Fenrix frowned, looking at everyone. Then Cyborg. "Nothing personal, its just business. I was hired by someone named Takehiko-sama. A wealthy mob lord from my homeland of Vareli." She pulled out a large sack of gold coins. "I was already paid, so I had to do the job." She dropped to a crouch, letting Shiloh off her shoulder. He hopped down and jumped into Elcie's lap, purring. Fenrix smiled.
"Any questions humans? This is a one time thing."

Elycien frowned, absently scratching Shiloh's back. From the ground nearby, Blitz hissed, but she didn't appear to notice. "Yes, I'd like to know the same thing. I'm glad you don't seem to mean us any harm, but it could be a problem if Takehiko decides to send more assassins when he realizes you haven't killed Cyborg..."

Arista heard the group walk away. "Time to go in." she whispered to herself. Slowly she opened the door and slipped in. Shutting it softly, she shifted into a small, brown mouse, and crept closer to the open door of the large room.
Her nose caught the smell of cat in the air. The smell led her black, beady eye to the three cats in the room. Quickly, she hid behind the door frame, so she could still hear what was going on, but not be seen.

Hades followed the others into the room, leaning against in the back right corner of the room. Fenrix jumped up on to the table and started talking, ending with "Any questions, humans? This is a one time thing."
"Why aren't you trying to kill Cyborg?" Hades asked. "The rest I can understand, but why did you give up your mission?"

She shrugged. "Easy question. I work under stealth. Besides, if I killed him now. I'd have to kill you all." She jumped down and glared him in the eyes. "And I don't feel like getting blood on any of my clothes right now, its such a pain to have to clean."

"Ah. So you are going to keep trying, just not now, when you're surrounded by people who could kill you for killing him." Hades stared right back at Fenrix, challenging her. "Very nice reasoning. And I suppose that you're going to come back if we let you go. So why should we? We could just keep you here for a while, until lord whatever decides that you are either dead or that you decided not to kill him. Then, if he decides you are a traitor, he might send an assassin after you."

She frowned, she hated being challenged. "Takehiko-sama's assassins are stupid. Thats why he hired me, none of his personal pets could complete a mission. The lazy slobs." She spat on the ground in disgust. "He probably will send someone after me, even though he's dumb enough to send untrained, morons after me," She crossed her arms across her chest, leaning against the table. "As for waiting till later to kill Cyborg. I don't think I will. I already got paid, why bother? Its not like I have anything riding on his death."
Shiloh purred. "Nice thirecat, you have nice hands." He stood and licked her cheek, then jumped down, making it a point to land on Blitz's paw. "Oops." He sneered, jumping on the table, then onto Hades's shoulder.

"What makes you think he won't hire another one, if he wants Cyborg killed so badly?" Hades said as Shiloh jumped onto his shoulder. "Hello again, Shiloh," he said, reaching up to pet the cat. "What makes you stay with such a person as Fenrix?"

The vampress shrugged, "He probably will, but as I said. He'll send one of his pets. I made him paranoid of other assassins." She looked at Cyborg. "Takehiko says you owe him money or something? I wasn't really listening while he ranted about you."
Shiloh purred, rubbing his head against Hades' ear. "She's not so bad. Besides, she cared for me when I was a kit. I'm her only family, she's my only family. It evens out." He twitched his tail. "A little to the left, if you please."

Blitz hissed and spun around to snap at Shiloh's retreating tail, stopped only by his sister's firm paw on his neck. "Why'd you go and stop me, Bliz?" he growled.
"He's an ally for now, Blitzy, or at least he's not our enemy. Making him mad isn't smart. So just shut up and listen, will you?"
Incensed at her use of his kittenhood nickname (which Elycien still sometimes called him, much to his aggravation), he whisked away from her and jumped onto Elycien's lap, curling up possessively and glaring with undisguised dislike over at Shiloh.
Completely ignoring the four-legged drama, Elycien automatically began scratching behind Blitz's ears, glancing over at Fenrix. "So if we neutralized you so easily, I suppose these other assassins will be like child's play. Still..." The Thirecat looked from her to Cyborg. "Cyborg, I don't know what you had been planning before, but it will probably be safest if you stay with us for now. It's been dull around here, anyway, and some assassins will keep things interesting." She nodded at Fenrix. "So what are you going to do now?"
