Shade had begun ignoring SILE, as well as most other things, by the time the cat actually said something relevant. Shaking herself out of her memories, since she had been trying once again to figure out what had happened yesterday, she started paying attention at the mention of Zari's name. "She doesn't need to tell us where she's going," Shade said. "In fact, there's no reason for her to do so, if she's not doing something we'd care about."
The door behind them suddenly rang with noise, and the muffled sound of someone shouting for Wolf filled the air. Shade looked at the others. "I suppose we should find out who that is," she said, turning to face the door. "I, however, do not wish to be the one to open the door."

Finding Zaha, the stranger gave his story. "My name is Sir Bacon of New Hamm, located in Riasa-Calleo. I am the last knight of the Order of the Porc. I seek an audience with your king, to warn him of my attacker's coming. It may not be soon... it may be far in the future, but he will come. I must speak with your king!" Bacon insisted. Lyardel stamped his foot, as though for emphasis on the point.

'Oy Ve- Zari! Back already?' Zaha turned to greet the Crimson Knight, who narrowed her eyes. 'Porc...The King is inside.' Zari brough out a set of keys and set to work unlocking the various bolts that kept the door shut. As far as she knew, most of the knights had a key to the doors. The door swung open. Obviously the group hadn't moved far. 'Well then, Sir Bacon, the ing's right over thataway. Be careful, If you try something my dagger'll go between your ribs before you can say splat.' Zari strode towards her fellow Knights. 'It appears there's some Sir Bacond wanting to speak to you, my Lord Wolf. Zaha found him bawling something about urgent messages and banging on the door. It was a nice door too. What a shame.' Zaha, following Zari, froze at this comment. It wasn't like Zari to be humorous.

Bacon said, when he found King Wolf, "Your Highness, Lord Wolf! My land has heard many tales of your exploits. Sadly, said land has been raided and pillaged, and I'm afraid yours will be next. My fellow knights fell to this threat, and I would fight alongside you if it meant a chance for vengeance. Please do not turn my offer down, for I cannot fight him alone."
He didn't think to get off his horse, who looked curiously at the interior of the dwellings of men.

Zari frowned at Bacon. 'Ay. Just when we'd got rid of some other menace that so chose to strike on our Kings coranation day, we have another. It's like we're a magnet for such.' She scowled. 'Also, I heard from an acquaintance in the city there's trouble from down South too. 'T so appears that many would jump at the chance to weaken our country while our king is still new to his throne. I've seen it happen, in Xenam, out neighbour in the west.' she scratched the side of her head, biting her lip.
((Ay= Krahian expression of annoyance. Pronounced 'Ey-eh'))

((Psst, Zari. We don't know what happened on the day of Wolf's coronation, which was yesterday in the roleplay.))
"Who are you?" Shade asked, hand falling to her sword. "How do we know you tell the truth?"

Bacon frowned at Shade. "As I said, my name is Sir Bacon, Knight of the Porc. What reason would I have to lie? If assassination is your accusation, only a fool would try to kill someone while obviously well-trained protectors such as yourselves are nearby."

((She is referring to the loss of memory as a menace. I'll have to modify it))
'Well trained protectors can be little of a match for a well trained assasain.' Zaris hand went to the scarf tied around her waste, where an ruby dagger was sheathed, hidden In the folds, alongside a much more visible sword.

"Forgive my sudden interruption, but I must say that Sir Bacon had just informed us of information rooting from the truth", SILE butted in, trying to prevent a heated argument from happening. She reached out for his chest and gently placed her hand near his heart. Suddenly, the sound of his heartbeats echoed around the place. "His life patterns show no signs of doubt and falsehood. If Sir Bacon does try and spit out a despicable lie to convince us, his heart would have followed an irregular beat interval", she explained. As of that time, the echo of his heart followed a normal beating rate. ((If Bacon did lie, I already have something to cover up. ))

"You had not introduced yourself to us yet," Shade said, returning to a more relaxed stance. "And one can never be too safe. If you were an assassin, I do not think that all of us combined could stop you from slaying Lord Wolf. Yes, we could capture of kill you afterwards, but not prevent you from doing the deed." Shade shook her head, brushing her hair away from her eyes. "Never mind. But would you mind dismounting? It is a bit of an annoyance, needing to look up to see you."

'What- Oh, yes. You're making marks on the carpet. Plus my wings are iching and I don't want to startle your horse by spreading them.'

"Icth!" Emma called, walking towards the entrance hall. She figured Icth had headed outside, if anywhere. He had never been fond of enclosed spaces. As soon as she came in sight, the shaggy dog ran up to her, looking worried. "What's wrong?"
There was a congregation of knights in the center of the hall. They looked like they were in the middle of a discussion of some sort. Emma spied a cat - probably what had gotten Icth so excited. She didn't think he'd ever seen one before. "It's just a cat, Icth. Now, don't go wandering off without me anymore, you hear? I don't want any trouble with you, or else I'll send you back home to Da and have him deal with you. I'm a knight now, and I can't have you messing about."
The dog whimpered, lowered his tail and ears in defeat. He knew she meant what she had said. Emma grabbed him by the scruff of his neck, walked over to the group of knights. She stood at the edge of the group, and saw some newcomers. Quietly, she introduced herself. "Excuse me. I'm Lady Emma, Sangria Knight. I don't recognize some of you - are you also new to us?" Lady Emma. It felt so unusal, awkward to introduce herself this way. I'd better get used to it, she thought, surveying the unfamiliar faces.

Zaha flicked an ear at Emma. 'So it was your dog.' she said simply, washing one sable paw.

"Apologies, fair knights." Bacon said, hopping off his horse, retreiving his octo-axe from the back of the saddle as he did so. "I have journeyed long, and my mind is not sharp. Could somebody direct me to the stables?" Turning briefly to Emma, he said, once more, "My name is Sir Bacon, my Lady." ((I think I misspelled "journeyed". Oh well, maybe it's just an accent. ^_^; )

Zari shook out her wings, then stretched. 'Stables that way, Sir Bacon. I am Lady Zari Ailden, Crimson Knight, and this feline to my Right is Zahaere Emaya, or Zaha.'
