are you from?" she asked Ky'sta.

((We tend to die on and off n_n))
Ky'sta's eyes turned down to her hands wringing bashfully in her lap then at the dark shard on the table. "Um...I dont' know really. It's weird, the only things I remember is whatever happened from when I got out ofthe lake until now..."
