Thawheneb looked surprised, not many things could bring even the slightest trace of surprise to his face, but this was one of those things. He shook his head in an attempt to wipe the surprise from his face, though failing miserably at it. "I wish you would have told me this Diae." he said as if he was addressing an old friend, which he was. "If I had known I would have had more men escorting the caravan to protect it." He rubbed his forehead. "You know what those bloody surface scum Light Elves believe. They think the symbol of his family is symbolic of what he amy do." He paused for a moment, "I will bring him back alive, but I cannot promise that my men will feel the same way I do about obeying your orders Diae." A soldier rushed up the halls, whispering something into the General's ear he took a step back. "What!" the General roared, spinning on his heel as sharp talons appeared from his finger, one of the powers of his clan, as he slashed the soldier across the face, causing blood to pour from his cheek. "Why did you waste to time to inform me that the Light Elves are attacking me before ordering our men to defned?" he snarled, seeing him shake in fear. "Go and do it!" he roared watching as the man jumped and ran down the hallway. "Worthless coward." the Drow General spat. "I hope you die by your own sword." * * * * Theningwanur looked at Chris. "We shall go to Griswah, the capitol of my people where the importance of these events will be explained to you." he looked at the boy. "What is your name boy?" "William." he replied, looking at the Elf curiously. "William Hjary." the Elven rider said, a brief smile came to hs face. "Your mother chose your name wisely."

Diae stared at his for a moment then diverted her eyes to a tapestry on the opposite wall.
"Actually Thawheneb...What they believe it correct. And that's why I want him here alive...."
She bit her bottom lip and bolted upright.
"Go tend to your troops!" she shouted. The door slamming shut at her will.
Diae stumbled up to her windowsill watching her ever-starry sky. She knew what that boy could do and it threatened the very existance of her people. As Lady of the Dark Ones fear was an extremely rare emotion. Yet, she felt it tying a knot in her black heart.

Thawheneb nodded and ran to the walls. He snarled as he saw a huge Light Elven army marching towards the castle, unprepared for the Drow's dark battle plan. "Fire the first volley of arrows. Then launch the flaming warrior." he said, knowing his command would be carried out within seconds.

Lady Diae slowly pulled herself together and slowly opened her door and made it down and up a few sets of large spiral staircases. She looked out onto the Grand Balcony where the fierce beginnings of battle were going underway. Suddenly a fierce rage arrupted in her at the simple sight of the horde of the Light Elves advancing towards her castle.
Diae tore open the chain curtains of the balcony and stormed up next to her general.
"General Thawheneb I'll take care of these cockroaches!"
She shoved some of her men aside and stood high up on the ledge as her dark hair twisted wildly in hte wind and her pupils began to glow white.
Slowly she raised her hands high above her head, indestructable to the arrows from below and took in a deep breath. There was a brief awkward silence and she stood gathering her energies.
Finally she let out a long breath and her hands thrusted forward. A large dark dome laced with white lightening materialized and blasted down at the troops below.
Not caring to admire her damage she paced away slowly back towards the iron curtains...

((Ooh, cool. Powerful little Drow Diae is.)) Thawheneb watched all of this without so much as a word, he had seen her use such power before, and was not surprised at her usig it again to vaparize Light Elves. He shrugged, it didn't matter to him, either way the Light Elves would face slaughter at the hands of the Drow. He watched the dome vanish as the last of the Light Elves screams ended. He looked over at his men, who were amazed at the power Diae had. He shook his head, their gazes had followed her as she had left the wall. "Pay attention to the field!" the General yelled, "Their could be more of these fools waiting for the moment of our distraction, seeing no one pay attention to his order he drew his sword and cut off the head of the nearest Drow, letting dark blood spill at his feet. "The field!" he yelled, this time they all turned to gaze at the field, knowing that their fate could be the same as the one who's life the General had ended. Thawheneb sheathed his sword, snarling at his men. They no longer knew what it meant to be true Drow warriors as had the ones who had originall destroyed Hjary, of which he was. He walked through the iron curtain, into the chambers of his friend. "Diae," he said quietly, "for you to use such a display of power means that it wasn't simply hatred of the Light Elves, a hatred we all share." he paused and scratched his chin, a disturbing image entering his mind. "That was the Army that killed your Father wasn't it?" * * * * "Not far." Theningwanur replied, "Maybe two our three hours walk from here, maybe more." he shrugged, "But we must get there, for I fear that the Drow will begin to send their Armies into the forest to find us. More importantly the boy."

Diae layed down upon her cushions once again trying the hardest she could to restrain the lump in her throat as a small tear swelled in her clenched eyes.
It had been the most horrible night of her existance. The sky was a deep grey of a stormy dusk and rain slowly fell over the land. And there, on the great stone steps of the Dark Elven palace, bleeding, stabbed and beaten, lay the man who had been her father, King Marsethius. Surrounding his body were a horde of Light Elven soldiers cheering their victory.
She was barely 1400 years old at the time and was watching and sobbing helplessly from the large wide window about 6 stories up from where he fell. A small group of Light Elf soldiers stood there with the small girl in grasp, preparing to throw her down next.
Diae had been rescued only seconds before her descend by the Drow soldiers, but many were lost in the process in saving the last heir. From that day forward she would remember and loathe the army that took her father's life. They all wore a yellow sun painted to their breast armour unlike the other corp of the Light Elves. Diae swore to avenge her family and all of her people that were lost in the feud.
Diae tried without success to shake the memory from her mind and stared up at her general with teary eyes and nodded.
"Yes, it was them. And after over 2500 years of being held in a temporary death they've returned hoping our defenses would be weakened. But now that they're gone I feel no victory or sense of pleasure. Because I can't rest until every one of those cockroaches are lifeless and buried in large tight pits in the ground! Better yet let's just forget the slaughter and bury them alive!"
Furiously she grabbed a small glass figurine from her side table and chucked it at the other wall smashing it into oblivion. Crying out in anguish she flung herself down hugging a pillow and sobbing into the fabric.

(Now I am surprised at how deep Diae is in emotions. It seems every post that character surprises me in some way... Okay, now when should I bring my character back into the RP...)

((Hm. I sense a possible alliance.)) Arajay shrugged again. "Look, I was in this to save a defensless dying slave, not to be an unwitting pawn in restoring some foretold king or rubbish like that. Can I leave?"

((Hmm. Methinks it's time to throw in another character))
A small light elven girl no older than 7 with all the bright and pure features of her kind scurried out from the bushes where she was and beside the healer and stared at the boy with wide-eyes now that she had a closer look.
"Uncle Theningwanur is that really a human?" Tessa said shyly yet in a high pitch clutching her uncle's hand. "I've never seen one. They're so much like us. Can I join you and others and go to Griswah? Please!?"
