"We?" Uncle asked in surprise. "I knew your powers all along."
"You what?" was PFA's immediate response. When the Yang elaborated that Uncle had been talking with them about her powers since that last war, PFA couldn't help but feel sort of out of the loop. If he knew, why did he have me speak with my parents rather than just telling me himself?
Regardless, her parents went on to explain her powers some more, getting up in her personal space while doing so. She nodded thoughtfully, as she tried to comprehend what they were trying to tell her.
"So you're saying... that what I do with my powers will effect what they'll become?" she asked, thinking she was starting to understand.

Draco felt a whole lot better after Shoi helped him out.
"Well than. That felt strange. I think I just need one more strange feeling and I reached my quota of strange feelings for the year!"
He shakes his head.
"I mean, sure the last one helped me, but man did that feel strange. But I have to admit, better than the first one... Now than."
He turns his head to Rose and Midknight.
"Magic might not work on him. At least not shadow magic. I've been trying to get out of this trap with it for some time now."
He infuses a kunai with shadow energy and slashes the remaining tendrils holding him where he was. The kunai only does the same amount of damage as a normal blade of it's size.
"That should have cut deeper than normal, but it did nothing."
Dragus walks up to the group now. "Did you guys catch where he was planning to go next?"
Draco only laughs at what Dragus just asked, and turned to Rose and Midknight again. "And you guys wanted to take the sack to the king. Guess what, it's being taken to him personally by a mad man with power now."

((Vyt: I assumed he didn't drain the energy of the residents because the last time he did, he got zapped. That, and I thought it would be a bit redundant and repetitive, story-wise, to have him zapped again. If you're saying he was attempting the same thing again, then he probably would have been zapped before Omni left. But hey, I don't want to have to go back and force rewrites, so let's leave it as-is.))
"SILLY CREATURE. MY WORK HERE IS ALREADY DONE. THIS PLACE IS NO LONGER USEFUL FOR MY PURPOSE."
Black smoke had been enveloping the manor, and now it faded. The men then disappeared, the Manor's aura gone.
"I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO DRAINING OUT YOUR ENERGY, HOWEVER. THAT'S WHY I WILL BE MEETING YOU BY CASTLE KESTREL."
Omni just stood there for a moment, her mouth open, her eyebrows furrowed. She slowly lifted her hands, as if to strangle something.
"Oh, come, on!" she complained with a huff. She was so close to doing something useful, and the bad guy just went and disappeared on her.
She turned to the manor, now without magic. Admittedly, even with the constant aura, she didn't think of the Manor - of the intelligent aspect that often. It was just a manor to her most of the time, just a place to live and sleep and study magic. Even so, she felt a small pang at the loss of its ability. The manor was now as vulnerable as the average building, and while it made mapping difficult, being able to teleport was a nice perk.
Don't worry, Manor, she thought, patting the wall gently. We'll get you back to normal.
She ran over to the other wall, below the flying angel-like guy. She was about to shout something, but decided to wait for Sarn to come down and just say it so she wouldn't be so easily overheard.

((Ack, Omni, you posted as I was typing. xD Also, Sarn was flying above the manor, away from the window he broke. Do you want me to wait for you to say something? *can rewrite quickly*))
There one moment, and gone the next and through it all, Sarn couldn't help but curse loudly. He wanted to shout and rage and storm, but there was no one to whom he could do these things without the feelings of guilt that would come. It was no fault of anyone here and so Sarn contented himself with shouting a violent cuss at the sky above before tilting his wings and coming to land on the soft grass.
The men had fled in a flash of billowing smoke, leaving behind a large group of assorted ninjas, mercs and knights, all looking a little worse for wear after their run-in with the miners. Disappointed as he was, Sarn couldn't let himself wallow in thoughts of their missed opportunity. Instead, he jumped and glided over to the group, landing harder than he had intended, skidded, and almost lost his balance.
He steadied himself by throwing back his wings. Looking around the group, he hadn't realised just how much fighting had been going on, and how many fighters there had been. He saw the catboy sprawled on the ground and wondered if he was alright. Despite never actually meeting him, Sarn rather liked the catboy.
"...sack to the king. Guess what, it's being taken to him personally by a mad man with power now."
Sarn only arrived as the ninja made his glib statement. A shred of panic started rising inside Sarn. No... he thought, Mage Manor is already drained of power... I have to get to Kabe. I must protect my king.
Where previously there had been Sarn the Enchanter, now the knight side of him took over. He had sworn to protect and uphold Dunburrow and its king, and now the king was in danger. He looked at the other three knights present, having completely forgot about the mages still around the manor.
"The king... I can fly there directly, the rest of you should follow as quickly as you can."
Without waiting for a reply, he swept his wings down and lifted off the ground, speeding towards Castle Kestrel... Both his homes attacked in but one night. This would not do.

Omni didn't have a real chance to say what she wanted before Sarn flew off. It didn't help that he didn't fly anybody there while he was at it, and she was pretty sure he could. She didn't particularly want to have to say it twice, and she couldn't leave Sarn out, so she figured she'd just have to wait a bit longer.
"You heard him," she told the others, beginning to crouch. "We should try to keep up. Now I don't think I could fly anyone there, but I should at least give you something else to keep track of."
And with that, she leapt forward and took off. She did her best to try to keep Sarn in her sight. It was a bit difficult, considering she rarely flew for a long distance at a time, but she continued, despite the complaints from her wings began to give.

"Exactly," Yang-Vyt patted PFA on the head like complimenting her figuring out. "Basically, you use for good as you do good, and so the same for evil. However, I am not saying that you slack off because of this."
"If you don't have the guts to explore your own powers, then it won't break out of its latency," Subila added. "So get your sorry behind up and running! You have a lot of work to do."
The last to add was Cat Assassin himself. "All these two can do are inform you of their knowledge about your powers and encourage you to keep trying to figure out what they can do. As the two halves that belong to a living person, they can't use their powers or even make physical contact with anyone on this world."
The portal behind the Yin and the Yang started to echo a deep ripping sound, signalling the two to return. Before they stepped back into the opening, they both turned their heads towards PFA.
"I'm glad we had this brief talk," Yang-Vyt smiled, his angelic wings fluttering with grace. "I've always wanted to return the favor that the mortal Vyt had done for your growth."
Subila's face was marked with a smirk. "I'm just here so you'll be more powerful. I bet that'll make the people around you jealous once they find out about it, and that means more negative energy from me!"
As the two stepped their feet across the portal and back into their own planes, the portal closed without a trace. The training room returned to normal immediately, bearing none of what briefly transpired before the reunion.

As Vincent vanished into the cloud of black smoke that surrounded him, Shoi seemed to relax as he saw Vyt returning to normal. A coruscating wave of silver light then washed over Shoi's body, leaving his body flesh and blood once more as it passed. The gash in his side had already filled in completely beforehand and he now seemed to be completely unharmed.
"Is everyone all right? Come, tell me, I have reserves enough to heal any wounds you might have. I also believe some introductions are in order..." Shoi then glared at Esme. "... and if those of you who have been attacking me would kindly stop, I think it would be in all of our best interests. We need to assess where we stand in dealing with this Oni. For all you have seen, I have seen even more on the spiritual plane, and this is a very, very serious threat we are dealing with!"
Shoi then turned to look at Mage Manor. "Drained, and in barely any time at all!" He shook his head angrily. "I can help repair the damage done to its essence later, but for now the true problem is that he will be able to use the power of that place to his advantage. We need to make sure we know what the Oni feeds on precisely, and what its weakness is. Did anyone manage to discern any of that during the fight?"

((Omni: You could say whatever's in the sack realized that, since the Manor itself wouldn't be able to do so. It learns by using whoever it controls.))
Vyt woke up to see one of Vincent's men. He was the only one around who had gotten the chance to see them back in the tavern, so he was sure about the man.
"Guys!" he shouted. "This man's still alive!"
((Because, you know, you missed him.))

((Ninja Dojo, Training Room))
PFA was just left to ponder silently as the room returned to normal. She was expecting to learn more about her powers, and she was basically told to practice and learn them on her own. Well... I suppose learning that my powers can be whatever I let them be is a good start. And at least I got to see my real parents again.
"So..." PFA spoke up to her Uncle. "What do you think we should do now? I almost feel I should be training my powers, but at the same time, I'm worried about Father..."

" Sarn, godspeed my friend." Midknight stated. " We know the way to Castle Kestral." Rose stated, before Midknight added, " Vyt, let's interrogate the man, and after, I can take you, Rose, Esme, and Cyborg with me to the castle."
" I suggest the rest of you leave now, go to Castle Kestral." Cyborg stated.
Esme looked at Shoi " Sorry, I'll stop. Now let's get this guy to talk."
Rayce looked at Vyt, " Can these four be trusted? Would you prefer me to stay here, or go to the castle now?"

Draco gets the very last of what was stuck to him off of his leg. After a quick stretch he looks at Dragus.
"Race you there."
He begins to run away towards the castle, slowly sinking into his own shadow. After a few moments only a shadow can be seen speeding away.
Dragus looks around at everyone. He bows to Vyt.
"Hope to see you soon."
He turns on his heel and runs off after Draco.

((I always wait a few days before I post someone's scene for a reason: it's to follow the time that would happen in the roleplay. Basically, the more time it takes for an action, the slower I post. It's also beneficial so the roleplay isn't rushed.
If you do want to go ahead, then pretend Vincent hasn't gone there yet. If you haven't seen me post yet, it's safe to assume))
Cat Assassin turned to PFA. "The ninja on the gate hasn't arrived to tell me that," he told her. "I am worried about him."
"We'll have to go to the tavern and find out."
----------------------------------
Vyt was still grunting about receiving different kinds of pain, which he had only started experiencing. The condition came out like a delayed side-effect of a medicine, forcing him on his knees.
Strangely, the man he had stumbled on felt the same.
"Where..." the man began to speak. "Where am I?"

((By the Cliff still gosh I'm slow))
"To Mage Manor then! Except, uh, that's sorta far to walk. How about we summon Deus?"
"Of course! Deus! Why didn't I think of that?"
Zylaa heard orchestral music floating on the breeze as Deus began his grand ascent of the water and rocks. Curious, she peered at the clifftop and noticed, yes, a full orchestra playing. The conductor spotted her looking though, and with a yelp and hasty, complicated wave of his baton, the music came to a screeching halt and the soundtrack players fled.
"That explains a lot." Zylaa turned back to Deus.
"Hello to you both! Hop on, and quickly; for I have seen the events at Mage Manor and lo, they're pretty intense."
"Hooray, we conveniently planned to go to the site of the action anyway!" Zylaa said, swinging herself onto Deus' back.
She and Goosh rode through the forest, Deus galloping gracefully through the forest, leaping with ease over fallen logs, though some branches still scraped Zylaa's head. Suddenly, mid-leap, Deus paused and sank gracefully to the ground, now pointing in a new direction.
"The conflict at the manor has ended. You can do no more. We must make our way to the castle of the Knights with all haste."
"Why aren't you galloping right now then?" Zylaa asked.
"Ever tried to gallop and make a dramatic, plot-relevant speech at the same time? When you manage it, come tell me." With that, Deus ran off into the trees again, Zylaa clinging to his neck.
As they arrived at the castle, Deus stopped, right at the edge of the wood.
"This is as far as I may take you," he said, shaking out his long, perfectly groomed mane. "For I cannot interfere with the newfound artifact."
"What??" Zylaa said. "But you're a walking personification of solving stories! How can you not help?!"
"What kind of a story would it be if it ended in eight pages?"
And with that, Deus bowed low, turned, and galloped off into the night. Zylaa stared at the space where he had been for a few seconds.
"Pages?"

((Yay for characters that can break the 4th wall ^^ Those are always fun, hence why I read Deadpool comics He knows he's a comic character^^)) Dragus runs through the trees in the direction of the castle. Two foxes joining him in his run. He has never figured out why foxes like him so much, but he never really cared if they followed or not. They've kept him company in the past on his long travels when he was away from other people. Sometimes he could even believe they understood him and that he could understand him. Than he would laugh and think how crazy he must be. "Where did that Draco go? No matter, I should just keep heading to the castle."971
