((Guys, sorry, I'm going to have to drop out. I've got too much proper work to do and it takes me about two hours to compose a decent RP post that I'm happy with. I simply don't have the time to put in such an effort, and I don't want to ruin the RP by not putting effort in. You can explain Sarn's disapperance however you want. He's a ditsy fellow so he could have got lost, maybe he got shot down, whatever. *shrugs*))

((As I'm writing this, I'm recovering from my minor headache. Until I get well, I won't be able to do any mentally-intensive work like RPing. Sorry for those who I might be stalling, but I'll make sure to get back to you all as soon as I rest up.))

((I've just been waiting for the people ahead of me to reach the castle It would be weird to get there before they did, when they left first. Actually, now that Sarn is out, only one person is ahead of me. Guess that's what happens when you have both of your own characters, together, in a spot waiting for others ))

In the forest near Castle Kestrel, Omni perched herself on a limb, not too far away from the men. She was surprised to see that they appeared to have just arrived, expecting them to have teleported instantly. One of them appeared to be talking. She got as close as she thought she could without being detected, lifted an ear, closed her eyes, and focussed on the sound.
"...You needed power so you can give out more luck for me?"
Luck? Omni thought. Seriously? Does this guy like to hang out in casinos or something? She opened her eyes and noticed he was talking to the sack. That sack again... A few ideas popped into her head, about the object in the sack and, actually, a few things she might be able to say before this struggle was over.
As much as she wanted to do something right then, she knew it would be a bad idea to approach them on her own. Sure, she was a magical swiss army knife, but she was only so good at the different magics, and her tactics were often somewhat lacking, particularly with more than one-on-one. She decided to hide and watch for awhile.

((Sorry if this seems cheap. ^^ But I want to do something sometime...And I have changed Aly a little since I last used her.))
"Li--" Aly slowed and bit her tongue, cutting off the name that she'd been about to call out. She gestured with a hand instead, starting a short but complex series of signals to the feline.
Why in that direction? the cat answered, raising an imaginary brow.
The girl frowned and tried to think of a way to convey what she wanted to say in gestures. She sighed and simply shrugged. "I don't know," she whispered finally, hoping no one was close enough to hear. "But I feel something familiar from that direction, and it's almost but not quite in the same direction as that dark magic." She grimaced. "It makes my stomach turn when I think about it."
You are quite sensitive, you know.
"I didn't ask for it and I don't like it," she retorted quietly, thinking to herself at the same time. Not to mention, I don't know how I'll react when i get close...
Lika glanced up. You're letting your emotions run loose again.
"Oh, shut it." The young mage sighed again and tried to steady her own worries, though it wasn't quite successful. "Let's go."
The two turned into a edge of a forest, navigating their way through slightly more familiar territory. Woods were nothing to the pair--it was where they'd spent most of their time together. True, it hadn't been in these forests, but Aly felt fair more at home out here than in any town she'd passed through.
This...What exactly is this? Lika inquired, swishing her tail. The girl only smiled slightly, the first look of happiness she'd had since approaching the source of the dark magic. <It's fine> she signaled, stepping forward. She made sure to wave friendlily as she approached.
A sudden wave of nausea struck the girl, and it took several seconds for the buzzing in her head to fade and her balance to recover. That's pathetic, she thought, stomach still twisting in anxiety. She must have gotten closer to the source o the dark magic than she'd realized. Was it pulsing? Or was it just her?
...Though, now that she was thinking a little straighter...why was a mage away from Mage Manor?
She signaled shortly to Lika, who only shook her head and began acting as temporary telephone. Omniscia. What exactly is going on here?
((If Omni can sense auras, then Lika's powerhouse of Fire magic shouldn't be a problem to find. So she's not sneaking up, I don't think.))

Draco and Dragus can now see the castle ahead of them. Dragus now leads the way.
"We're almost there. It's been a while since I was last here. I should have come here when I got back into the country instead of napping."
Draco smirks as he runs behind Dragus. "So instead of reporting home, you nap. What kind of knight are you?"
Dragus shakes his head, "I'm the kind of knight who travels away from home so much that he can find it relaxing to sleep in a forest he knows well. Of course I do prefer my bed. I just know that if I came straight here there would have been paper work to do, than report to the king, and than some more duties, and than sleep. So I just decided to take a nap before reporting in."
"Ok, ok, I get it. So what's the plan when we get there?"
Dragus remains silent for a few moments before he responds.
"I'm... Not sure really. Warning anyone inside would be a good idea. However we don't want to be in the castle if it gets drained like back there. At the same time we don't want something to happen to the King."
They come to a stop only a short distance away from Omni, but do not noticed her presence.

((Mage Manor))
PFA, to be honest, was surprised with how easy it was to change Father's mind. She couldn't help but wonder if his claim that "he didn't even mind" was entirely sincere.
"Yeah," she said in response to Uncle, managing a smile. She supposed it was good, at least, that Father was letting them come at all.
In response to Shoi, she added, "I don't know of any mages with that sort of magic... but perhaps if we ask around the Manor?" Turning to the other mages in the vicinity, she asked, "Or perhaps one of you know someone?"
To Midknight, she simply stated, "Yes, we should leave for the castle as quickly as possible, if we are to catch up to this Oni before it is too late."

Rayce neared the castle, when he heard a group of three he recognised. It was the grey anthro cat, the girl knight and that annoying mercenary girl.
Rose ran faster when she saw Rayce, thus the others followed suit. " Excuse me, you're one of the Ninjas correct?" Rose stated.
" Yes I am." Rayce replied.
" I suggest you stay with me, if the guards are present you might not be let in, and it's not a good idea to use force." Rose said.
" Okay." Rayce answered.
----------------------------------
((Mage Manor))
" Okay, if we shall leave now, it would be best. I can take us there quicker than foot, if you trust me grab my paws. I warn you, your first time shadow travelling might feel disorienting, but not too bad." Midknight stated, offering his paws out.

((Forest outside Knights' Castle)) Omniscia. What exactly is going on here? The voice in Omni's mind was not her own. It broke her out of her thoughts. She realized that there were a few other auras nearby, now, including a prominent fire aura. She turned to look at those behind her. She held a finger to her lips, indicating that they should be quiet, then pointed to the men in front of her. Once she thought they caught an idea of what she was pointing at, she held out a fist as if holding something, pointing underneath it to indicate the sack the leader was holding. She didn't want the men to know the magic-users were nearby. She considered waiting until they started walking away to say anything. ((On a side note, because it's been bugging and confusing me, if one person's speech spans across multiple paragraphs, and there's no 'he paused and did this' to break up the paragraphs, then the end of a paragraph leading into another should not have an ending quotation mark. This is to clarify that it's the same person speaking, and not another person continuing with something else. "Hello, I am a person. I am rambling on about some subject.
"This is another paragraph and another subject. But I am the same person speaking, so the last one doesn't have an ending quote!" he said.
Does that make sense? Also, when a different person starts speaking, a new paragraph should be started, even if you indicate who says what with names or pronouns.))

((Forest outside Knight's Castle.))
((Omni: That makes sense. ^^ It's pretty widely used in writing, right? Also, because I'm getting annoyed of indicating who's thinking what, Lika's telepathic comments will be marked with italics AND []. <> are still hand gestures (also used for Spanish if I ever do use Ro here.)))
Aly and Lika both watched the Zafara carefully, only moving and glancing away to catch sight of the men. A...something, held in hand...that's what those guys have?
[It appears to be a bag of some sort.] The Felyr frowned. [Not good...not good at all. Aly, given your vulnerabilities...]
The girl smiled slightly, though her face still looked slightly sick from being close to the sack's aura. <I'm fine,> she signaled again. <I have you with me.>
[Very well.] The next comment was to all three of the other gathered people, Lika regarding the two she'd never seen before critically. [They are looking to enter the castle, correct? What plan do we have for stopping them?]
Aly, bow still in hand, quickly pointed to the other three and made a quick motion of drawing and loosing an arrow in the men's direction. [Attack them from here while they are surprised?]
A nod.
[Can you all attack long-range?] The cat thought for a second. [And for that matter, will that even work against these men?]

Shoi shook his head. "I don't think we have the time to be asking around Mage Manor for help. We have to get over to Castle Kestrel as soon as possible. I have recovered largely from my earlier exertions and we should move out as soon as possible.".
Rising to his feet, Shoi turned towards the captured miner. "You have been through a lot, and chances are that your spirit will not long remain stable now that the Oni's presence has been removed from you. Rather than let you die, seeing as how you did not ask for this to happen to you, I will cleanse the corruption from you." Opening his hands, palms towards the miner, Shoi focused his will. His eyes flared with bright silver light as silver tendrils of glowing force sprang from his fingers, wrapping themselves around the miner completely. The tendrils then solidified into a sort of cocoon around the miner, pulsed for a few moments, and then vanished, leaving an unconscious miner on the ground.
"He will be in a coma for about a week but will awaken thereafter. He'll be in perfect health when he does - let's hope he doesn't waste it." With that, Shoi turned to the others still remaining. "Who wishes to travel with me on the Spirit Plane? It is faster and should give us an edge of surprise when we arrive."

Vyt looked at the miner as he was put to his needed rest. He pulled out a kunai with a marked sheet of paper attached to its handle. With an accurate aim at the sky, he threw it into the air where it exploded into colorful fireworks seconds later.
"If you remember this from Cat Assassin, then you'll know it's my signal. The ninjas back at the Dojo will be able to see this," Vyt stood up, finally relaxed and well. "They'll know what to do when they get here."
The catboy then looked at Shoi, puzzled. "If we surprise and agitate Vincent again, there's no knowing what he'll do. Besides, we don't want to tire you out once more after you've just recovered."
"We'll travel by foot. Trust me."
With his advanced sense of sight, Vyt looked at the tip of one of the towers from Castle Kestrel. Cat Assassin noticed what his friend was looking at, and gave a quick nod. It was as if he knew what he was thinking.
"Of course I trust you... But Vyt, start putting your trust at us as well," he promptly said.
"I'll try, Cat Assassin... I'll try."
With that, the duo started walking towards their direction.
---------------------------------------------
Midnight. The powerful darkness surrounding the castle was like the horizon out of reach for Vincent. For such a long time, he was hoping for a change in his dull and monotonous life. The stars that twinkled across the sky were tempting him to approach their place, seemingly inviting him to one that will finally grant him anything he desired. Many times had he pondered for a carefree life.
Now, he held the one that could make his wish come true.
The gate that faced Vincent and his men were closed for obvious reasons. The act was meant to keep out unwanted visitors while most of the people inside partake in an otherwise normal slumber. If Vincent were to try and infiltrate the castle via the gate, the guards that remained awake would be alerted by his presence and send out a distress alarm to dispatch of the intruder. Surely he would not want such trouble.
And for once, the sack did not like such trouble as well.
The sack began to emit the same black clouds that hovered around and all over Mage Manor earlier, but being discreet enough to provide assistance to Vincent and his men. In a matter of seconds, they were lifted off the ground and into the air as they were brought into the back of the castle.
The guards below were watching the skies then.
"Did you see something move?"
"No, I am certain that is only the night."

Draco wakes up from his sleep outside the castle. He looks over at Dragus still sleeping. With quick movement he is up and kicks Dragus.
"Get up. I think something is happening."
A little drowsy Dragus gets up and looks around, "Lets make our way down to the front gates now. It would be the best place to wait for everyone."
With that they both get up and run to the castle. Draco beginning to wonder why they camped out behind the castle.

" Well, I will see you there." Midknight closed his eyes, put his paws together, focused on Shado, and black smoke appeared around him, while he disappeared. --------------------------------- Rose, Rayce, Esme and Cyborg arrived at the castle, where they were let in by guards. " The men said about going for the king. King Kabe should be in his room by now, that's where we shall go, and I suggest you don't have your weapons out, or you may be seen as a threat by the guards." Rose stated as she, and the group continued walking, this time towards King Kabe's exquisite room.
---------------------------------- Midknight arrived in his room, next to Shado, who was fast asleep. He then left his room, towards King Kabe's room.

Hunter was one of the last few still at the manor. "Well, time to go to Castle Kestrel. Slothy!" His weewoo flew to his shoulder."We've got a long walk, so... Maybe stocking up on snacks would be a good idea?" Slothbird's response was pecking at him. "Ow, ow, okay. We'll just get going."
~~~
Dr. Lupe had decided to follow Cat Assassin and PFA in wolf form, and had heard most of the ensuing conversation. Hmm. Never been to Kestrel, he thought, with Hunter going it's no safer than here, but I can't just hide with that bag of luck traveling around to take.
((PFA and Vyt: If you're going to say CA and PFA would have noticed him, he left a while after you did, but just went to the manor after you, keeping his distance.))
