(7 years old? I think that'd be even younger for an elf than a human. There's not much you can do with such a young character reguardless of species, but I suppose you can at least do some social stuff...)

Chris jumps slightly as the elf pops out. Then relaxes as he sees her talking to Theningwanur.

(I have a character, but he sort of slipped away into the woods. He'll come back eventually, but for now it's pretty much a mystery, even to me, what his wherabouts are.)

Thawheneb looked at his Queen, withholding the pitty that came to his eyes when he saw her like this, which had only happend once, on the day of her father's murder. Rushing down the stairs of the palace were young Thawheneb's parents leading the company of Drow warriors to rescue their heir. In the small halways of the palace that lead to the entrance the Drow attacked the Light Elves, losing several of their own in the first moments of the rescue attempt.
In what seemed like an eternity the battle ended, many Drow lay on the floor, including Thawheneb's parents, their blood pooling on the floor as the remaining Drow warriors led the young Diae away. Diae was not the only one who had burned the symbols of the murderers into their minds, for Thawheneb had done it also as he walked down from the Central sections. He had seen his parents laying lifeless on the floor, and that had sealed his fate, a hatred forming in his heart, and turning it forever into stone.Thawheneb too, had his own reasons to hate the Light Elven Army of the Sun, he just didn't show it in the displays of power Diae did. Slowly he walked over to his friend and put his hand on her shoulder, attempting to comfort her when his own sadness was very near the surface. * * * * Theningwanur smiled at his niece, "Yes Tessa, he is a human." he said, "But he is not the average one, he is on of the Line of Hjary." Theningwanur looked up at Arajary. "You may go if you wish." he said, "But the moment you step out of this forest you will have two legions of Drow to deal with." He paused, realizing he hadn't yet addressed the Drow who had participated in the rescue. "Bo'qin da!" shouted a Light Elf, as he notice the Drow standing with the party, which he embarrassingly hadn't realized as there before. Bows snapped up, arrows pulled back on the string, but before a single shot could be fire Theningwnaur stopped it. "She'qh hes!" he shouted, as soon as the bows had gone up they went down, though not without a fair amount of confusion. Thenin had just called this Drow a friend! Was he crazy, he could be put to death for a declaration like that. Thenin shook his head, "He defected, he helped us save the boy." he said. The Elven warriors nodded and walked away, still confused but understanding why he had called the Drow a friend. William looked at Chris. "I can." he said, "I just don't want to run into any more Drow." Theningwanur turned to looked at the Drow. "I understand the risks you have taken today." he began, "And I thank you for taking them, without your help, even with an army here, I doubt we could have successfully rescued William." he paused for a moment, "What is your name?" he asked.

Arajay shrugged. "Exacting justice is much more my thing than helping legendary rulers claim their throne. Come Xi." The cat leapt down and padded alongside Arajay as she headed away from the forest.

Diae immeadiately forgot her common courtesy and flung her arms around Thawheneb's chest as small tears fell and steamed upon his armor. The memory of watching her beloved father drop amoung Elven blades and coming so close to the same fate always drove searing blades of anguish and hatred through her heart. Finally she puller herself together and sat up wiping down her tear-stanied face with one of her billowy sleeves. "I'm sorry General Thawheneb. But it's beyond the meaning of words to explain. You're over 600 years my elder and even I should respect that." she said as calmly as possible. Slowly she rose from her seat and moved over to a cabinet and unlocking it at her will. From it she drew her sword the Dark Blade of Seraphims. A deadly weapon laced fully with indestructable steel and the trademark poisons of the Drow. Diae secured it onto her belt and began gathering other magical entities of choice. "If we are going to put those cockroaches to rest and remove that boy from their grasp I wish to be at the heart of it. I want you to met me at the front gates in exactley one hour. Gather our best slaves and soldiers but make sure they're fairly young. I don't want to loose the accurse'd ones from the time of Hjary as yourself." Diae instructed with a trace of a snarl and forgetting decency stripped herself down and dressed herself with proper clothing of combat. ********* Tessa squealed and clutched a nearby tree and looking up fearfully as the Drow warrior strode past her. All she had ever been taught is to fear and hate the Dark Ones but none of the children dared quesrion why. The great academies of the Light Elves were adourned with tapestries of great heroes, artists and especailly battles and war between the Elves. Numerous times she had snuck into chambers where she wasn't allowed and seen unforegettable images of blood and blades from the dark skinned monsters. She rushed over and clung to her uncle's leg once again and looked up at him with large teary eyes. "Please uncle bring me too! It's safe from Drow in Griswah right?! Oh please please please don't leave me here!"
