I think they also changed the PC from every Monday, Thursday and Holiday to just "Holidays, and maybe Thursday if there is no holiday that week." They also changed it so you can only get in once a week, I believe. Nah, I think they do accept 2 per week (or maybe more) because all my Pet Day poems have never been rejected so far (and there are weeks with 2 pet days in a week). But what's with updating poems for 2 consecutive days? That was unpredictable. I'm also wondering if they only choose from a specific category...? My Tyrannian Day poem remains unseen (under Neopian Holidays). Or could it be lost in the database...

Just submitted my Koi poem and then refreshed the page to find that the poems were already put up *facepalm*
Edit: Isn't the page usually updated at around 2pm? Koi Day's poems were updated at 11am.

Are you kidding me? The poems page has been updated and my poem wasn't there so I checked my NM but there isn't even a rejection letter! I sent in an entry for JubJub Day yesterday. Don't tell me the judge didn't even see it ...
Does the judge only check entries which are submitted on the Pet Day itself? This is the first time I've sent in a poem one day earlier.

Well, I just submitted a last-minute poem for Petpet Day just now (It ended up being really long, so I'll be sad if it gets rejected).
The Moehog Day poem I had rejected was submitted, like, a week and a half before Moehog Day, so I don't know, Azusa.

I don't think the timing has much to do with it, to be honest. I've submitted that day, I've submitted a week ahead.

Azusa, sometimes when I submit a themed poem that the judge plans to use for a non-themed day, I don't get any notifications either. I'll get one out of the blue that I got in, but with a poem I had entered weeks before. Fingers crossed for you!

The board I hang out on (Pay it Forward) has a bit of a quiggle meme/in-joke, so I've been encouraging people to enter the poetry contest tomorrow in the spirit of Quiggle Day. I know at least five have submitted - maybe we'll see some new stars.

I entered one on Friday, had I known, I would have tried to go with the in-joke.

There isn't an in-joke in the poems themselves, or at least not that I'm aware of (and not common across them) - just the board itself. Nothing to fear here.

Wow - three of them got in! I'm so happy. Can't wait until they get on to share the news. (Who knows, maybe they'll get a leg into the Poetry Contest now? It's always that first step that makes you realize you can do it.) This was my submission, which was also inspired by the board (barrage of quiggle plushies two days ago.) Pets these days want pretty dolls With silky velvet sheen. Pink and white and blue fabric – So painfully mainstream.
You can keep those boring dolls; I know just the toy for me. The one, the only, the unique – It’s the Quigquig Plushie!
It’s soft and purple, what delight! With friendly arms held wide, Charming lumps in the stuffing, And stitches up the side.
Before you ask, let me remind Two heads always best one. Two smiles bright, can’t you agree Two heads are twice the fun?
Who needs a body anyway? These designers hit the mark Though I have to wonder, just a bit – Why are the eyes so dark…?
No matter! Can’t you see the charm Of… reaching, grasping hands… Well, vacant stares like this must be Always in high demand.
The seamwork is… well, nevermind. This plush is quite unique! …Did it just move? I must admit, I’m getting rather freaked.
Two heads lets you accessorize! Unless it’s a dress to wear. That might not fit… well, then… maybe… Please, make it stop that stare!
Maybe it’s a sleeper hit For fans of the spooky. Just get this Quigquig Plushie Quite far away from me!
