A knight...That's what Jason was now. Only yesterday had he been shipped off and sent to live in the catle. What could he do? Shiny black hair blew in the wind. His silver eyes he leaned aross the edge of the castle. Noticing Nut not to far away in the distance, he waved. "Hi I'm abit new around here and you're the first person I've met other than the king. So how are you today?"he asked. With a small smile, he reached for his sword. What can I do around here, he asked himself. Unsheathing his sword, e ran his fingers up and down it.

"Lady Emma, it is a pleasure to meet you," said Kat, curtsying at the sight of a new knight. "I am Lady Kalianne Triss, originally of Fief Lunara, but you may call me Kat."
She looked around at everyone in the infirmary and made a mental count of everyone present. "I think we should let our comrades have their rest before we start badgering them even more. The healers could shoo us away so they can do their work." Kat chuckled, shrugging. "They always shoo me away, telling me I ask way too many questions that could be answered by a book on healing magic.
"Perhaps we could get breakfast now?"

The water was not as it seemed. Nut thought that out of the corner of her eye, she saw it glitter in her wake. The stream was not alone, but was it harboring danger or aid?
Her still dripping fingers suddenly turned cold, and Nut glanced down at her hand. To her surprise, she found her weapon cast in an ice miniature. Light glinted playfully off it and then it vanished. A trick of the rising sun?
Nut didn’t have time to ponder it. Two knights were coming towards her; Tirilia’s eyes were drifting to the stream. Had she seen the phantom light, too?
Nut smiled at her. She supposed she ought to say something, but before she could get a chance, the other knight waved and headed over to her. He looked nervous, not unlike Nut herself, and she learned that he was new as well. “How are you today?” he asked.
“As fine as can be. It’s a beautiful day.” Nut wondered about the stream, but it would be hard to investigate it with the other knights around. Besides, whatever had been mischievously lurking in the stream seemed to be gone now. “Should we go in and get breakfast before we miss out?”

'Breakfast sound like a good Idea. I'm starving- I could eat my dragon.' 'You wouldn't! No way, Zari.' 'I would.' retorted Zari sharply, tucking a strand of brown hair behind her ear.

Emma had been basking in the light for a few minutes-or was it hours?-and finally decided to go and eat. Either that, or her rumbling stomach was getting annoying. Everyone else seemed to have the same idea, as many were coming out of the infirmary, or heading towards the center of the castle, where she presumed breakfast was. She oveheard Kat suggesting the same thing her stomach had been since she arrived, so she offered her two cents. "I for one second that."

Tirilia covers her smile once again with a slip of dark red silk, surprised at herself for having forgotten it earlier. She quietly hopes Tamia had not noticed her rather unusual trait.
She casts a brief, scornful look towards the stream, but the unusual glitters are gone. Approaching Nut and Jason, Tirilia greets them with a lighthearted but polite tone "Good morning My Lord," she curtsies briefly to Jason and nods with a smile to Nut, "my Lady. Did I perchance overhear the word Breakfast? If so, that sounds like a wonderful idea. Do you know the way? mm perhaps not.. Follow me if you please"
She starts off, her mind dwelling on her playful friend, Aeilie the Water Spirit What could she be up to.. surely she does not want the Knights to know of her presence here yet... But reality returns and she stops "Do forgive me, I am Lady Tirilia.. the Scarlet Knight, please feel free to call me Tiri" a smile glints in her eyes and she continues off again, not seeming to care about the chilly dew on her bare feet.

Jason stopped. "Yes Ladies Tiri and Nut breakfast would be good. So how long have you all been here?"Jason asked. With a shrugg, he left. The Dark Wolf followed after him. Hmmm...This place seems better than I expected it to be, he thought with a sly grin. Turning, he began to quickly and quietly follow after Tiri.

Kit sighed to himself as Ikkin and Sev half discussed, half argued among themselves. Everyone was just so high strung for some reason. If only he knew what had happened the night before. Shade had mentioned something about demons, but what had demons got to do with anything? And something else was nagging him, there was more to last night's events than it seemed.
And then there was the recurring vision that had been coming to him as he slipped in and out of consciousness during his entire stay in the infirmary. He was holding a weapon, a serrated spear. Yet is wasn't the weapon that bothered him, it was what was written in the shaft of the weapon that bothered him the most. The most irritating thing was that he couldn't remember exactly what was written on it.
He cursed his lack of knowledge as to the events of the night before. So many questions, so few answers.
And then there was Maya's sudden disappearance. His spiritual familiar had never been gone missing without leaving him some note or at least a trace of magic. Yet this time it was as if she had just packed up and left. Or, he shuddered at this thought, it was like as if she had never existed in the first place. As much as he hated to admit it, he was worried about Maya. Still, it wasn't as if all hope was lost. There were ways of tracking down spirits, and if memory served him well, Tamia's cat had been able to sense Maya's presence. Perhaps the feline would prove of some use to him.
Not the least among his worries was also the wound he had sustained. When he first saw it, he was reminded of the horrible wounds Kristen's spear had caused her enemies who had been unfortunate enough to cross her path. Yet, it couldn't have been Kristen who had caused the wound.. right? Kristen had been missing for years, to think that she'd return only to try and kill Kit.. he couldn't accept that thought.
Kit shook his head, he needed to clear his thoughts out. First things first, he needed to get out of the infirmary, then he'd be able to get the answers he needed. Shade seemed to know a considerable deal about the incident of the night before, it would do him good to ask her about it.. once everyone else had left that is.
It seemed as if half of the castle had congregated at the infirmary. Wolf, Zari, Kat, Emma, all had found their way somehow or another to the infirmary. After a quick exchange of words, the latter two went off, mentioning something about breakfast.
Breakfast.
Kit's stomach made a rather annoying growl at the thought, reminding Kit that he hadn't had anything to eat yet. He wondered where the infirmary attendants had gone off to, it wasn't good practice to leave their patients hungry like this. After all, hunger doesn't help to speed up recovery in any way. And it made Kit all the more irritable. He hoped they wouldn't try and feed him the horrible oatmeal-esque gruel they called food in the infirmary. He had the unpleasant experience of trying it once a few months back when he was in the infirmary for a day. He had no intention of ever putting such an inedible mixture of sludge into his mouth again, no matter what they said about it being good for him.

Zaha twined around Zari's ankles, then tugged her in the direction of the hall. Zari followed her then sat down, waiting for the tables to fill before she ate so much as one bite, as was her custom. Zaha sat on her knee, purring.

The knights trickled out of the infirmary, a few mentioning breakfast. “Oh sure,” Shade muttered. “They get to go have breakfast, and what do we get? Probably a disgusting mush, for all that our stomachs are perfectly fine. It’d probably do us more good to go down to breakfast with everyone else than to stay up here. Besides, I can heal myself if I bother to. And if I don’t mind collapsing after I finish.”
Looking at the knights who were still in the room, Shade said, “I don’t suppose it would be possible to heal us and get us out of here? Because boredom is going to drive me insane if I stay here too much longer.”

"Not at all, Lady Shade," Wolf said, the corner of his mouth curling into a smile. He truly hoped that his rather formal usage of everyone's full name and title this morning wouldn't irritate anyone; after all, he was King, so was it not his duty to remain formal...? Well, perhaps, he could loosen up just a little bit more.
Wolf strolled to the far end of the infirmary and knocked his knuckles against a large, oaken door. A short moment later, a shapely woman with orange hair tied up in a bun and small, round glasses opened the door and greeted him. She stumbled back a half-step, eyes widened in disbelief that the King had knocked upon her door; she blinked for a moment, but then she collected herself, bowed, and said, "May I be of service, your Majesty?"
Wolf couldn't keep from smiling gaily as he watched the woman rise back to face him, her eyes looking everywhere except at his. "Yes," Wolf said, "you may assist me." He took my a step back and to the side, motioning with his right arm towards Lady Shade and Sir Kit in their cots, "my Knights here need to be tended to as soon as possible. It is very important that they are fit for breakfast this morning."
"Breakfast?" the healer, whom Wolf believed was named Madam Esmerta, mumbled, glancing up at a large grandfather clock nearby that showed it was nearing six-thirty in the morning and knowing that breakfast was officially begun at seven. She hummed nervously a bit, but then wove her eyes over the injured knights (she couldn't honestly recall admitting them) and then drawing her eyes back to her king. "Very well, then; I shall get to it immediately and they shall be ready for breakfast, you have my word."
Wolf continued grinning as he watched Madam Esmerta approach the two knights and, standing between their beds, ask, "What is it that you two need tending to this morn?" (( Kit, Shade, you may "godmode" Esmerta as needed to tend to your individual ailments. *wink wink* ))

“I need my leg mended,” Shade said. “I can heal myself, but I’ll be exhausted afterward. If you have a potion that’ll give me more energy after I finish, that’s all I need. If not, then just bind it as best you can and give me some form of support; I’ll make it to the Great Hall.” I hope.
The woman smiled. “A potion? I’m sure we have one somewhere, but I could assist you somewhat, which would, in all likelihood, help more than a potion.” Shade smiled at her. “Yes, that would help. If you don’t mind, I’d like to get this over with now, so when I’m about to collapse, can you take over? Unless you don’t think I need help, which is possible.” Without waiting for a reply, Shade took a deep breath, closing her eyes.
One hand lay on her leg, the other she used for support as she wove magic through her broken leg, slowly repairing it. What did this? It didn’t seem quite like the blow her mind said she had experienced, but it was close. If the bruises weren’t all on one side, she would’ve put the differences down to not knowing enough about broken bones. But the bruises were all on one side, not all around…
Shade tried to ignore the bruises. They could be dealt with later, and concentrating on them sapped her energy. The bone and what connected to it were what was important, not what was on the skin. “Savucu,” she whispered, feeling the sword vibrate. It flowed down her leg, an unsettling sight for those who didn’t know the sword, and settled over her hand, coating both it and the broken leg.
It seemed to seep through her flesh, binding around the bone her magic held in place, fusing it together in a way that Shade didn’t understand, but was grateful for, as it made her work much easier. As the bronze retreated, she could feel a thin band of coolness where the break had been, and where Savucu had touched.
The retreat of her sword finished the work she had started, making sure that nothing else was damaged except what could heal on its own. Such as the bruises. Which, as Shade came out of the trance she had put herself in, still hurt, though not badly. Savucu returned to its normal state, and Shade sheathed it, moving so that she was sitting on the edge of her bed. “I guess I won’t need your help after all,” she said to the healer, smiling. Yes, she was tired, but no more so than if she had stayed up the whole night, which was quite a bit better than she had expected, even with Savucu’s help.
((Right. From when Shade starts healing herself until she finishes takes at least ten minutes. Feel free to do whatever during those, as Shade’s just going to be sitting there healing herself.
And I’m using Savucu as a Dues ex Machina way too much. I should stop doing that. Oh well.))

Madam Esmerta nodded to the Knight and ran off to grab a glass goblet and one of the healing potions they had imported from a guild a day's ride away that practiced in the magical arts; they had only a few bottles left, but the supply would almost certainly last until their next shipment came in.
When she ran back towards the knight, she saw her bronze sword melt and flow over her flesh like water. The healer gasped, the glass slipping from her hand as it flew to cover her opened mouth; the glass hit the floor and shattered, the viscous red potion inside it splattering against the dark grey, stone-cold floor.
"I... I'll get that," she muttered absently as she bent down, pulling a rag from her apron, her eyes constantly glued to the knight, and began gathering the glass pieces and drying up the potion. When she was finished with that, Esmerta rushed to grab a broom and a dust pan and then swept of the glass before depositing it in the trash, returning her tools, and then washing her hands once again.
Retrieving another glass- this one shaped from pewter and not prone to shattering --she filled it with more of the potion and carried it back to the knight, who by this time was no longer covered in her molten bronze sword.
"Here you go," Esmerta said kindly and placed the goblet on the small table beside the knight.
Turning to the second knight, quite a handsome man who tickled her fancy, she blushed lightly and said, "How may I help you, Sir?"

"Thank you," Shade said, drinking the liquid. It tasted better than most potions she had had, and it both healed her and restored her energy. She was more rested, though still not as much as she had been before she had healed herself. Her bruises had faded as well, leaving Shade in her normal state of semi-tired and slightly injured. She grinned, changing position to sit cross-legged on the bed, facing Kit and the healer.

Sev appeared to be far too happy about the fact that he wouldn't have to heal anyone. Ikkin glared at him for being selfish, and he just turned away. She sighed. Why did the phoenix insist on being so troublesome sometimes?
She was free to go down to breakfast now, but she stayed behind, intending to wait until Kit was healed and go with him. She wasn't sure what had happened, but she was sure that she wanted to stay with Kit right now.
Of course... she probably needed an excuse for that. So, she apologized for Sev to try to get a conversation going. "Sorry I couldn't convince Sev to heal you earlier... If the healer doesn't do as good of a job as him, I'm going to make him set you right."
Speaking of the healer... why was she taking so long, if Shade was doing most of her healing herself? If she took any longer, Ikkin might have to force Sev to help anyway. She would if Kit asked. She didn't like seeing him in pain.
Her thoughts were wasted as the healer quickly made her way over and asked "How may I help you, Sir?" to Kit with a blush. Ikkin had to hold back a bit of a growl. She wasn't exactly why she should be so protective of Kit, but that didn't make her any happier that someone else should be blushing because of him.
