Dragus and Draco run through the front gates before the guards could even see what happened.
Dragus quickly takes off his coat and calls out, "It's only me," he holds up his arm to show the knights crest on his sleeve, "And he's with me!"
They run and catch up with Rayce, Cyborg, Rose and Esme. Walking now behind them, and Dragus putting his coat back on. Dragus is the only one to to talk while Draco remains silent.
"We were camped out behind the castle and didn't see anything. We just decided to check the front when we saw all of you enter."

Getting up and stretching slightly, Shoi followed Vyt and Cat Assassin towards what he assumed must be Castle Kestrel, his eyes glimmering slightly with silver light as he observed both planes at once for signs of the enemy.
---------------------------------------------------
There, on the spiritual plane, were tendrils. Black, grasping tendrils. Tendrils wrapped tightly around the soul of the one called Vincent, tendrils penetrated deeply into that soul, a soul nearly as black as the tendrils itself and nearly wholly possessed in every way. These tendrils all led back to the same place, to the tail end of the serpentine form of an Oni, coiled as it was upon the ashes of its body within its funerary urn, safely within the leather sack that Vincent protected with his life. The Oni was jet black save for two eyespots that glittered hematite-grey with the power it had recently feasted upon. Looking through Vincent's eyes again, the Oni swept its gaze across the courtyard of the castle, looking for signs of the relics it knew lay somewhere near. They were the next meal it sought, and the Oni knew that with with any luck there would be much more than that coming soon after.
Had it a mouth, the Oni would have grinned.

((My apologies once more.))
Vincent and his men descended upon the back of the Castle, which was less-populated with guards than by the main gate. The oblivious residents were unaware of their presence as the dark clouds hindered their own appearances. Vincent was totally glad for this.
"So, from here we meet the king..." he pondered. "Where exactly is he?"
Asking an inanimate object would've been ridiculous, and truly it was. Even the entity inside his sack could not point out where the king could be. It would only mean that they start infiltrating the castle.
The black smoke from the sack began to reside around the back door Vincent was facing. A few seconds later and it vanished without any trace whatsoever.

((Mage Manor))
PFA procrastinated on writing up an RP post listened as the others talked for a moment, before finally heading toward Castle Kestrel. PFA followed after her Father and Uncle, noting inwardly that it was starting to get rather late.
((yeah... fillerish, but can't think of much else to say XD))

((And now, let's bring in the other one.
Sorry, I'm not trying to make my characters cheap...Ro already had the ability to sense magic, if only in a general sense, and Aly being a mage has picked it up. I figured that with the run-in she's had, she should be able to recognize types of magic slightly.)) A callused hand pulled the cover up, giving the slightest shake as it did. Grimacing, Ro pulled on a vest over the light tunic she had for sleeping. She hesitated, then reached for her chainmail and sword. She didn't have anything to back it up, but she had a bad feeling about tonight, and she'd learned to listen to instinct a long time ago. It was the only remnant of magic in her bloodline she had.
Not that she was complaining. Compared to that mage, her own skills were more developed. And they weren't simply a result of luck or birth.
She had slipped her shortsword onto her belt when a cold shiver passed over her. Eyes narrowed, she quietly opened the door to her room and stepped out.
Al rey, o...
No; it would be best not to involve such an important figure until she'd figured out where the threat was. At least then, she would be able to lead others to it.
Pero, donde es...?
Well, what would come would come. With closed eyes and a second's thought, she started heading down the corridor.
((Omni, plan of action?))

((That or they're being lazy about posting. *guilty*
And not much on ideas, Michelle))
Omni watched as the men just... floated over the wall into the castle. Then two others, at least one being a Knight, entered with permission. Omni wasn't sure what to do. She wasn't a Knight, hadn't really been to the castle, didn't have magic that powerful, and her bright fur would make her easy to spot if she just flew over. She could try bending light around her, but she still wasn't very good at making herself visually undetectable, and even if the men didn't see the ripple, there were the matters of her wings making sound, as well as her being unable to see where she was going.
Pausing, she turned to the people behind her. "Any ideas on how to get in?"

((Yeah, me neither. Let's see if either of us can think of something... Well, I could be cheap. But Ro wouldn't let people into any building besides her own estate, let alone the castle. ... Let's be cheap. ^^))
"Nope, but that'll be the fun part." Aly's slight grin fell. "Lika, can you contact Ro?"
[I have no idea where she is,] the cat replied. [I could do a wide broadcasting, but knowing Ro...]
"She'd ignore it, and we'd get everyone and their mother on our tails," Aly finished with a sigh. "Alright then. We can't go through, can't go over, and going around would be too slow..."
[Under?]
"You're kidding," the girl snorted. "You want to dig a hole to the other side of the castle?"
[Well, it would certainly be interesti--] The Felyr stopped midsentence, making sure her next thought was directed to both mages. [There is a sound at the door.]
"Huh?" Aly looked over as the door opened to a flame-headed young knight. She widened her eyes in surprise, narrowed them in a mischievous look, and quickly shifted to a beaming, wide grin of pure joy as she quickly stepped towards the knight. "Why, hello there, prima! Wonderful night, right? I could just step in through the castle, but...oh, I'll need a guide through the beautiful winding halls, won't I?"
The lady knight's look of disgust couldn't have been clearer. "Ve," she ordered. "Leave."
"Nope, sorry, can't do that." Another smile. "See, there's something I'm following at the moment and I'd like to stay and talk but who knows what it's doing." She abruptly broke into a sprint past Ro, calling, "C'mon Lika, Omni!"
"Oi!" Ro shouted, reaching to grab for the girl. She jerked her hand back as a tongue of flame flared instead. "Aly!"
[You have to be kidding me...] Lika sighed and started towards the castle. [But this is the most direct route, I suppose. Coming, Omni?]
((Whee, impulsive characters. ^^ If this really doesn't work, I'll delete and think of something else. I feel like I'm writing too randomly right now and I'm tired.))

Shoi kept his head low, left hand touching the kama handle on his shoulder as he ran swiftly alongside Vyt, Cat Assassin and PFA. He was expecting trouble and he knew it could come at any time and from any direction; this was as true on the physical plane as the spiritual, although the going was noticeably rougher amongst the rocks and weeds on the way to Castle Kestrel. The three ninja were virtually silent as they glided past houses, shops, and finally the outer perimeter of the Castle, the long distance being more than offset by their mobility training.
Looking at the gate before them, Shoi crouched in the bushes along with his guildmates. "This is really not the time to be concerned with formalities - I don't want to have to convince the guards that it is in their best interest to let a trio of ninja into their castle. Time enough to forge a decent relationship after we save what will likely be their souls as well as their lives."
Shoi focused his will, and subsequently vanished in a collapsing field of silver spiritual essence. A moment later, he appeared in silvery spirit-merged form on the spiritual plane. With that, Shoi charged towards the slightly wavering spiritual aspect of the castle wall. With a firm stride, he crashed against it... and like thick jelly, the wall ruptured, allowing him through. It then quickly sealed up after him to the way it was before. He then pressed up against the other side of the wall, threw down a spirit-merged smoke bomb and crossed back to the physical plane, the silver flare concealed by the sudden appearance of the smoke from the bomb.
With a light throw, he tossed one end of a dark silk rope over the wall; it landed before PFA, Vyt and Cat Assassin.
-------------------------------------
The Oni closed its eyes, its senses expanding to encompass the entire castle. The souls of the castle inhabitants shone brightly in its mind, distracting it with hunger as it sought the greater prize nearby - the relic armaments of a king long dead and equally long forgotten. With magic already within its grasp, the Oni now sought the essence fragments trapped within that king's then-famed blade and armor, the fragments of a warrior lord's memory and glory, with which the Oni - and its host - would know battle as well as magery. It slithered upon the silvery dust that was the spiritual aspect of its ashes, anticipating what it would soon do - but where could the relics be?
Narrowing its eyeslits as it searched the corners of the castle, the Oni suddenly flared them wide open. There! Beneath the statue in the courtyard, a tomb! Its eyes narrowed once more, however, once the Oni realized that the statue was built later than the tomb... and covered the stairs completely.
"Vincent... we have a statue to destroy. Go there, for we must find what is beneath it immediately. There is our destiny, and the power for me to grant you the skill of a warrior-king!"

(Okay, guys. Revelation time.
If you've noticed, I haven't posted here for a really long time. My previous post mentioned something about my internet connection loss, but that's just half the reason.
I felt that this roleplay isn't going as well as I hope I had imagined, and I keep blaming myself for it. I can't think of what to do, and I don't want to post when I really don't know what to type in. I still feel responsible for starting the roleplay, but I don't want to spoil it with my half-baked posts.
Sorry, but I'll have to take a time-out. When I'll be well enough to post back, who knows.)

Omni didn't like the idea of breaking in rudely like that, but considering the circumstances, she figured she'd take about any chance she could get. Being faster on wing than she was on two legs, or than she was at switching to four, she leapt forward, using her wings to catch herself before she hit the ground. She beat her wings to speed forward as quickly as she could, trying not to gain too much altitude while she was at it.
As she came to the door, she folded her wings against herself so she could fit through the opening, shouting "Sorry!" as she rushed past. Now having nothing to lift herself, she tumbled unspectacularly on the floor. Once she had her bearings, she looked around the immediate area to see where Michele was.

Draco follows Dragus and the others quietly, but gets restless. When the group turns a corner he sneaks off quickly. Once away from the group he starts to look around.
"Never been in this place. I better not be caught in here without Dragus or the others."
He continues to walk around until he passes a window and looks out to see three people charge into the castle. Unsure who they were he began to backtrack to the opening of the castle.
((I've been waiting to post, but I'm not sure what to post. I've been waiting for Cyborg to post since I'm currently in his group at the moment.))971

((No problem Vyt. Now that I'm handling the Oni, I'll just run Vincent for a while until you get back. I have what I think is a pretty good plot and I will post later today with something to give people to shoot for (and at).
One issue: Vyt and Cat Assassin are with me. What should I do with them? If you could post one last time about how they bailed for now I'd appreciate it... maybe they headed back to Ninja Mountain to deal with some other issue?))
