I'm debating on whether to get back into Neo, even just casually, and if I do, I'm definitely going to start re-entering the Poetry Contest as my main source of NP income. I've actually won three times before, and I'd like to be able to go back and find my winning entries, but is there no way to search for them by username? I tried but couldn't quite seem to figure out how to do it. The only way I know how to do is to Google (without the quote marks) "search:neopets.com username poetry". Poetry gallery as key words bring up too many other things for me, but maybe if poetry alone doesn't bring up what you want, you can try that way. The alternative route is to look back to see if you posted about them on this forum, or to remember which days you got in for, and go back through the gallery for those days (using the calendar to know when abouts each page was posted). But that would take...a while.

I wish they would advertise some of these holidays in advance. They did Poems for March 3rd and Gadgadsbogen and didn't say anything about it.

Why was Scorchio Day early? There was no need for that.

My poem was recently chosen for the Shoyru Day special but I didn't receive a neomail regarding it. I didn't receive a prize, neopoints or trophy either (I really want the trophy).
I've submitted a ticket and hope they'll fix the issue but I was just wondering if anyone has had this problem before?

Maybe you'll get it on Monday? That's when TNT will be back in the office.

So ... tomorrow is May 12 and the Neopian Calendar says it's "Tyrannian Victory Day!!!" What is this about? [Swamped with tests and assignments but might wanna give this a try]

[Swamped with tests and assignments but might wanna give this a try] I believe that's to celebrate the Tyrannian War from so long ago. It was an old plot that introduced Tyrannia, and the story was that as soon as the land was discovered, it had to be protected from invaders. You can probably find more with Jellyneo's Book of Ages.

Seems like they didn't even do a page for Tyrannian Victory Day this year?
Also, my Moehog Day poem got rejected. Huh. I don't think I've ever had a poem specifically rejected before. Ah well, I guess.

Ah well, I guess. They didn't even bother to see my entry for Tyrannian Victory Day There wasn't even a rejection NM. But the Art Gallery apparently did have some pictures relating to the Day. I was so preoccupied with Victory Day that I forgot about Moehog Day, oops! Good luck with the next one, Diana

I... confess, I find it really easy to get bitter about how the contests are handled these days. It's really unpredictable (STC updates irregularly at weird times, certain poetry galleries just don't happen) and I find it really hard to lose gracefully when I don't implicitly trust how things are being judged.
But hey, at least they're running again! That's good. It was the lack of anything that made me leave a year ago.
(I'm also irritated that I didn't save the poem I sent... I should have done that. Now I can't resubmit it for a random day because I don't have it anymore. It was like six or seven stanzas on Moehawk.)
That really is a shame. :x I'm sure they would have gotten enough poems for Tyrannian Victory Day... maybe your poem will show up later in another section? Or was it very Victory Day specific?

It's about celebrations at Tyrammet Village. But this poem is in the shape of a hut (non-rhyme; what kind of poem is this called? Somebody had done it with ice cream so I wanted to try one out as well). I'm relatively new to the creative contests (just started this year) and I thought it was only recently that they were updating these competitions less and less. I didn't know they actually stopped updating regularly a year ago! Oh, what a pity! I hope you remember most of your poem. But even so, they rarely update random day poems nowadays. I am happy that all these contests are ongoing at least but the irregularity makes me feel irritated. A lot.

I sent in a poem for Tyrannian Victory Day, too. It was a descriptive piece called "Tyrannia After Independence," sort of reflecting how everything seems so regular in peacetime, it's easy to forget a war ever took place. Didn't get a rejection neomail or anything. I feel like maybe Neo is experiencing some budget issues and doesn't have the (wo)manpower to keep the content running as smoothly as before. They've had to deal with the people using bots, the hackers stealing account info, and who knows what else. It does seem like they are trying, though. I am hopeful for Neo in the long term. Also... ANJIE IS BACK?!?!

I think Anjie was just using a different account as her main for a while. I wouldn't know, though - I just got back, myself. Also, hey, Stephanie! Long time, no see.

I think they also changed the PC from every Monday, Thursday and Holiday to just "Holidays, and maybe Thursday if there is no holiday that week."
They also changed it so you can only get in once a week, I believe.
