Kira stared back and forth between the badger and the girl. "Uh...am I the only on here who can't read animal's minds or something?" she asked, still staring in disbelief.

Okat turned to the stong smelling being and nodded, like she had seen so many humans do to answer a question with the word 'Yes'.
She was shocked. A badger... acting like a human!? How dishonorable! The badger was disgusted with herself... After all the negative thoughts towards humans... after all the times she had been mistreated... She couldn't believe what she had just done.

"Okay..." Kira replied nervously. Was she going crazy or that badger just nodded at her?! No, she was definitely seeing things. She shook her head rapidly, and took a deep breath.

"Maybe." Karien looked around to the edge of the woods, and asked softly, "So, when will we leave?" "As soon as I'm back from getting a couple of things. Be right back!" Kira replied, flying off. She landed to another clearing. She walked towards a big willow tree, looking up at a big branch where a square structure made out of branches was sitting. "I'll really miss this place..." she muttered, flying up to the branch. She crept in the square structure and grabbed a little pocket made out of bark. She opened it to check if everything she wanted to bring with her was there and came back out, flying back towards where she had met the girl. She landed with a thud, and asked, "So, are you guys ready?" |

Okat sniffed the air for any trace of... elven... essence. She caught a whiff as she ignored the girl's scent, and started off in the direction she caught the scent from. This, supposedly, was her way of saying she was ready to go.

"Then we leave," Karien said. "I need to take nothing. I lived alone and I will leave my previous home as it is." She followed Okat, glancing back over her shoulder to see if the fairy was coming.

Kira followed the elven girl, wondering where they were going. "Uh, anyone have an idea where we're going?" she asked shyly.

"It's true I know this forest like the back of my hand, but I have absolutely no idea where and ELF could be!" Kira exclaimed, gesturing as if the girl had just asked her if winged elephants existed.

Okat continued on the trail, but "talked" back to Kira Karien.
'Tell the thing behind you that it matters not that we know where we are going. My ability to smell can lead us there. Yet this... elven... essence is faint and old. It may take a while.'

Kira just watched as the badger seemed to be 'talking to the girl again. She sighed and wondered what it was trying to say.
