"Wake up." Iris was staring Julia in the face. Julia got up groning. I'm hungry she said. "We'll eat later. Follow me." Where are we going? "There are some people I want you to meet." Then Iris started walking. Why the rush? Julia was tired. She hadn't eaten in a while. But Iris was in a hurry. Iris was worried that Julia hadn't had enough time to adjust to being an awakened soul. But it was important that all the souls get together. Iris couldn't miss the oppertunity. It was hard to find guides. If she lost them now it would be hard to find more. "Just hurry up." Finally they reached the campsite. Julia said "Hi my name is Julia." Iris didn't say anything. Julia had to find out that these people were guides and souls her self.

"Ah, there they are," said Thaine. "You are a guide, correct?" he asked Iris. "And you," he turned to Julia, "are a soul? I am Thaine, a guide, and this is my soul, Kairon."
"Nice of you to join the guide/soul party," said Kairon.

Without even thinking, Maio started speaking in sign language; he was tired, and was used to speaking in sign language, since he had been traveling so long with Kaiira as his only companion. Pleased to meet you, Julia. My name is Maio.
"He says he's pleased to meet you and that his name is Maio. And please, try to telepath from now on, Maio. They don't know sign language." said Kaiira. "I'm Kaiira, his Guide."
Oh, sorry. I forgot. telepathed Maio.
"And if you were all wondering why he never speaks out loud, well, Maio's mute."
There are some inconvenients to it, said Maio, but for stealth it's great.

"Nice to meet you all." Said Julia, "This is Iris, my guide. Could I have some food? I haven't eaten in a while."

Kairon searched his pack. He took out an apple and tossed it at Julia. "Sorry, that's all I can spare at the moment," he said.

Kaiira sighed and gazed back at the fire. "I don't know about you guys, but Maio, you better go to bed; I'm not going to let you whine tomorrow if you don't get enough sleep."
As if I would whine. Maio however nodded, then started looking through his bag for his bedroll. He spread it on the ground and crawled into it. He closed his eyes and fell asleep.
Kaiira sighed and sat down, staring up at the stars. It was finally happening; the souls were beginning to get together, soon about to save the world...She had waited for this ever since she had first become Maio's Guide, when he came into the living world.
She didn't know why he got his Guide at birth, and why some others got theirs later on. Supposedly, Kuiriu thought it preferable for certain ones to grow a bit before starting their Soul life.
Perhaps Maio had needed her ever since his birth; since he was born mute, communicating with others was hard. Kaiira had been the only one to understand what he meant when he tried to speak, unsuccessfully. Being voiceless had also made it harder for him to understand what others meant. How can you understand something you can't do yourself? Kaiira had spent numerous hours teaching him to telepath and speak in sign language, and that at a very young age.
She had also spent some time teaching him how to handle twin blades, her weapon of choice. She had wanted to give him her own blades, Alima and Fleta, but, apparently, they had gone from Strong and Swift to Invisible and Ghostly, just like her. Instead, she had to do with blades he had bought himself, which he had dubbed Keein and Mahalia, the Brave and Powerful.
But if that was why she was his Guide, then what about now? He had grown, and was now able to telepath and sign fluently, and how to use Keein and Mahalia with great skill; was that all she had to teach him? Kaiira didn't know. Were Guides separated from their Souls after they had taught them all they needed to learn?
She sighed. The gods above might be powerful, but they were definitely too vague.
((Blah...Sorry for the rambling...In short: Maio go to sleep, Kaiira think about what she taught him, Kaiira wonder if she's finished teaching him, Kaiira frustrated at the vagueness of the gods.))

(That's okay, I like longer posts in RP's once in a while.)
"You should be getting to sleep as well, Kairon," said Thaine.
"I don't believe in sleep," said Kairon. "Makes you put your guard down."
Thaine sighed. "You know I don't need sleep," said Thaine. "I can watch over you."
Kairon sighed. "If it makes yoyu happy, I'll rest my eyes, but I won't sleep." However, once he closed his eyes, he dosed off and went to sleep in a matter of minutes. Thaine smiled.

Julia fell asleep as well. She figured it was time. And she was tired. She had already finished the apple. Iris watched over the souls with the other Guides. She also thought about her soul. She didn't know how to defend or attack. Julia had some knolage of how to use the bow but other than that she couldn't do much. There was probably travleing to be done. Julia was only young. She couldn't travel and train. And she had just had a tragity. Iris looked at Julia, sleeping. Her mouth was forming words but not makeing any sound. "Mother, no. Don't leave me." Julia said siletly. To much was changeing. She would have to adapt fast.

Morning came too soon for Kaiira's liking. Had it been her choice, the sun would have hidden its head for another three or four hours, enough time to come up with some kind of plan for the future. But only the All-Powerful Amari decided when the sun rose.
Maio rose, as usual, a little before sunrise. He didn't eat; he was never hungry in the morning.
"We'll have to decide on our destination," said Kaiira to the others.

Thaine awoke Kairon; his soul was a heavy sleeper. Kairon groaned and sat up. "Dawn already?" he sighed.
"Perhaps we should go somewhere big, with lots of people," said Thaine. "There's more of a chance that we'll find another soul with his or her guide."

"Or a Dormant Soul." said Kaiira. "That sounds like a good plan; the only thing we'll have to be careful about is keep our Souls from talking out loud or Signing; we wouldn't want people thinking they're crackpots who talk to themselves."

"Don't worry," sighed Kairon, stretching. "I may not like telepathing, but I do it in public, anyway."

Julia woke up last. The others moveing about woke her. "We should talk amognst us though. It would seem weird if we were traveling together and not talking."
