Hannah looked to the glistening portal. She almost fainted at the sight, but she stopped herself.

Leslie glanced at Norina uncertainly. "Do I just... step in-inside it?" she stammered. "Just like that?" Norina nodded encouragingly, and the girl hesitantly thrust one foot through the portal. A warm feeling or contentedness and, for some reason, familiarity, filled her mind. "Strange," Leslie remarked as her other foot joined its companion in the white light. "I've felt this before." Norina nodded once more. "Your father was a mage, remember? Perhaps he has been to Fae and the experience was inherited, as that sometimes happens within magical families." The fae glanced at Hannah. "Are you quite well?"

"Well with what? I don't beleive any of my family has been in the realm of Fae, either that or they never told me."

Leslie beckoned to her. "Come on in. I suppose I will have to go further in when you're here. I doesn't sting like the Orbs, although I suppose I expected it to."

Hannah slowly stepped towards the portal. When she reaches it, she stares at it for awhile. Then she puts her hand in. It feels as if her hand is going through a running river. She steps in causioucly.

Norina joined them inside the portal. Leslie sighed. "Now what?" "Now we wait."

"How long do we have to wai-"
Hannah felt like she'd just been hit by a tranquilizer. Her image of her surroundings started to blur. She fell to the ground.

Leslie's fingers curled themselves around- what? light, empty air?- to keep from meeting a similar fate while Norina simply stood, the very picture of serenity. After a while, the earth stilled and before them stood Fae.

Hannah woke up as Fae appeared. She stood up and brushed herself off.
"What was that?"

Leslie shrugged. "What? The portal? I guess it's always like that." Norina nodded, face shining with anticipation. "Come on out..."

"Odd. I was standing up in the portal, and then I was on the ground."
Hannah stepped out of the portal and gasped as she saw the marvelous place she was in.

Leslie stood still, taking in the beauty of this magical world. The sky was a clear aquamarine blue punctuated with fluffy bits of cloud, unspoiled by pollution. The wind blew gently, weaving in and out of the delicate emerald leaves and jewel-bright flowers sprouting from the fertile earth. Along a gold-paved, twisting path stood regal palaces and elegant spires made of the finest jewels and metals. Tiny, delicate minikins of Norina's height soared through the skies, their pastel-colored, satin robes billowed in the breeze while human mages, their rich velvet gowns shimmering in the sunlight, walked the golden paths. Norina smiled at the surprise on the girls' faces. "Welcome to Fae."

Hannah just looked around the place in awe. Out of all the places she had ever been to, nothing was as beautiful as this. Her mind spaced off as she gazed at some flowers, which was purple with a golden lining. She couldn't break out of the trance. Her mind was filling with wonderous thoughts.

One of the faes flew up to Norina, silver wings glittering faintly. "Norina!" she exclaimed. "Chanandra?" Norina asked. The faes laughed. "This is my sister," Norina explained to Leslie and Hannah, "and these are the vessels I have been watching over. They have seen the Orbs." Chanandra's cerulean eyes grew wide. "Really? They are barely into adolescence!" she exclaimed. "Come, let me show you something." Chanandra led the group down a twisting path that wound around a silver manor. Before them stood a...

Beautiful castle, which was lined with silver and gold, with lavender and green lines, with a touch of aquamarine. Hannah broke out of her trance once she saw the castle. To the left, she saw a magnificant garden, filled with all kinds of assortments of flowers. Hannah couldn't help but fall into another trance.
