((Mweehee, I'm going to jump in. ^_^ It's a chance to try out the pirate!Elcie backstory. Yay.))
In the sky above the two ships, cloaked with magic, a small flying craft was suddenly buffeted by the aftershock of Ikkin's wind spell. And as the engine was already failing, this was a Very Bad Thing for the craft's three occupants.
Elycien, obviously a Thirecat by her large foxlike black ears and twitching cat-tail, was clenching her teeth as she struggled to keep her hand on the helm. The engine gave a couple more sputters, and the girl groaned. Despite her best efforts at reinforcing it, it was still clearly going to stall. Perhaps some of her magic had disagreed with it, she thought wryly. Despite the steadily advancing technology of airship travel, the engines were still powered in part by magic, and as Elcie had never actually used this model before, she was unfamiliar with how it worked.
"Prepare for crash landing," she announced, sounding less nervous than might be expected of a girl her age.
The second passenger, a small white Gathow, poked her head up from behind Elycien. "I told you not to take this one," she said, smirking.
"Shut it, Blizzard," Elcie muttered grimly, still trying to concentrate on flying into the sea gracefully. "The other one was the Prince's boat. I couldn't have taken that."
"Why not?" The third member of the party, a black Gathow, was balanced precariously at the rear of the airboat, claws dug into yielding cloth to give him purchase. "It's what you'd normally do."
She grimaced. "That's the point. We're on the run, remember?"
As she spoke, the engine sputtered and died altogether. As it did, Elycien's concealment spell faded, as it had been linked to the magic in the engine. "Hold on! Blitzkrieg, get off of there!"
The black Gathow jumped to her shoulder as the airboat fell through the air to land with a splash in the ocean dangerously close to the starboard side of the Weewoo. Blizzard followed suit. The boat was floating surprisingly well, considering it had been built for the skies, but already water was filling the cockpit.
"If you get me wet, I'll never forgive you," Blitz muttered irritably.
"At least we landed right next to a ship," Elcie pointed out. She waved up to the pirates on deck and shouted. "Ahoy there!"

" Hi there Hazel!" said Cyborg who was talking to one of his many squirrel pets. Hazel had raced from the delighted kougra's quarters. " Hi Cyborg what's all the commotion going on up here?" questioned the adorable brown squirrel. " Oh Ikkin is blowing winds at people, Kat's looking at some weird scroll and I'm here watching." Cyborg declared. " Oh ok I'll be back soon bye for now!" Hazel retorted with glee.

SPLOOSH
When Elycien's craft had landed, the weewoo was very near the islands. Only about another 10 minutes to go before they entered the cluster. They were making exellent time with Ikkin's wind hurrying them along.
"What was that?" asked Keng as the oddly loud splash met her ears. "Couldn't be cannons, to early for th-" she looked over the railing and was surprised to see a small craft there with a familiar face. For a moment she didn't believe it was who she thought it was until she saw the two gathows. "Holy smokes Elcie, where did you come from?" she gaped.
Then she gaped some more. "And where the heck did ya find that?"
--------
"Cap'n, something just fell out of the sky near the other ship. It certainly got here fast for a ship that was slowing down." reported Coldweather down to Jenkins.
"What kind of something?"
"A.. uhh.. a something with wings.. I'm not really sure what to call it sir but there's someone sitting in it I believe Sir." he reported while looking through a telescope.
"Dosen't matter, the ennemy vessel is nearly here. Get those nets up and prepare for battle. Get us hidden behind that island there. It should provide us good cover for an ambush and provide a good opening for our little plan." ordered the Captain. The ship went into an organized flurry of activity as his orders were followed.
Jenkins himself couldn't help but pace in anticipation, walking up and down along the ships railing, anxious for the battle to begin. He was a patient man, he didn't mind waiting a couple months, or even years, but the moments just before a battle always felt like an eternity to him.

Slowly Dragon opened her eyes. First things first. She inspected her self. She was a herring. Now to check the wound, she chaned back into an Elf. There was a bullet in her arm. Where the wing would've been when she was a sea gull. The shock of it all must've made her faint. Quickly running out of air, she changed back into a herring. The Judgment was moving away.
"Snaps!" She bubbled under the water, swimming hastily towards her own ship. She had to get to the pirates in time. Before it could be any worse. About to reach the surface, she changed once again into an Elf. And that's when the flying aircraft slammed down on her.
What the crap?!, she thought. "Fish!" She muttered before the darkness over came her. Once again.

"Keng? How - oh, never mind. It's a long story." She thought about standing up, but decided it would probably flip over the sinking craft and land the three of them in the water. She waved instead. "Throw us a line!"

Goosh looked up from his mutterings. "Hey Elcie!" he cried. "We're under attack--maybe."

((...you guys do realize that the Weewoo is currently moving towards the island at full speed while Elcie's airship wreck floats in the water, right? xD))

((Not full speed. We could go faster if we wanted to.
But yes, I see your inconvenient point about the moving ship and such. Hmm.. That complicates things.. I'm not sure what to do. Hmm.. Maybe dragon can turn into a whale and give Elcie a ride or something o.0))

((Works for me ^^ We might just as well ignore all the contradictory points. We do that all the time x3 I'ma gonna type up the next post as soon as I'm done studying for tomorrow's exam.))
The Weewoo was slowly gaining speed. Ikkin's winds had done the trick of pushing her, now inertia was taking over. Bloody Mary rocketed through the air, panting. He had just barely escaped the squishing power of the wind.
"Miss second-in-command-vicecaptain-ma'am," he huffed, climbing up Hunty's shoulder. It was trembling. So was the wheel she was clutching. The whole ship was vibrating with tension that came from the pressure to the single mast. "With that speed, we'll run aground."
"Dun worry," Huntress pressed from between her teeth. "I have a plan."
"You might wanna execute it now," said the meepit.
***
"Captain, they're not slowing down!" yelled Mr. Coldweather. "They're almost here!"
"What?" barked Jenkins, rushing to the railing. "But it's not... how can they not be slowing down?"
The men, who had been preparing for battle, stopped for a moment upon hearing that, then hurried off with twice the speed and nervousness. They had to get their weapons and all before the pirates would get there. And they were closing in fast. The black flag could already be seen with the naked eye.
***
"Mkay," said Huntress, her eyes narrowing. "That should do it. Ikkin, I'd like some wind to the other side of the sail now!"
Bloody Mary blinked. "What?"
"What I said. And the rest of ye, weigh the anchors!!!"

"Mkay," said Huntress, her eyes narrowing. "That should do it. Ikkin, I'd like some wind to the other side of the sail now!"
"Aye, aye, vice-captain!" Ikkin said, finally remembering to change her normal manner of responding to orders. She stood facing the back of the sails, both arms extended towards them, and took a deep breath before jerking them back quickly, pulling her magical wind back with it. The sails drooped almost instantly, the wind being taken completely out of them. Her hands nearly glowed with the extra energy she had drained from her wind.
She wasn't finished yet, though. She ran to the front of the sails and thrust her hands forward in that direction, the wind reappearing nearly as powerful as it had been before. The mast creaked from the sudden change, but held strong; Ikkin knew the limits of the Weewoo well enough.
"That good, Hunty?" she asked, grinning. Now all that was left was the anchors... and then, it should be time for the fight.

"Are we going to fight or what?" asked Cyborg who was preparing to his two cutlasses from his belt. " Cause I'm ready to fight!" added the now slightly impatient kougra.

"Cyborg!" Goosh called, "We have to weigh anchors. Which I think means toss 'em, or something." Goosh happily tossed an anchor over the side of the Weewoo.

Kat shut the door with a loud bang and a burst of spell words that activated her lock with a little click, and made it glow with a faint purple light. If anyone wanted to break her door down, they would either have to do it with powerful magic, or ask her to remove the spell.
Being a bit too obsessive-compulsive for a pirate wench, Kat's quarters were quite neat, so she instantly found her table and chair, and her magic books, which were serving as a paperweight for several manuscripts. She pulled up her chair, which was more of a stool, and whipped out her scroll and the paper she was writing the translation on. There was an inkwell and a quill ready for her on the table, so she didn't have to summon anything.
While keeping her eyes and ears open, she dipped her quill and began to write again.

Huntress looked up from the wheel. "Cyborg, we're pirates. Most of our lives consist of plain sailing, spending the loot and slacking off. If you wanna stab someone all the time, you shoulda joined the ninjas. Mkay, hold on, everyone. Guys, on my mark, the other anchor." Bloody Mary trotted off again. She had barely had the time to say it when the anchor hit the bottom. The Weewoo shook, her stern almost rising out of the water when she tried to pull on. For a moment it looked like the anchor chain would break... but then Ikkin's wind hit the sail. The brigantine shook again and fell back upright, turning sideways as she still moved, held only by an anchor in the starboard side. A row of very surprised faces slid past their railing. The Judgment stood there, quietly and calmly, as the Weewoo slid right up her side. ((I should illustrate that scene later today. It's kinda hard to describe but trust me, such maneuvers look pretty and it's been a while since I last illustrated these RPs EDIT: there we go. And someday I will learn to make decent pen sketches without messing up every second line. Prolly someday after I get a decent pen.)) "Bloody Mary!" shouted Huntress, earning another wave of surprised gazes from the other ship. The other anchor fell into the water and the white brigantine stopped. Hunty let go of the wheel and marched to the prow, where she leaned on the railing. The island was straight in front of them, the palm trees waving quietly in the wind. The view was blocked by the other ship a little, but she stretched her neck past it. "Pretty," she said. "Though probably loaded with malaria. Nicely done, crew. I half feared that we wouldn't pull it off but this ship is tougher than she seems."
