Okay, sorry, I couldn't find a better name. ^^;
Anyway, here's the concept for this:
In my realm thing(yunno, Cailean, Anistawn, and Sakuya; for more info on these go to my webbie), there is no afterlife. Once you die, Kuiriu, the god of death, Looks into your soul and judges whether or not you should be reincarnated into a new person. If you are reincarnated, you do not have any memory of your past life; you shall do the same mistakes you did in your previous life, learn the same things, etc., though in different ways.
Those who are not reincarnated become what are known as Guides. Guides are souls that have great knowledge and that Kuiriu thinks could help other mortals change something in the realm, and keep the demon Ikiun from taking over and stuff. Those people who need Guides are called Souls. So, Souls are assigned a specific Guide either at birth or, if Kuiriu judges it is better to do so, are bonded to their guide at a specific moment in their life.
There are two types of Souls: the 'Guided' or 'Awakened' Souls, those who have their Guide already, and the 'Dormant' souls, who do not have their Guide.
Non-Soul people and Dormant Souls cannot see or hear Guides. Guided Souls can see and hear both their Guides and those of others, as well as sense Dormant Souls. Also, Guides can't lift objects or touch people other than Awakened Souls: they'll go right through them, like ghosts.
Most important of all, Souls have no idea what they must do to change their realm. Guides know, but they are incapable of telling the Souls what it is. The Souls must be brought together to do this 'change' in their world.
I have some rules for this RP:
1. Try to be literate. By literate I mean use good grammar and punctuation. You don't have to be a wonderful writer, just...don't use chatspeak and stuff. 2. Mild romance allowed, though keep in mind this is NOT a romance RP. Violence allowed, as long as there isn't too much gore. 3. This is set in Medieval Times, which means NO jeans, NO t-shirts, NO guns, you get my drift. 4. I would strongly appreciate it if your character was a Soul. Since non-Souls can't see guides, it'd be hard to incorporate them into our plot. Also, start in/near the area I start in, or else we won't be able to do a proper RP. 5. Give a good description of your character(s). Be it in profile form or incorporated into your beginning post, I want to know who he/she is, and what they look like.
That's all I have to explain. Y'all understand? Feel free to ask questions if you don't. Now, on to my opening post... ********************* "Hurry up, or we won't get there in time." said Kaiira, setting her light grey eyes on her Soul, a black-haired young man with tan skin.
Maio, for that was his name, began to move his hands into several signs, staring at the ground as he kept on walking: I'm already walking as fast as I can, you know. And why don't we just stop and rest for the night? I'm exhausted, and I'll walk much faster if I have more energy.
Had he been with anybody else he would have spoken to them through thought, since he was mute, but this was Kaiira, and she could understand what he said, whichever way he said it.
"Are you crazy!?" she exclaimed. "We're in some creepy old forest here, and all we know about it is that it's near WernWood, and you just wanna stop here for the night?! We don't even know what creatures are living here!" She clutched her black leather belt as she yelled, then brushed a blonde curl out of her large eyes.
Maio sighed. Nevermind, he signed, and went back to walking.

And I always thought that it would hurt, death... I thought it would be the most agonizing experiance ever. First there comes pain, that is if you're struck down in battle... Then some of the most important parts of your life flash before your eyes, quickly enough that it doesn't take long, but clear enough that you remember them vividly... And then there is no pain, and as your vision goes black, you think of whether or not you've accomplished everything you've wanted to in your life... For me, I did. Others are not so lucky.
Thaine sighed, remembering his death. It wasn't terribly long ago he died and became a Guide. He looked at his soul, Kairon. The thief looked up at Thaine. "Why are we here again?" he asked.
"I want you to be among the wild and see nature as it truly is," answered the apparation of Thaine. "And I have a feeling that another guide with their soul is here. I want you to see others like you, who have guides."
Kairon shrugged. "Whatever you say, I guess you are my guide and I shouldn't question your wisdom or anything like that." Kairon was a thief with long black hair, a black outfit, and numerous daggers sheathed at his side, one of them very valued to him. (Yes, this is pretty much exactly the same Kairon as mentioned in another RP.)
Thaine was an elf with long brown hair and soft features, with deep blue eyes. His apparation wore a simple travellor's outfit.
(Wow, I changed a lot. Please let me know if I messed anything else up.)

((...I don't think you understand. Souls are reincarnated as well, it's Guides that aren't. Unless I got your post wrong...))
It took no more than five more minutes of walking in silence before Kaiira finally changed her mind. "Alright, we'll stop. But only until the sun rises."
Maio couldn't help but smile a bit. His hands once again began flying into signs, though only for a short moment: Thank you.
"We'll stop at the next clearing we find." she replied, and got a nod from her Soul as a response.

Julia walked through the forest. It wasn't her mother's fault that the ground had been too dry. It wasn't Julia's fault that she had been there when it was too dry. Julia couldn't blame her mother but she needed someone to blame. She finally decided to blame Amari. It was his fault that the ground had become dry and her family hadn't been able to grow enough food. Julia had been the oldest at fifteen. Her family could either tell her to leave or all of them die. Julia remebered her mother touching her hand to Julia's straight blong hair for the last time, and the sorrow in her eyes when she said, "Go find a place with out drought were you can live." Julia was small. She shouldn't be out here all alone. Her father had made her a bow and arrows. But she was so incompitent with them that it would be safer to hide from the animals than to anger them. She was walking in a forest. After living her whole life on the prarie the forest scared her. She was on edge when she turned around and saw a figure. Julia screamed and fell down. She fumbled for her bow and arrow, but it was almost 30 seconds before she had them ready and pointed at the figure. "I-I'll sh-shoot!" Julia said shakily. "Put the bow down before you hurt yourself." The figure said in a smooth stedy voice. Julia lowered the bow and examaned the figure. It was a tall woman with brown, silky hair down to her waist. She carried an air of elagance about her and she was beautiful. As she walked toward Julia she seemed to glide. How can she be so perfect looking after traveling all day? Julia wondered. "My name is Iris." The woman said as she helped Julia get up. "Have you ever heard of guides and souls?" Iris asked Julia. "Of course I have" answered Julia. "My mother--" she stopped. But then Julia decided that she should talk about her mother. It wouldn't kill her. "My mother told me storys of them. Of the Guided souls that saved the world from evil. I always loved those stories. I must know 50 stories of them. Why do you ask?" Iris ignored the question and asked, "Have you heard of awakened souls?" Julia nodded her head still wondering about Iris. She seemed mysterious. "Well," said Iris, "You--" she paused as if not sure how best to put what she was about to say. "You are now an awakened soul. I am your guide." Julia gaped at Iris. Awakening was something that happened to someone else. She had never imagined that it would happen to her. Iris continued talking. She didn't expect Julia to speak soon. Kuiriu had told her that awakened souls always took ten minutes or so before they got over the shock. "So I recomend you never talk to me again. You would seem... well... insane. No one would belive you if you said you were a soul. We can telepath. Acutally I'm telepathing right now. You, now that you are awakened, can telepath with any guide. You will also see them. We'll practice telepathing later. You should never tell anyone that you are a guided soul unless you know them very well. They will want things. They think that guided souls are gods or something." Julia nodded, still surprised, but then she managed to get some words out. "So no one else can see you?" Iris said, "You know the answer to that." Julila paused before asking "So how do I telepath?" "It is surprisingly easy." answered Iris. "Just direct the thoughts in your head into mine." Julia consetrated on Iris's brain and then thought: Is this working? "Yes it is, you don't have to try so hard, though." Iris answered her. It really seemed to Julia that she was speaking. But Julia knew she wasn't. Sound was avalible to everyone to hear. Then Julia casulally thought like this? Iris smiled and said "Perfect." Then they walked for the rest of the day. When it was night Julia slept in a small clearing. I ris had explained that guides don't need to sleep or eat. Before she dropped off Julia thought about how much her life had changed in just one day. When she woke up she was a child pushed out of a home, unwanted. By the time she fell asleep she was an awakened soul, with a guide, a person of legend, out to change the world.

The culprate would be Amari, who, on top of being the Mother of all gods, is goddess of the Weather.)) When, finally, they reached a clearing, Maio sat down with a happy, noiseless sigh. He looked at Kaiira who leaned against a dead tree, smiled, and signed, Once again, thank you!Looking into those innocent blue-green eyes, Kaiira couldn't help but smile. This was one of the good things about being a guide, she guessed. You were aware of all the things you missed out in your previous life, but at least you helped someone else live through their tough times, and make them happy. Maybe Kuiriu made it so not only the Souls learn from us, she thought, maybe he wanted us to learn from them too.Maio had already found a bundle of sticks and was now starting a fire. When that was done, he dug through his pack and took out a loaf of bread. Breaking it in half, he offered one to Kaiira. She shook her head, smiling ever-so-slightly. "You never learn, do you? I don't eat. Neither do I sleep." Maio smiled a bit, put the bread down and signed, Forgetful me.

"You should really practice telepathing," Thaine said to Kairon after a while.
"I like talking, okay?" said Kairon. "Makes me feel wierd when I think something to someone else and they know what that thought is."
Thaine sighed. Soon, they reached a clearing where a man and a woman were camping out. Thaine could tell the woman was a Guide. He stepped out. "Mind if we join you two?" he asked.
Kairon, not wanting anyone to see him talk to himself, decided to telepath for once. You know they can't hear you, Thaine.
"Yes they can," Thaine answered. "The woman is a guide, the man a soul. Isn't that right?" He turned to the two.

Maio smiled and nodded. Finally another Soul! We've been searching for some for quite a while. he telepathed, since he assumed the two newcomers didn't know sign language.
"I knew there were some more of us in this forest." said Kaiira, silver eyes gazing at the fire. "But there's more...You feel that way too, right?" She looked at Thaine.

"Yes," said Thaine. "I feel this soul is newly awakened..."
"Guess they better nename this place the 'Forest Where You Find Souls and Guides,'" said Kairon, sitting down. He could tell this guy was probably deaf, so grudgingly, he telepathed. Mind if I have some food? he asked.

Not at all, replied Maio, handing Kairon half of his loaf of bread and starting to munch on the other.
So, Kaiira, we're headed for WernWood after? he then asked.
Kaiira nodded. "Where are you guys headed?" she asked Thaine.

"No where I guess," said Kairon.
Thaine sighed. "I was simply showing him the woods. We planned to go to the town of Thayin when we were done."

"What the heck is she talking about?" muttered Kairon.
Thaine sighed. "I'll have to teach you that lesson later," he said. He turned to Kaiira. "Yes, I am aware of that."
