"Those demon elves thought they ended a war with my family's death-it would be no tragedy for the things to all die for what they did!" I snapped at the other woman, hopping up to my feet as I spoke.

"I am from a forgotten civilization deep in the misty mountains" I told her. The punishment for mass murder is still a walk through the mines, but first we release some wild wolves into the mines. (this is my last post before dinner. See ya.)

"Are all elves demons?" she inquired with a soft voice. "Or can you not tell the difference between different beings? A more open mind can save the lives of many, just as a closed mind may cause many innocent lives to end." Sighing, she looked back into the water.
"Each death is a tragedy, even when working for the dark side..."

Turning to the warrior, she said, "Maybe that is a traditional punishment that should not be continued. What is the difference between murder and a walk through the mines, from which few come out, with added danger?"

"Shut up about being open minded!" I roared, throwing the dagger to land directly between her feet and pulling out two more.
"The Elves are the ones who need to hear that! They are the ones who slaughtered the entire race of me and my family, for the commited by one of us that went mad!"

Still smiling softly, Celie picked up the dagger from the ground. "I only speak the truth. Anger gets you nowhere, as I know from experience. Maybe you should consider talking to the Elves yourself. Or are you worried that they will destroy you? This one," here she gestured to the Elf, "has not even tried to hurt you. I have not tried to hurt you - I am half-Elven myself. Although the numbers are diminishing in Middle-Earth, there are different kinds of Elves. They are as different as the races of Men."

"The truth," I snarled. "The truth doesn't exist-it is all lies. Yes, there are seperate races of Elves, but every one of those races once killed a member of my race, leaving only me and Masdana living! All of my race are gone, slaughtered either by elves or by humans! Every race on this earth has hands bloodied by the deaths of my kin. None are innocent, and all races, especially the elves, who killed more than the rest of the races put together, deserve to die!"

"Well, I can relate that to what you are doing. Slaughtering many elves for the acts of a few." Turning to the half-elf, he said, the criminals are given a knife first, and they have a choice to cut there throtes before. However, there are very few criminals because the punishment is so great.

"All lies. Can you even believe yourself?" Celie's small fingers ran along the edge of the dagger she had picked up. It was sharp, although the blade had not yet penetrated her skin. "According to your logic, every being deserves to die - including yourself. We all have a death penalty. But how is killing a response? Would it not condemn your soul, and leave guilt on your mind? Even a cause you believe is noble can leave guilt. Will leave guilt."

"Maybe I deserve to die," I said quietly, "but I cannot die. So I shall live out my life avenging the deaths of my family."
((Strange that no one's asked what his race is...))

(I never asked because I checked out the other profile.) ((I meant the actual characters asking what his race was.))

((Celie doesn't really ask about people's races))
"Then you cannot really live, can you... If your life is but an act of revenge. Do you not have a real purpose - something that would not be affected by deaths?"
To herself, she thought If his race is all like him, maybe it's a good thing they're mostly dead...

"I wish I could stay and talk," Sabboc inturupted, but I really need to go warn the kings of Gondor and Rohan about the threat of rhun. Good Bye. ((I need to go until tommarow afternoon. By.))

"If my life is just an act of revenge, then so be it. At least I will have avenged those killed by the Elves."
