Bumping for a second because I had a random AAI2 related question somebody might know more about. XD; Yes, I know, only available in Japan, but maybe somebody who's stopped caring about spoilers can look it up for me or something? (I'm planning on getting it when I'm more confident with my Japanese, so I'm still avoiding spoilers like the plague) Okay, so I know in one of the cases you're supposed to be able to play as Gregory Edgeworth, right? So I was just curious, does he have a... thing, that he can do? XD; I mean, Phoenix has the magatama, Apollo has perceive, Edgey has logic and that... weird chess thing, so does Greg have something like that? Does he use logic? Does he also do Edgey's chess thing, or does he have something else? I'd like to know for a Taco thing, so yeah. XD;

Been a while since I watched the videos for it.

Woooah, a bomb in the courtroom? Just like in that dream I had. XD If Trucy dies and Apollo becomes a prosecutor, then my dream will have been prophetic.

Dude what's wrong with Nick's new voice. But looks pretty rad besides that. Also, did I read right that it's set eight years after AJ? Because that would mean plenty of timeline wiggle room for my wacky fanfics

I don't really get why so many people are complaining about the digital only release? I mean, maybe it's our cluttered cabinets with the hundreds of games that are collecting dust, but I don't really mind. XD; I mean, even if I broke my 3DS (which I don't have one yet, but) and lost the game forevar, Ace Attorney has low replay value anyway, so all I really care about is playing it once. I dunno man.
I guess I'd be a little upset if it was super expensive, which is another thing people are worried about, but it's not like I'm not already saving up for expensive import games. XD

Well, there are a few reasons I don't care for it. One, I like having my save data of a game on a cartridge with the picture of that game, instead of having to deal with SD card management and remembering what card had what save data for what game.
Two, I'm not fond of the game being tied to this system. If I lose my DS, I only have to pay to replace the DS. If I lose my 3DS, then I've lost my 3DS and all the games I've purchased. I'd be more comfortable with the system if it were tied to a gamertag or something, and could re-download the games I'd purchased. Like, I can redownload all the apps I bought on my tablet because they're all tied to my Google account. Not so with Nintendo.
Three, I don't keep games. I either trade them in or give them/loan them to my friend. So why exactly am I paying the same price to license a game when I could have the physical copy instead?

Yep, your 3DS breaks and you've lost yourself a system and its games. Systems don't last forever, just ask my original DS phat. It's had a good run, but it is going to die soon. At least all of its games are physical, so I won't lose them.
"we wanted as many people as possible to be able to enjoy the game for as long as possible. With that in mind we have opted for a digital only release via the Nintendo 3DS eShop."
Bologna! If they really wanted the most people to be able to play the game, they would've released it in both digital and physical copies. XP This is just being done because they want to curbstomp used game sales.

As best as I can tell, it's for particularly intense storylines or something? Still though, what

Guess they're really kicking things up a notch, huh? In any case, I have mixed feelings regarding AA5/DD. I don't have a 3DS so I'll have to settle for kidnapping a friend's. I'm still a bit sore about AAI-2, admittedly. I really looked forward to that game so I can see how people can improve on the AAI arc and its characters. But there's a fan translation already out on Youtube anyway; I'm not sure if I want to watch it now or stay away from spoilers a little longer. I've been spoiled quite considerably anyway. Regarding returning characters - spoilering this just in case: I'm glad that Pearl and Klavier are showing up, but my biggest fear is butchering Edgeworth and his role in the game. Because honestly, putting Simon Blackquill on the prosecution bench? Edgeworth has the authority to call the shots now and obviously he wouldn't let anything like that happen. This is a constant concern for me and I won't rest till we get an explanation. Edgeworth hates criminals with a burning passion. He'd think they're desecrating the prosecution bench or something like that, even.
I have plans to cosplay AA5!Edgeworth, though. And during my time away from the NTWF I finally succeeded in cosplaying regular flavor Edgeworth. Just thought I'd let you guys know.

I got the chance to try out the demo of this game at Comic Con. :3 Now that I've played it, I think the 3D characters work pretty well in the style, and this coming from someone who's quite vehement about keeping as much 2D around as possible. XD The new assistant girl is acceptable thus far. At least she doesn't have crazy boob-tastic moments like when Maya was on your team, channeling Mia. (Or worse, when Pearl does it) XDDDDD Her personality reminds me a lot of Layton's assistant in the Last Specter. Yanno, the very physically-fighty type.
The fact that it even had a presence at Comic Con is quite encouraging. I was afraid Capcom was starting to give up on the series, what with it being relegated to download-only. But they were giving out posters and wrist straps for playing the game, and it had a little courtroom witness stand you could take pictures in. (Though I think they accidentally faced the stand backwards, because it was facing the backdrop instead of out towards where you'd take the photos.) XDD It makes me slightly more hopeful that they'll bring out the crossover Layton game too. *_*
Anyway, I'm looking forward to it.

At least the AAI games aren't canon with the rest of the series. XD I've never played them, so I have no idea what went down.
