A face on a computer monitor stared back at the dark figure. Unlike its companion, this face could be seen clearly; it was a gray-ish green, with wires and lightning running down it. It stared back at the other person with the same malevolent expression it always had. "The dogs dogs were merely merely a t-t est of their abilities. We must learn more about the c-capabilities of these insects if if we are to destroy them. I hav e scouts moving to intercept them now. S-soon they shall report back to us.---------- ((Descriptions of two horrible evil minions. The animations show idle, walking, attack, and death animations. Cyborg Assassins carry silenced rifles and shuriken. Cyborg Warriors have their arm cannon and fragmentation grenades, though they don't use the grenades very often. More evil minion types will probably show up in the future.)) Once, they had been Derrick Rodriguez and Scott Rivera, mechanics on board Citadel Station. They had been assigned to walk the long, twisting tunnels of the maintenance level, checking the equipment for faults and breakdowns. It had been boring work, going over the same hallways and electrical panels day after day after day, but it had been a job. First it had been the radiation leaks, the bizarre behavior of the robots, the missing laboratory materials and scientific equipment. Then it had been the strange illness, the sudden access code lockouts, the shuttle accident. Finally, it had been the running and hiding, the searches for food and ammunition, the moment their group had turned a corner while fleeing from a cyborg patrol and had found a dead end. Neither of them remembered that now. Now, they were Cyborg Assassin T-113 and Cyborg Warrior M-286, on patrol in this town in the name of their new master. Strange things had been happening in their master's new domain (although it was not referred to as such in front of the Other One). Strangers had arrived, strangers who had not been among the humans who had been squatting in this town. Then the dogs had come from the forest, and the strangers had cut them down easily. Their directive was clear: engage these newcomers, learn of their abilities, and report back. Night was falling; it would aid them. T-113 opened the door to a building and walked up the stairs to the roof; M-286 went into another building on the other side of the street. The humans here had laid planks across the roofs of neighboring buildings when they had fortified this place. When the area had been cleansed, the cyborgs had ordered that the planks be left in place. They could be useful. T-113 and M-286 made their way towards the location the other scouts had reported the strangers moving towards. The estimates had been correct; there was the human with the wand, the four unarmed humans, and the two armored ones. The red armored one was standing in a doorway. M-286 stood on the rooftop while T-113 found some shadows to hide in. After a few seconds, T-113 could barely be seen in the darkness. M-286 stepped forward to the edge of the roof and fired a shot at the armored one; the sound of the gun was clearly audible at street level. An instant later, T-113 threw a shuriken at the human with the wand.

(I love him too much not to include him in this) Name: The Doctor (not really, his real name is unknown) From: Doctor Who Race: Time Lord Origin: Gallifrey (now destroyed) Weapon: None, he's a pacifist. Special Abilities: He is a genius and has his TARDIS (Time and relative dimentions in space) which travels through space and time and a sonic screwdriver which allows him to open any lock and fiddle with gadgets. He also regenerates into another humanoid form when mortally wounded. Description: The Doctor values life above all else. He is the last of his whole race who were wiped out in a war but was something of a renegade before this event. He is boyish and gets excited but can also be very serious and gives no second chances. The TARDIS lurched, throwing the Doctor from the console to the floor. He smiled fondly and glanced up at the moniter "What?" he said, sitting up to peer closer. "What?" The Time Vortex had gone and the camera showed the dark interior of a building but the TARDIS sensors were telling the Doctor that he had landed nowhere in the universe. According to the database, this place didn't exist. The worst thing was that the TARDIS console was no longer responding to his commands. He jumped up, excited by the mystery and grabbed his coat. He pushed open the door and peered out at the gloom. There was an odd banging noise from nearby.

"You have armor? I didn't know humans used armor. I guess it makes sense…"
"Well, they used to - like what Grandpa always wore! I was too little, though--"
It was the gunshot that cut him off. Italy jumped, his eyes wide. Austria pulled the younger man behind him, although he didn't know what good it would do. Both of them were still unarmed. At least, Austria thought to himself, he could hold his own in a fight better than Italy could.
Hungary's frying pan was the only weapon she had at her disposal, so she held it at the ready as she drew closer to her husband. If it came to a fight, she wasn't sure how well she could protect either of them. Her eyes scanned the area, trying to spot their attackers; she saw someone on the edge of the roof. "There!" she called to the others, pointing.

The Doctor heard the shot and knew instantly what it was. He rushed to the small sliver of light which he knew to be the door, pulling out his sonic screwdriver as he went.
"Knock knock," he said to himself and was surprised to get a reply.
"Who's there?"
He thought he recognised the voice. "Doctor," he said in response.
"Doctor who?" Now this was just too much.
He traced the pulsating blue light over the lock and the door sprang open revealing a cluttered street full of people he knew.
....
They all heard the shot from close by. Jack pushed on the door again, hoping that the first push may have loosened the primative lock.
"Knock knock," He paused, frowning. He knew that voice somehow.
"Who's there?" he called back, still unsure.
"Doctor," Jack took a step backwards, could it really be him?
"Doctor who?" he asked hopefully.
He heard a familliar sound and suddenly the door sprang open. There stood the Doctor. The two of them looked at each other for a moment, Time Agent and Time Lord and then Jack hit him. "Where the hell have you been!" he said, glad to see the Doctor despite striking him.
The rest of the team watched silently as their Captain greeted a strange newcomer whom he was obviously overjoyed to see. Tosh glanced at Curly, wondering if she knew who he was.

Germany rounded another corner. A group of people were up ahead. He looked behind him and heard the beasts still pursuing. One rounded the corner. He fired a shot, still running towards the group. He hoped they could help get the animals off of him since more had joined the pursuit since it had started some streets back. Germany stopped and started firing till his gun ran out.

The sound of more gunfire, accompanied by the terrible baying of the creatures that had attacked earlier, made Austria whip around. There, running down the street, was a familiar man with slicked-back blonde hair, firing desperately at a pack of the creatures. Austria sucked in his breath. "Him too?" he muttered.
Italy poked his head out from behind Austria, waving frantically. "Germany! Germany-san! This way, we're over here!"
"Don't call him over here, you'll bring them down on us!" Austria said, but he knew he had to concur with Italy. What were they supposed to do, watch Germany getting ripped to pieces by these things? It didn't seem possible that they would actually be able to kill him, given what he was, but a lot of other things had happened that Austria wouldn't have thought possible, and he felt they could well be in more danger than they realized.

The sound of a gunshot alerted Larissa to the fact that something was wrong. It was thanks to this that the girl managed to narrowly dodge the shuriken thrown at her, yelping as she watched the weapon embed itself in the wall behind her.
"Oh no," Rank mumbled as he heard the sound of more of those dog creatures coming near. Paired with the fact that there were apparently attackers on the roof as well, he knew this wasn't going to be good.
As Larissa sent a fireball toward the attackers on the roof, Rank made a dash past Axl into the building with the busted down door, hoping that it would at least provide him with shelter from the creatures and the attackers.
Though he was really starting to wish he had a weapon of his own to defend himself. Not that he'd likely know how to use a weapon if he was handed one--or at least not use it very effectively--but he felt useless hiding in the nearest shelter and hoping everyone else would be able to handle themselves.
He started looking around the room he was in, wondering if there'd be anything of any use that he could borrow. Like a wooden plank with a nail sticking out of it at the very least.
((I'm thinking there should be someone inside the building, but I'm not really thinking of anything interesting at the moment, so... if anyone wants introduce some new character/foe/NPC in the building, feel free. >_>))

"Captain," said the Doctor, smiling fondly. Jack nodded. "Doctor."
"Will someone please tell me what is going on here?" Gwen almost shouted, "Jack, who is he?"
"He's the Doctor,"
"Well that's helpful," muttered Owen bitterly.
More gunshots started, closer then the first single shot and they all remembered the group they had seen before who had headed into a nearby building. Jack and the Doctor hurried around the corner and spotted a lone man in similar dress to Jack heading across the street in front of them. Jack tried to call out but he man vanished behind the building on their left.
The sound of barking reached them and then they saw the huge doglike creatures bound into view. Jack raised his gun ready to fire.
"Jack don't!" The Doctor grabbed the barrel and pointed it down. The dogs hurried past in their persuit. "What did you do that for!" cried the Captain.
"I don't like people with guns." he replied icily.
They sped around the corner and saw first the dogs, then the man running and, in the far distence, some of the group of people Curly had seen before standing around an open doorway, preparing to fight.

How he suddenly ended up standing in the doorway after flying into the building due to dashing into the door, Axl wasn't sure. If he had been standing there for more than a little while, and the whole group had been quiet, maybe he would have heard the footsteps that precursored the shot. Thankfully, due to the armor and other things, it wasn't as bad for him as it might have been for one of the humans. But it still hurt, and it still startled Cinnamon.
"Get inside!" Axl yelled as he shot at the mysterious person on the roof. Meanwhile, Cinnamon made an energy field that would give Axl more power.

((Omni - Whoops. >_>))
M-286 took the hits without flinching. A gibbering noise broke out from within its chest as some of its systems took damage. A part of it that was still biological wanted to seek cover, and adkkj8234n&%llalsdknb0aw&*FCss29345)bh0#VC/+lasb238&B3410vblblpp]/'a1l4kbna023kj4ljvasght22974ygbnblnnps8-2-235783bajsr0t8324;3gg damage was inconsequential compared to its master's wishes. It continued to fire at the armored stranger.
T-113 looked at the three strangers who seemed to be reacting with offensive and defensive abilities to M-286.
if (armored && unarmored) {Priority == unarmored;}
T-113 aimed its rifle at the stranger with the wand and fired.

Jack had had enough of watching and not acting. He raised his Webley and stepped out of reach of the Doctor. He fired it at the dogs and managed to bring one of them down. He took aim again when another round of bullets was fired from somewhere else. They watched as one of the figures standing in the doorway was blasted backward.
"Where?" Jack muttered, wondering where the attacker was.
The team arrived and pulled their own respective weapons out and together, with Jack and the Doctor in the lead, they advanced down the street keeping an eye out for the attackers in the darkness.
The Doctor reached the body of the dog that Jack had bought down. He bent down to inspect it whle the rest of the group continued along, still firing at the dogs who had not yet given up their persuit of the man.
"It's fake..." said the Doctor with his hand on the dog's muzzle.

People were in danger; she couldn't just stay passive. Pointing her machine gun at the ground, Curly fired, using the beams from the gun to propel herself up and land on the roof. Searching around, she spotted a dark figure hiding in the shadows; that was the one who had fired at the young girl. She held her machine gun up and unleashed a series of shots directly at the person.
---
Zelos frowned for a moment, trying to locate where the attacks were coming from. Finally spotting a stocky figure standing at the edge of the rooftop, he looked for just a moment more to pinpoint its location, then took cover in a doorway. He closed his eyes to concentrate and purple runes began to appear around his feet, glowing slightly.
"Thunder Blade!" A gigantic sword pulsing with electrical energy appeared in the sky and plummeted to hit the ground where M-286 was standing.

Owen and Tosh watched as Curly pointed her machine gun at the ground and lifted off. Tosh cried out in surprise and they they saw what she was heading for. The darker piece of darkness on the edge of the roof. They both shouted to warn everyone else and then followed Curly's example and fired.

"Germany! Germany-san! This way, we're over here!" A familiar voice called.
Ludwig looked around till he spotted three familiar faces. He raced over towards them. "Italy! I didn't think you would also be here. Nice to see you too, Austria." He didn't feel like saying hi to Hungry, seeing as she had her usual frying pan that he had once felt and never wanted to feel again.
Gun fire started from behind Germany. He turned and saw a group firing on the beasts. He looked around for something that would help him fight the beasts. He saw someone head for one of the buildings. He turned and started for it, hoping to find something in there that he might be able to use as a weapon.

Cyborg Assassins were not front line troops; instead, they depended on concealment and ambush to do damage. The burst from the machine gun ripped through most of T-113's primary systems. The backup systems came online immediately, but most only lasted for only a few seconds before being disabled by the rest of the stranger's shots. T-113 scuttled further back into the shadows.
The bolt from the stranger with the sword smashed into M-286 with force than it had expected, forcing it to activate its backup systems. Normally it would have stood and fought until its destruction, but today it had been ordered to test these opponents, not destroy them. It stepped back from the edge of the roof until it could not been seen from the ground, then reached up to its shoulder and pulled out a small blue data disk. It dropped the disk on the rooftop; if it could not return to base, one of its master's other children would come and find it. With that task done, M-286 began to slowly walk back along the planks to find a way to another part of the street.
Unfortunately, the electric blast had damaged some of the servos in M-286's legs. One foot slipped as it stepped forward, and the cyborg fell two stories onto the street with a loud crunch.
