"The flight of the kestrel means nothing, Jonathan..." SILE breathed out. "... But the soaring of the avian in mid-air forces any witness to create any superstition he can associate with. As much as fallacy is concerned, we are not to mingle with the truth behind its simple yet awe-inspiring flight..."
The kestrel reminded SILE of herself back in her own world. Everyone back there was so intrigued with her sudden appearance that some were forced to believe she was a goddess. The pink cat did have powers to "prove" the fact, but how she got them was unnatural. She was just an average cat forced to crown herself as one of the, if not most, powerful beings back then.

'SILE, you must not have been in Dunburrow for long. We have much...problems here. Like the fact none of us remember very much sbout yesterday.' Zari stared at the ground as though she could find answers there.'

"It means something, Sile," Shade said quietly. "This castle was named after the Kestrel, after all. And if it called the night, does that mean that darkness is coming? Or was it already here? Other than that, I don't have any idea what it could mean." She shrugged. "I'll go find Kit, m'Lord, if you want to ask him about it."

Troubled, SILE looked at Shade. She eventually realized she was living in another world with another culture and another set of beliefs. The pink cat became mum towards Shade upon deeper thinking.
Still looking at the horizon, SILE started to change topic. "Have our supposed re-entry in this castle been abruptly halted by the earlier scene?" she asked. "However astonishing and of rare occurrence it might be, should we be going before any more strange and possibly dangerous events touch our state?"

Thanks to a rather dim-witted servant who couldn't resist little creatures walking up to the castle, the black cat was in the hallways, mewling affectionately in the man's arms.
"Don't worry, kitty, I'm a-find you some grub," he cooed as only a tall, stocky cook could. "I'll take you to the kitchen straightaway." He stomped down a deserted corridor, taking a shortcut.
The cat perked up at this statement - but not because it was hungry. With a swift paw, it clawed at his chest, ripping his shirt and apron, and leaped away in time as he gasped, groping at the shredded parts of his clothes.
"What the - "
He barely stifled a scream as the cat disappeared behind a cloud of gray mist. When everything cleared, a redheaded maid stood there, clutching a star pendant that was glowing with a strange, musty light. She was smiling...a very malevolent grin that reminded the hapless cook of the cat's smug expression when he had picked it up.
"Miss me?"
"Liarre?" he said, shuddering and backing away towards a suit of armor clutching a large mace. "What's...what's going on?"
"Nothin' much," was the reply. "Sorry about this, but I can't take any chances. You know, I was once in love with you, Adan. I hope you can forgive me."
A flash of dusty gray later, the cook was sprawled on the floor, his open mouth frozen forever in a soundless scream.
* * *
"Did you hear anything?" asked Kat, lifting the cup of medicine to her lips and taking in its strong aroma.
The passing nurse raised an eyebrow. "No...not really. Must be a servant fooling around and such."

Zari blinked at SILE. 'I'm not sure. I'd like to go back inside where I know a couple of secret passages and if something jumps on me I can fence them in. Yeah, I'm paranoid.' She yanked on a loose scale and it came out. She inspected it. Having been removed from her wings, the scale was turning transparent. That was normal. Like most Fae weapons, her dagger and sword were made from discarded feather-scales.

The stranger watched the others with curiosity and interest. His bronze-skinned horse grunted. He soothed it with a hand rubbing the side of its neck. "Easy, Lyardel. We shall not be seen, yet." The black cape rustled slightly with the breeze, and the stranger straightened himself in his saddle, his armor clinking silently. A medal just below the right shoulderpad of his armor said "Protector of Riasa-Calleo".
((The horse's name is pronounced LEE-ar-d'elle.))

((Five pages. I don't know whether I should complain of reading all that, or complain of only having to read five pages after all this time. Hopefully I can stay back this time.)) Icth stirred. He didn't want to wake his master; she hadn't slept peacefully since he'd last seen her back at home. But something was bothering him, and it was unlike the dog not to investigate. Carefully, trying not to tread on her, he made his way out of her room. His nose itched. Not exactly an itching, but it bothered him. Something smelled; and Icth didn't care for it one bit. He followed the smell down the hallways, twisting and turning, till he was lead to its source: cats. Icth had never met a cat before, having led a sheltered life for a dog. He didn't know what to make of the strange creatures, and he growled deeply, warning the annoyance to stay away. * * * When Emma woke up from her nap, she stretched. She'd fallen asleep on the floor, and it hurt her back. It seemed not to have been terribly long since she'd fallen asleep, thankfully. It took her a moment to realize that Icth, her new companion here, wasn't where she'd left him. She cursed under her breath, muttering threats as she went and began to search for Icth.

((Finally! At last! I'm here. I'm just really sorry it took so long to post this. -_-))The shimmering white lynx prowled the dark-grey castle halls. It had succeeding in getting the King into the courtyard, yet it hadn’t quite expected for the boy’s fall to be halted. Nevertheless, it could still be used to the lynx’s advantage. They would still succeed. The King would still fall. The illusion had gone on without flaw. Everyone had seen the kestrel block out the sun, its shadow as dark as night itself. Ha, some of those foolish nights probably even thought the world itself had actually turned to night, indeed. How wrong they were, yet the lynx took pride in their misinterpretation. It would only further their plan in the end. And, well, the end was growing nearer. The lynx turned down a darker hall with no windows and few torches and illuminated it with a soft, almost moon-like glow. Its flesh began to undulate and shine more brightly. As it continued down the hall, it grew larger and took the shape of an animal very dear to the kingdom, very dear, indeed. The hall's end approached, and a glowing, white wolf turned around the corner. * * * Wolf was stuck gazing at the sky as the others talked about what the giant kestrel might have meant. He thought he heard Shade ask if she should find Kit or not, and this seemed to pull him from his daze. “No,” he said quietly, “let Sir Kit finish what he must; I am sure he will join us when he is through.” Wolf forced himself to look away from the sky and then took Jonathan’s hand. After what had just happened, the boy seemed as eager to hold onto Wolf as Wolf was eager to hold onto him. Wolf turned to SILE as she said something about returning to the castle, but he wasn’t quite sure what she had meant. It sounded heavily worded and confusing. She wasn’t from this world, he reminded himself; there were bound to be differences in dialect. “I agree,” he said, hoping that what he thought he had heard had truly been what he had actually heard, “I think we should head back towards the castle as well.” ((And unless anyone has plans for some action to occur outside, I propose a time skip into the castle.))

((I'll justify the time skip with my post describing them returning.))
As they headed back towards the castle, the stranger watched from the hillside... until they were far enough away that he could barely see them. Easing his horse, Lyardel, forward, he stealthily followed them all the way back. Once they were inside, the stranger mused over his options... he could leave and risk his own death, or attempt to gain some allies here. He opted for the obvious choice.

Zari opened her mouth to reply when a Flash of fire intruded and a piece of paper, pale yellow in colour and glowing faintly, settled on her head. She picked it off and scowled. Unfolding, she scanned it. The message was in Her own tounge, but written in this countries alphabet.
Ral Zari,
Eromi yaw miren. Diu ky jva. Hri.
Hri mau Ralden, You Know who I am.
Despite the shortness and lack of information, Zari understood it. 'Gah. I've got to pick something up in the city. I'll see you all later.' She folded the message and headed towards the city, cursing the timing.
((Yes, there's a connection between ral and Ralden.))

"... Confusion and havoc resulted from her persistence in the argument! My young friend Cylak never fails to let out a giant jumble, would you not agree?"
Since the group agreed to enter the castle, SILE had been talking nonstop about her friends back in her own world, hoping that she'd be able to encourage them to visit them some time. The pink cat either was not able to realize that normal transportation from the NTWF to her world was impossible or was trying to ignore the fact.
"Oh, forgive me for my sudden change of topic, but we have acknowledged the quick disappearance of our beloved Zari. Her reason of absence does not quite pick up a clear thought from my mind..." she paused for a brief second as she looked at everyone. "Does someone here understand further the cause of her leave?"

Zari turned a corner and had a hand clapped over her mouth. She rolled her eyes when her attacker backed off. 'You know I won't scream.' 'Yeah, but I have to remember the time one of your knightly comrades near arrested me, Zari.' 'True. So, what'sso urgent I have to know?' 'There's been some ill feeling towards the new King in the south, apparently.' her informant, this time, had attemped a disguise- A russet dress and a cloak. 'Hmm. I'll report that. Thank you.' 'Welcome.' The younger girls hood slid back and she cursed fluently. The knight, watchng her, smiled slightly. It was still like looking in a mirror- or, she supposed, a time-warp. 'Goodbye, don't let the farmers see you when you float up or whatever it is that you do.' 'Ugh. Don't remind me.' the girl skipped off and was lost in the crowds, and the Knight was left to debate how she would get this information to King Wolf without her source being questioned.

The stranger banged his armored fist on the heavy wooden door.
"HULLO!!!" He bellowed. "I SAY! LET ME IN! I MUST SPEAK WITH YOUR KING!!"

Zaha, who had curled up in a patch of sunlight, woke up and stared at the stranger. 'Who're you?' she inquired sleepily, blinking rapidly at the sunlight. 'You woke me up, and I was having a nice doze there too.'
