"But ninjas suck." replied Cyborg. " And I heard something about fighting." he added.

((The small one. The Weewoo is a brigantine, and brigantines are tiny, with two masts. Plus Rider would feel like a smurf when in command of a big ship and we dun wanna bruise her ego *smack'd*))

((As of this point, Jenkins once again belongs to me. This is for the sanity of my plan. So please don't use him. You are free however to use any other crew member of the Judgment, but they must follow orders.))
Jenkins, deciding not to bother with how, simply that it was happening and formulated a plan as quick as he could.
"Ready the cannons!" called out the captain as the Weewoo pulled into range. "Don't wait, just fire as soon as you've got a shot. Keep them busy. Rifles hold fire, wait for my mark. Joan, McCarson, and Rotweiler, grab some axes, I don't want even one of those pirates to make it onto the Judgement. Coldweather, what do you see?"
"Not much right now Captain, they seem to be making it up as they go along."
"Ah, that's typical of their scum. Let's hope that tendency won't cost us to much today." his mind thought of a different ship he'd encountered recently as he said this, but he had little time to dwell on such thoughts. He just had to hope his plan would pay off. He had a few surprises up his sleeves.
"It's some unatural wind that blows in their sails." whispered Cole to his left.
"Everything about those scum is unatural." retorted Jenkins, "That is why we must rid the seas of their stench, and fight on unconventional terms." he gritted his teeth and clenched the railing with white knuckles. Not from fear, just determination. "Are the archers ready?"
"Aye sir."
"Good. See to it they don't miss their marks. And keep a few men here and there throughout the ship, we outnumber them, we can spare a few men to make sure none of them try sneaking up behind us."

((... so I'm going to godmode myself to the ship. >_>))
It didn't take Elycien long to figure out what was happening after the Thirecat stepped onto the deck, the two Gathows jumping from her shoulders soon after. She moaned. "This is just my luck," she muttered with digust, glancing across at the other ship. Slowly and casually, she made her way over to lean on the mast.
"You know, they're sailors, not skyfarers," Blizzard remarked. "They probably don't even know about..."
"Better to be safe than sorry," Elcie interrupted. "They aren't pirates, that's for sure, and that's enough for me." She raised her voice. "Hey!" The girl waved at the nearest pirate. "I'm soaked, do you think I could borrow someone's clothes? I need a place to change."
"Unnecessary," Blitz murmured, almost inaudibly. Elcie snorted.
((For the sake of backstory, let's say that I have been on the ship before, but I didn't really talk about where I came from and I didn't stay long enough to properly be considered part of the crew. ^^ So... you can know me if you want to, but I could also be a stranger to you, depending.))

((Makes sense. You've been a pirate for a while I believe, you just haven't been overly active in the past.
And picture of Jenkins comming soon. I just need to: a) Get his face to look less like Moldyvort.. I mean... Voldemort's. b) Finnish it))

"Oy! Hunty! It looks like they're going to fire. Can Ikkin outmaneuver them?" Goosh asked, running to Kat's quarters to alert the mage.

" Well I may not be Hunty, but I think Ikkin would be able to." replied Cyborg. " I still want to fight those sailors over there since they're kinda firing on us!" he added impatiently.

Huntress was still leaning on the railing, squinting up at the other ship.
"Oy! Hunty! It looks like they're going to fire. Can Ikkin outmaneuver them?" Goosh asked. "Doubtful," said the pirate. "It'd break the ship for sure. We may be a small target, but that fire will have a wide range, plus we're right by their side. The only thing that would be able to fully stop that fire," she turned around, "is probably Sev."
"If Sev shows up then we might as well resort to eating popcorn and taking pictures," remarked Bob. Huntress shrugged with a vague grin and climbed up the rigging to sit on the foreyard.
"Ahoy!" she shouted. "Any specific reason for why yer preparing those nice cannons?"
((Yesh, I'm a bit jacksparrowish. But having a fight without exchanging a word with the enemy feels weird. How do we know who they are and how do they know who we are?))
The Judgment fell quiet for a moment. Then a voice emerged from above: "Pirate scum!"
"Aw," said Hunty, standing up. "And I thought government people were polite." She lifted the white lightweight crossbow from her back. That was about as good as yelling 'on your mark'.
((I'm assuming that the other ship's cannons aren't ready yet, else we'd be down already. Cannon fire ain't pretty.))

"This isn't good, this isn't good, this isn't good," Elcie muttered, trying to find a way to get off the deck without the Judgement crew spotting her. She flattened her ears against her head.
"Elc! Down here!" Blizzard had found an open hatch leading down into the hold. Elcie didn't need to be told twice. The Thirecat and the Gathow jumped down together.
Blitzkrieg, however, kept back. "I don't want to miss the action," he retorted, although Elc and Bliz couldn't hear him by now.
It was only after they'd shut the hatch that Elcie realized that the other Gathow was missing. As she lit lanterns by the green ball of light she'd conjured, Blizzard walked up to her. "Elcie? I think Blitz is still outside..."
The girl groaned. "No! Idiot... everyone who knows me would recognize you two. Gathows are unusual, and black ones are even moreso..."
"Well, they already know it's a pirate ship," Blizzard pointed out. "And so it wouldn't come as much of a surprise if they realized the infamous sky captain Elycien was on board. Sky and sea pirates are generally on good terms, aren't they?"
Elcie let out a little moan. "You're not helping. If the Weewoo gets captured, it'll be over for us. Well, for me. I don't doubt that you could escape, it's pretty hard to confine a Gathow..."

She shot a look towards Huntress to make sure that it was okay.

((They're just finnishing getting them ready now. I'm on the weewoo afterall, and I don't want to be blow to smitherines before we can say "FIRE!"))
Keng ran for the grappling ropes. Against a ship like that they were unlikely to do superbly with just cannons vs. cannons. "Grappling ropes, get your grappling ropes!" she called as she ran about the deck, setting them up and handing them to anyone who would take one. She could already feel the adrenalin rush of the battle rushing into her blood vessels and emblazoning her senses. She would stay out of werewolf form until it was necessary.
--------
"Fire!" called Cole to his squad of archers. They held a mix of traditional bows and cross bows. Their arrows streaked through the air in all directions, and each head was ablaze with hot fire. They were headed towards the sails. "Don't wait, reload and fire another volley at the rest of sails. We don't want to leave them with any chance of escape."
Jenkins gave his own orders to fire, only his were dirrected at the cannon crew, who by now had the guns perfectly ready. The loud craks began to fill the air like wild thunder, the smell of gun powder etched itself into the nostrils. Jenkins couldn't remember the last time he couldn't smell gunpowder. It was always there. "Take out the ennemy guns!" he called. "And don't miss."
"Captain sir!" called Coldweather from the crows nest. Jenkins looked up to see his lookout waving his arms in a signal. Jenkins frowned at it, like his fun was about to be ruined, but gave him a nod to show he understood.
"Press on the attack. James, you're a sharp shot, aim for the one with the crossbow, she seems to be leading them."
The rifleman James nodded and took careful aim. CRACK! The shot was away. But at this distance it would take a good deal of luck for the bullet to find it's mark, even with the marksman's skills.
